Original Switching from EE to Red/Green

Hi there,

A while ago my boyfriend and I did the EE plan. While having the wide range of choice for food was great... it was also damaging. We found it very difficult to plan meals to far ahead.

Someone told me that Green/Red days were easier to follow. Can anyone shed some more light on how it works please?

This thread gives a lot of detail for all plans - but as a SW-er who prefers Original plan (also known as Red) the difference between Red and EE is as follows:

2 HEB choices and 2 HEA choices instead of 1 of each on EE.

On Red the following veggies are not free:Sweetcorn,Peas & Parsnips.

Also - you need to syn or use HEB choices for carbs such as potatoes, pasta. The HEB allowance is measured.

You also do not NEED to have third of your plate full of superfree, but its highly rec that you do have a lot of veg on the plan, but if you include the above veg they need to be synned!

Syns remain the same with an optimum loss of weight achieved if you have a daily allowance of 8-12 - no more than 15, no less than 5.
