Taz's diary - Need to do this!

Taz....well done on the weight loss so far. How fo you feel like you are doing this week? What do you do? Orig, green or EE? What was your weight loss last week? Mine was 1.5lb and I had been v.v.v.v.v.v.v naughty so just shows that super free foods work.

HI Soon 2 B Slim, I have DEFINATELY gained this week! Went away for the weekend and ate loadsa naughty stuff! I do greens with the occassional red if I am going out to dinner or having a meaty day but it's rare! I lost 1lb last week, will gain about 3lb this week!

It was this morning and it was shocking! I gained 3.5lb and I am really not happy about it. I HAVE to get this sorted out now, it's getting beyond a joke now. I am now 15lb heavier than when I got married just a year ago. I am now exercising about 9 hours a week and I can't do any more there. i just have to sort the food out now!

At least youve gone and faced the scales, well done ;)

And you know why you gained this week which is half the battle, look on it as a blip, you know what works (and what doesnt lol) and youre a total SW star, get back on that wagon this week and that gain will be gone in no time x

Thanks Sandy, it's just so depressing that it's now the middle of February and so far all I've done this year is gain!

taz - if you can plan what your going to eat a few days in advance then why not give success express a try? it falls off with that. if you don't fancy that then have green days but try and eat very little pasta and potatoes then bulk the plate out with salad or veg that's free on both days.

Salad and veg is where I fall down I'm afraid! When I started the plan I filled up on pasta and potatoes and was losing consistently. Maybe I should go back to doing that

How about turning it all round..... e.g. majority red days and a few green days?

I'm the same as you though - totally prefer green over red.

Perhaps your body just needs a change so it can spring back into action xxx

I gain if I do red days! I'm just going to keep going but do it properly and with all this exercise and see how it goes. One thing I am not going to do is give up. I was thinking about it earlier and what would be the point? I have gained 15lb in a year whilst trying, what damage would I do if I wasn't trying! So I shall stick with it and see how it goes

Good for you. You can do this and as Gem would say it's just a twist in the road! x x

Ah yes, Gem! I have had communications from cornwall and it seems the guinness moster DID get her along with some cake! So it looks like I won't be the only one with gains!

Oh no! How terrible for her. Hope she managing to have a good time in spite of that.

Say hi from me. x x

I hope this isn't a silly question Taz...are your clothes fitting looser than they did last year? Just a thought...I know a stone gain in muscle is large, but it's been a year...maybe? What do you reckon, if you've been adhering to the diet then what else can it be...also do you have any pre-existing medical conditions that might hinder weight loss or be on medication that is contra-indicated, etc? Hope this isn't too personal or been covered before and I've missed it...

I have cysts on my ovaries but I don't have PCOS if that makes sense! Before I started SW I went to the doctors (in my old surgery) and they said I should try to lose weight but it wouldn't be easy. So I don't know if those cysts are hindering my weight loss. From mid December to mid January I was on co-codamol which I know had an affect on my weight but I have been off them for a month now. I wasn't on plan at all at the weekend as it was our anniversary and we went away so I guess I shouldn't be too surprised. It might help if I put it down as a timeline:

Feb 08 weight loss 4st 0.5lb
Went away for 2 weeks to get married
Return gain 7lb.

Back to work for 2 weeks then start a 3 month training programme for new job, most training was in a hotel and fully catered. Held on to the half stone gain.

June 08 started job properly and started to get into a good routine of eating, weight fluctuated a little

September/October 08 my nan died followed closely by a very close friend. A month of death and funerals was not conducive to weight loss.

November 08 back on the wagon and doing well on the run up to christmas

December 08 head and neck injury which meant I couldn't train for 5 weeks and was on co-codamol for a month. In 4 weeks gained 7lb.

January 09 start to get things back to 'normal' join the gym and start working out more. Weight starts to go down

February 09 go away for weekend for anniversary, come back gaining 3.5lb.

Weight loss to date 2st 13lb!

taz hon. to me it looks like when you stick to plan then weight comes off. at the end of the day life gets in the way sometimes. we just have to do our best when it isn't doing so and not 'find' reasons for it to get in the way.

i think you'll get rid of most if not all of that 3.5lbs if you stick to it like glue this week!! if filling up on pasta and potatoes is what worked for you then do it. with all the exercise you do you're probably burning off the pasta pretty much straight away in any case!!

good luck babes.

abz xx

Thanks Abz, when I started SW I did NO exercise at all! Now I train 5 hours a week and go to the gym about 3 times for a 1.5 hour session. I really can't exercise more!
