hey taz. i would ring up and ask. then they aren't going to know it was you if you get caught :D better than having to hide it under your swimming cap!! hee.

i think changing the scales to lbs could be a really good move. i'm a little ocd about things like that and i'm not sure i could do it, but i think motivation-wise it could really help!!
 
I did consider that Abz! I had trouble with the earphones today and trying to discreetly replug them in was a little tricky!

With the scales I think it's just a psychological thing. If I can't see the stones I can't fight with them!
 
Morning all, it's quiet here. Are you lot still in bed? I got up early this morning to go for a swim and I'm not sure what I'm more impressed with, actually getting up and out of the house for the 8am swimming session or doing the 40 lengths/1000 meters in 35 mnutes! Oh yes, Taz has got her pace back! That's faster than my fastest time 2 months ago! Woo hoo!

Woo hoo got the 1000m/40 lengths down to 31 minutes today! Getting better! I have a sore neck and back today though, think I may have slep a bit funny last night. I hope it's better in time for karate tomorrow night :(
 
Morning all(?) I get the feeling my diary has been put to the back of the filing cabinet and forgot about! Ah well, I will ramble away.

Not swimming today as I am going training tonight. I don't usually go on a Tuesday but it's a special session tonight so I am going to go. It's Mr Taz's birthday tomorrow and we are going out to dinner which will be nice then having a party at the weekend. Scales are sticking at the moment but it's ok cus they aren't rising!

I have discovered 'My Fitness Pal' where you can keep a record of food and exercise and it tells you how many calories, carbs, fat and protein you should be having per day and works out how many calories you have 'earned' through exercise. Although I don't like the idea of exercise being a way to earn food, I think it should be totally seperate and a bonus

Hey all, yes fitness pal is free www.myfitnesspal.com you can get tickers, keep a food and exercise diary on there etc. Most foods already have all the nutrition info listed so you don't have to enter it in! And the best part is, if you go over your daily allowance you don't get any sarcastic messages about 'could have done better'!
 
Karate was NOT good last night! One of the Sempais thinks he runs the place and thinks he has the right to tell everyone what to do. Normally I just ignore him but last night he really wound me up. The new dojo has brand new mats which are quite slippery at the moment so setting stances is particularly difficult especially when you have bad knees that can't hold weight easily. He spent the first half hour barking at me to get lower in my stances etc and I just wanted to use him as a punching bag! He seems to forget that I will have my black belt before he will!

On the plus side, I got up early this morning to go for a swim and when I got to the pool I saw a man with earphones in and no one seemed bothered by it so after my swim I asked at reception and found that MP3 players ARE allowed in the pool! Woo hoo!
 
I am thanks Gemma, I am getting my diet back on track and getting back into all my training is helping too
