Taz's diary - Need to do this!

We cheat Gem, we're using the Tesco 2 minute ones. LOL.
 
Morning Taz :D sounds like you're doing brilliantly! the porridge sounds yum, and good luck with your Channel Swim Challenge :) You will be in those size 14's in no time :D
 
I do like proper porridge Jim so I'll have to work out how to do it or continue with the saucepan x
 
I agree gem, but times always a factor in the morning for us love.
 
For me too usually and will be in a week or two again but I set great store by my bowl of porridge x
 
Porridge doesn't take that long on the hob, if you cook it before doing all other morning stuff it can cool a little while you are getting ready etc. I reckon it only takes 5 mins more than cereal. And as long as you put water in the pan to soak it you dont have to wash it up straight away.

So the swim started yesterday, I left later than planned for the pool and I was due to start work earlier than I originally though so I only had half hour in the pool but I got my minimum of 40 lengths/1000 meters done. I was hoping to have more time as I want to do more lengths. Me and Nomad have agreed that 40 isn't the most we can do, it's the goal we've set ourselves so we just stop there whether we can keep going or not! Crazy really so we have agreed that when we have the time we will see how many we can do. Today I am hoping to have a whole hour in the pool and see if I can do 60 lengths
 
I used to do 64 lengths in a session which was a mile in the pool I was at. It wasn't particularly punishing at the time - it would be now though x
 
Morning Taz, 40 lenghts sounds good to me, but I agree that if you feel you can do more, you should.
 
This week if I get to the pool on time I have a whole hour to do it so there's no excuses really! I am just going to do the hour and see how many lengths I get done
 
It'll be interesting to see how many you can do before you've had enough Taz.
 
I will let you know tomorrow Jim. I have to be careful not to do too much as I have to go to work after but I will do what I can.

I am back on SW properly now but I am also doing the myfitnesspal thing and it's interesting to see how little calories I am having when I think I am eating loads!

Well I was a little late to the pool but I still got the hour done. And what an eventful hour it was! On length 11 I got cramp in my left foot then on length 29 I got cramp in my right foot! Somewhere in between that a rather inconsiderate person started to swim butterfly in lanes where there really wasn't room for it and twice her flailing arms hit me as we passed! Then I kept getting cramp in my feet which was annoying but I got 60 lengths/1500m done in that hour!

I was a little naughty and went to KFC after my swim yesterday and I just had to try the new release of Wispa Gold but that is all out of my system now and I am back on it properly. I am planning a takeaway on Friday night but I only have a small chow mein which is only 5 Syns. I have run out of strawberries and yogurt for my mid morning snack and after today I wont have any blueberries for my porridge or fruit for my snacks at work :( but it's pay day on friday which means shopping!

I am determined Jim. A little deflated too though as I have been exercising a good amount and eating well but the scales just aren't shifting! I put on a few extra lbs after a busy couple of weekends and they refuse to leave
