Hurrah for us!!

Miffed by wi this week, only 1.5lbs. I think it is probably due to ss+ and taking cold relief tablets. I have to make a better effort because I am way behind target with only 2 & 1/2 months till I go back to work and I'm not going be 10 stone. MissM please share your method for a great loss, I am so impressed.
Today I decided not to go to the village baby group so I walked around the city park for an hour. I need daily exercise. I know I have to drink more like 4 litres a day so I intend to do that. what else do you suggest?
Msjmc, the weekend must have been hard for you, are you doing any stage of the diet right now?
Trisha, hope the planting is done, you've certainly had the weather for it. Gardening is supposed to be a great workout, well done.
MissM, wishing you success with your interviews. The diet is obviously going well for you.

hi Wez , with CD I find people have a week of good loss and the next week a small loss , there are times when you have two weeks on the trotts of small loses .

with Cd I think ok today i'll start , I don't eat until 1 and i'm up at 7 everyday , but a few people from when I first came to this site are back on and its spuring me on to join , so i'll be cracking the CD whip again Tuesday . I am finding that I can easy get to week 3 no probs but then I start to see the scales not move and start to feel low and then demos come about food and I go and eat but not enjoying it but I carry on until I feel negative that I have done this too many times before and I'm thinking like this again , I think this is the first time I have never really sat down and thought , can I get past this ?
Does anyone eles get like this ?

Finally got all 4 litres in. Only done 2 by 5pm and then had the rest after I'd put the girls to bed. Hope it won't make me get up in the night as already up twice with baby feeds.

I know exactly what you mean. Wishing I would lose 3.5lbs every week so lose a stone a month is the reason for starting the diet. I guess I get fed up of knowing my meals are just packs or bars again. I love cooking. My dh has decided to do a low fat diet so I'll cook him a sw lasagne which'll keep him in meals for 4 nights. Trouble is, I want to be slim and eat a variety of foods.
Yes, I have seen results in that my trousers are getting looser yet my mind is struggling with the positives. At times it seems impossible to stick ss so I buy meat to tempt my cheating. If it wasn't in the house, would I just not eat it or choose to go out and buy it?
It is hard when people eat around you and goal feels a long way in time as well as weight loss.
When you crack that whip, I just wish it could be a magic wand. It just sounds like you are being so hard on yourself. There are so many successes on the main forum that it shows everyday people reaching their goals. It proves it can be done. I did it myself after my 1st dd and I felt good keeping it off.
It is just living the day-to-day diet where you abstain from food that plays on your mind. Keeping the vision of reaching goal as the forefront has to happen.
We all want this. This must be the best choice of diet. I just want my results now!

hi everyone. sorry I didn't get on yesterday, had a banging headache when I got in from work and went to bed for an hour, still hadn't gone so had my shake and back to bed, was going to go to the gym but couldn,t be bothered as I felt so rough hubby made meal for him and Emma.

when the scales don't move it does make you feel low and cheat and then the scales don't move, its a vicious circle.

Wez you are right, if I didn't have to buy food forthe family it would be so easy to stick to cd, but having to cook meals for oh and daughter make it so much harder, especially when they are both super slim and can eat whatever they like.

Jack hope thinfs are better for you, good luck with getting back on track, you can do it.
missm share your method you are doing so well

off to get reay for work, hoping to go to the gym tonigh and make up for missinf last night.

Hi Team , as you know I have not been on Cd for a few weeks , but today is the day , so far one bar , and my head is in the right place first I need to set my ticker , yes its not good . Today I stepped on the scales at 192 , so its gone up .
I will sort that out now to put the weight in . then I'll post ina bit .

Wez....When you crack that whip, I just wish it could be a magic wand , if only it was a magic wand .
Well I have set my weight back in , can't look back on lost time just got to move forward .
The answer to your Q Wez , huh I don't know if you would go and buy it , being home is a strain at times .
you have 43 pounds to go , That is not so bad on Cd it will soon move .
day by day is the only way to go , just keep looking each night you get in bed that you made it !!
Hi Trisha , Sorry you felt unwell yesterday , how are you feeling today ?
Yes with the scales they do not help , maybe I need to remove them totaly from my house , or get on them with my eyes shut and let someone else write the loss down ? huh . my CDC comes here to me so I could do that .
I think this is making me lose faith the scales .....
I would also like to do more brisk walking too , so i have a few things I need to work on , I know I have hard times coming up with mum but I must not let me lose the battle to lose weight when things get hard .... after all i'm wanting to look better , my daughter is a case , this morning my daughter saw this woman on TV said she looks like you mum , but you are fat , I thought time to move my .... lol
I told her after she is not nice hehe , I guess the truth hurts :)))
I'll be dreading the head from hell but after all its the results at the end of the day .
How long will you go Trisha at the gym ?

Trisha, hope you are feeling ok today! Good on you getting back to the gym, hope you aren't pushing yourself too hard.
Msjmc, glad you are surviving your restart. It's never easy but your determination will get you through.
Baby and I went for another 1 hour walk today, really found uphill a struggle, probably pushing the pram is so much more effort. People are in such good moods in the sun and acknowledge you. I was wondering whether it was too warm but I had a bottle of water so it was ok. The hv in our group yesterday told us that sunburn on kids is written as a non-accidental injury which is a worry. Yet both girls have factor 40 on today yet another mum in our group said she keeps her baby in the shade and doesn't want to put unnecessary chemicals on her. I felt she was naive considering all the skin cancer and sun safety adverts that are regularly shown each summer. The hv tried to persuade her that being in the shade wasn't protection but the mum wasn't convinced.
Managed 2 litres already as I got up 3 times last night and woke baby once. I'm taking dd to Asda after nursery to get her school uniforms, apparently there is a supermarket price war but Asda usually has the cheapest.

Its good to have some sun , but not too long , I think its hard to keep in the shade .
Its like my OH is a postman and he is out in the sun for 4 hours , I said it used to be ok when you got out early but now its not . I have said in the summer the postmen should really get out at least by 7am , and not 10 , they don't seem to care .
I get my daughters niform here and there , as I find it hard to get her size , so its azda , BHS , Market in the uniforum shop , and mothercare too . Last dress I brought her was 12 pounds .
Well so far so good , not long till today is over hehe . so far 1 bar and 1 strawberry shake ... huh whats for tea .... think i'll have a choc velvet out of the freezer .
How is everyone.

hi everyone I fine today, got to thr gym about 4:30 and left at 5:50, including half a hour in the pool. Glad I don't have to buy school uniform any more when Emma was at primary I got it from asda or m&s but at high school you had to get it from the school supplier which was more expensive, but i used to get her blouses and skirt for asda/m&s although you weren't supposed to, they couldn't tell, but school blazer/Jumper had to be fro them along with pe kit.

Jack well done on compl 1st day back on cd, keep strong. My bil is a postman, he got made redundant from his other job as a chemical engineer but got one as postman and really enjoys it, he had alawys liked the outdoor hiking etc, but says its harder than people think.

wez I always sued a high factor on Emma. and she still does as shes a red head and doesn't tan very easily.

I had a better day at work today, yesterday was c*** , I've seen a job I might apply for its doing similar kind of work, but working with year teams rather than the S.E.N team, so it will be more varied, but its a bit further away from home and quite difficult to get to driving, by taht I mean a very busy route from one side of town to the other, just got the application form today, so I'm going to read the job spec etc before I decide.

Could you visit the school while the kids are there, it'll help confirm whether you could tolerate the drive if the job is worth it.

Wahey Msjmc, you are almost through the day and doing so well.

Did well getting polo shirts and socks, didn't have her size in a soft skirt so they could order them, she apologised it could take 3 weeks, that's fine as we don't need them till Sept but will keep a check on them. Have to buy logo sweatshirts and cardi through the school, refused the fleece as I know they are a nightmare when all the kids have the same school coat, they can never find their own at playtimes and end of day. She had a lovely butterfly one this year which was distinctive so I hope to get something different again. I'm starting to feel super organised for her, already had name tags done, thank goodness they are iron on now as I am rubbish with a needle.

Only managed 3.5 litres in the end, cannot face having that last one, I have seen far to much of the loo today!

It could be difficult visiting the school, cause I would need to get time off at mine, but I finish earlyish on Thursday, so perhaps could drive over with compl form. one of the Ta's at school worked there last year, and said its pretty much like ours disipline wise (which is good) and the kids are in the main okay (like ours again) she left because her daughter was starting at our school and she only lives across the road from it, and had been trying to get in at ours for years, and because of the drive to the school. it gets better exam results than us, and is normally top of the league table (if you discount the private school that is always top, but selects students according to ability)

going back to the plants we bought the other day I never answered your questions. we boufgt a climbing rose, honeysuckle and clemartis, so hopefully should soon start climbing and hide the wall evenually.

Ok its a short one , as i'm having to go on my 3 hours walk anytime now , so just to say i'll try post later and its day 2 for me now , will catch up later with posts , feeling tired and woke up with leg cramps , yes I know why , water not enough of it . will be the same tonight as i'll be out walking and no gin and tonic , ops I mean water lol

Hi everyone, just got home from work, its been pouring down all day here, Emma has had a Spanish exam today so just 1 left for her tomorrow then she's finished all A levels, and I might get the computer back. just going to make her and hubby a veg lasange for their meal, I'll have a tomato soup, I really need to catch up on the water only had 1 lt so far.

Jack hope you enjoyed your walk,

Well i'm back ...
It was the paper round with my son . was a brisk walk as wanted it over with .
Wez , I don't blame you for getting uniforum now , so she starts in sept ?
all have the same coats ? crist that is a joke hehe .
I can't swe either Wez , there is not many people who can sew , and I have to pay 7 pounds a pair of trousers to be taken up ...
must learn lol
Trish , i take it Bil is your hubby ? so he a postie too , yes it is hard going now , they used to ahve it easy , but not now .
With mum I have a meeting with the hospice its a family meeting , so will see waht happens , didn't see mum tonight as thought i'd let her have less visitors , I think its all getting to her , over last two days she seems to ahve picked up , but it seems to be going good then bad .
I had my eyebrows waxed today , ouch lol .
Must get my hair cut also as my hair gets so thick .
Hows everyone doing on Cd , i have yet to have another CD , only had two so far , what i'm trying todo is leave it as late in the day to start my first one , as this may work for me .
Well hope I don't get a bad head this time ....
Spainish exam , how do she think she has done my son had an exam today , thats reminded me to ask him , how bad am i ?
not really any rain today just a few spots .
Yes get the water down you trisha , all helps with the loss , loo here we come

Jack, soz bil= brother in law, my hubby is a builder hes called Dave.
hope everything goes ok at the hospice. My hair gets really thick as well I'm having mine cut on saturday. Emma feels shes done okay in the Spanish exam, it was spanish lit where they had to write and answer questions on a book and play, which they've read (it was written in spanish) the questions were in spanish and they had to answer in spanish! I don't know how she does it I have enough trouble with English Lit at school, where they have to answer questions and lookfor hidden meanings etc, I'm supporting kids who say " I don't get it" and I want to day back "I don't either" but say lets ask the teacher to explain. what was your sons exam? Can't remember what exams were on at school today there was a science one this morning but I think they were resits and one this afternoon but I don't know what that one was.

Wez I can't sew either. When emma was in primary she was Mary in christmas play, had loads of problems trying to make her costume. Then in year 8 I had to make a "flapper" dress, they sent material home from school lol you should have seen emmas, it was a mess.

Blimey, sending the material home from school??????? Do they expect people to have the time let alone the skills, saying that our ks1 nativity were mainly shop bought outfits- Woolies will always be missed. Dreading that side of parenting, dad's partner is talented and made a super bees outfit for my daughter's bug day at nursery. Wouldn't want to call on her every time though.

Jack, did you go for a 3 hour walk? 1 hour is my limit but then there is nowhere really great to go, either trundling a pram along the pavements (except rubbish collection day - wheelie bin overload) or seeing the same park in your laps. Village has no pavement to nearby towns so can't even escape safely on foot anywhere. Can't complain really, being in the countryside is lovely.
Your sounding more positive about your diet so well done.

Don't envy you ladies having exam tension in the house, not looking forward to that either but it's a long way off, hopefully SATs for primary kids will be abolished by the time my girls go through.

Getting the 3 litres down me but finding the 100% impossible. Been eating celery (2 sticks are 13 calories according to the packet) and ham slices. Must stop picking but just can't help myself because I'm at home. Just want some miracle wi on Monday where I'm in the 12s...please, please, please.

Afternoon guys .... Well been busy with Decorating also had my friend here too , and shortly off to Street dance for Mia my girl .
Trisha yes it was science exam , I asked him how he did he said it was easy , but he is tops for that .
Emma is doing well , when she has finished learning where does she see herself in years to come ?
Well Bil dave what ever your name is lol well Dave a builer , good job , I was going to get a quote for my brick shed at the back of the house to be knocked down and go half way up the house to see how much it was ... help Dave lol
Wez my 3 hour walk it was brisk , its helping my son with his paper round takes about 3 hours with us both because where the round is is not on my door step . but yes all good fun lol
I see what you mean about wheelie bin , people here put them out and you feel like kicking them out of your way , some people just don't think ......
Yes i can guess you run out of pavement or there is none , does it get busy where you are with cars I mean if no pavement ?
I guess you ahve no st lights either ?
My OH mum used to live in a villiage and no st lights ...
I get plenty of water down me , I did a green tea also yesterday , its helps with 4 % weight loss I heard , green tea , eww lol
I just feel in control but hope it lasts really wants this !
Yes the sats , I wonder what life holds for my daughter , cos I think its 18 she will have to either stay on at school or a learning programe , as the gov put it , huh .
Its coming into force in a few years I think ... Ok must dash ass got to get a wash , as been working up a sweat with Decorating ... But how are you all doing with CD ? Rooting for you to get into the 12ssss Wez

Lol! We do have street lights. we do well for facilities actually: chinese & indian takeaways (indian has a restaurant too), 2 pubs, leisure centre with pool, small tesco, sainsbury & co-op, petrol station, hairdressers, chippie, newsagent, bookies, tennis courts and playpark. Although if we need to get anything decent we have to go to much bigger cities, thank goodness for internet shopping! I do worry about girls growing up with not much to do, nearest city is 20/30 mins away so could be a trek if they want to go out. Maybe we'll end up moving, but I love our house, been here 6 years and moved in 3 months before we got married so has exciting memories.

Diet was tough today, got the 3 litres in but attacking salted nuts, probably because I feel like a new taste. Went to exercise session today and we had to sprint in team races, felt bad letting team down but I have never been a runner, tried my best though. What a red worn out face I ended up with! Must be doing good.

I've found diet hard today had a really c*** day at work, I've got to swap 2 of my lessons with another TA cause she can't handle the pupil she supports and said pupil hates her, so I've got to be with him and she gets the pupil I support who is a real sweetie, in a double lesson that I really look forward to all week its just not fair!!!.

Then to top it all just found out that a really close friend is in a bad way, shes got cancer, and is in the local cancer specialist hospital at the moment, she was meant to be out last weekend, just spoken to her family and shes had to stay in hospital as shes got an infection and also the cancer has spread (although she doesn't know this yet), so well and truly fed up.
