**TEAM TINSEL** 4 stone for Christmas

Happy Friday all.
I'm in much better fettle today, thanks for all your support.
Spent last night making lists (re-focusing myself) and am going to spend plenty time this weekend cooking some new recipes with lots of speed food and hopefully the weather will be pleasant enough for a long bike ride on sunday and/or monday.

Fab loss Nat, well done :clap:

Just out of interest, has anyone been on any of the other teams' threads (spying the "competition"). I can't think anyone else is doing as well as we are? xx

I don't really get enough spare time to 'spy the competition' Andrea, infact I've unsubscribed to loads of thread recently, but what usually happens with most teams is that they tend to fizzle out as folk get bored/fall off the wagon etc Really really really don't want that to happen to this team :D So keep on posting through good times and bad.........we'll get there in the end :D lol

Speaking of good times and bad...............I've had a shocking week :eek: Food has been spot on. I've even been sharing my home with Mr Crunchie all week without eating him, but I've drank waaaaaaaaaaay too much fluid of the boozy variety :eek: lol

Thats a really good idea to PM people PP. I know that some people would be put off posting if they were struggling to stay on plan - they'd probs just stay away. So yeah, PMing them to make sure all is well and maybe encourage them to come back will help in some way?? Well, I for one give my permission to be chased :D You'd be doing me a favour really! lol

As for the falling down water..............I had syns for a fair bit of it, but unfortunatley the syns ran out before the drink did :eek: LOL Oh and I never fall down :p lol

Well weigh day this morning and 3lb off!!! Well chuffed as been down a bit and a bit unwell this week and was convinced sts doing shred every day and I have got my first stone!!! That's 14lb in 5 weeks

Glad you are feeling better, not got time ditto what Corky said. I spend most of my time on this thread, my diary and flitting on other diaries. I feel rude after subscribing to not check in even though it's hard to keep up with them all. I would like to have a look at some other areas (such as exercise) so am going to do that this weekend.

Ditto about the spying part. Can you syn your fluid or are you drawing a line with the glitter pen? I had some cashews yesterday could syn them but I'm not doing, I have got out my glitter pen for the first time. I really don't think it will make any difference half a small packet with all the cycling and walking I have been doing. Think about 300cals. The odd blip or binge or treat, whatever you want to call it isn't going to do any harm it's when we go off plan for days. Probably not the healthiest way to look at it but I am not a saint and won't live my life not ever having something I enjoy, as long as it's not all the time I don't see what harm it does? Not the SW way or any other 'way' I would imagine either. ;)

Yeah it's easy to PM someone, think you need 50 posts though. Shouldn't be a prob for us chatty lot. It not only pops up on here the next time you log in but also sends an admin email from minis to your registered email acct so will let anyone who's not logging in know that we are missing them. My only concern is that I vaguely remember reading in the rules on here that chasing/hassling somone who isn't posting isn't really allowed in case it gets malicious and stalkerish. I've just tried to find that rule but couldn't so I may have imagined it. Does anybody else remember seeing anything of that sort??

We could either give permission or all just agree it would be OK unless the person actively said no. Opt in or opt out I guess. I know I wouldn't mind and if anything I would view it like Corky as a strategically placed kick up the bum. If my thoughts on that changed I'm sure I could manage a final post to say to leave me alone too and providing that was honoured it would be OK I think. However I'll go with whatever the majority want to do. :)
 
WOW WAY TO GO!!!

Hope everyone is having great day, had lovely cooked breakfast followed by an hour long family walk, got paprika chicken and mini roasties cooking...roll on dinner time!

DD has just made some of the 1 syn cakes (choc and orange flavoured) they smell delish...she is biting at the chomp to ice them but they have literally just come out of the oven!

OOOooh that sounds intriguing. Just did a search but can't find choc and orange flavoured 1 syn cake....could you post the recipe please? I will veganise it! :D

they are ok - not the same as a real chocolate orange cupcake - they don't keep nice so either make 1/2 the batch or pig out and eat them all or make sure you have others to share them!

Yes, the one and only, Jessie pavelka. Corky and I have an agreement that whoever wins the lottery first will buy him for a week for us to share :) Then we'd buy him for another week for the fitness training :D

Here's the Sticky Chicken - it was delish but wasn't as sticky as I'd like it to be - guess that's the missing brown sugar! But I have found a couple of "sticky" recipes on the Recipe Board so I am going to research a little further

Served with Barney's Monday Night Rice (which is lovely)

Here's the recipe so far: (anyone got any ideas how to improve stickyness?)
[h=2]Sticky CHicken...lovely but still a work in progress[/h]
3tbsp Tomato Ketchup (3 syns)
6tbsp Honey (6 syns)
2tbsp sweetner
2tbsp soy sauce
4 cloves garlic
Good sprinkle of chilli flakes
= 9 syns / 6 chicken breasts = 1.5 serving per breast

Mix the above, warm up in microwave for 1m 30secs, stir well

Place chicken in dish, coat chicken breasts with sticky sauce, cook on low for about 1 hr

Next time I will score the chicken breasts and marinade for at least 12 hours before cooking
 
Sorry I've been AWOL this week but I've not been well, I won't go into details here but my thread has a bit more info. So well done all you losers. I'm chuffed to say I have joined your happy band with a 2lb loss this week. Also hoping for a good one next week as I'm not able to eat ATM. The only consolation for how carp I feel.

WE HAVE LOST A COLLECTIVE, MASSIVE, IMPRESSIVE, FLIPING OUTSTANDING, 5 STONE 13.5LB :eek::eek::eek::eek: and we haven't even been at it a month yet!!

Cheats never prosper...I lost 1/2lb this week - am disappointed because I have stuck to plan religiously, I have literally eaten 3 meals a day with carrot sticks if I felt a bit hungry (which I haven't). Strangely I can see the loss this week - my face and tummy are shrinking

So no treat for me today!

Me too you can PM me I give permission. I don't think it would be deemed stalkerish or in any way inappropriate to send someone ONE PM. If they don't respond then we don't continue, but each has their own interpretation I guess.

I highly recommend this sticky chicken - proper good sticky stuff

Chicken Brest chopped into pieces put in a bowl with:
3 table spoons of:
Honey
Balsamic vinegar
Soy sauce

Plop into a pan or wok on high heat stirring every few mins for about 20 mins - it won't look like its doing much until the last 5 mins here it goes all sticky and gooey / tastes like proper non diet food lol

Lol. Oh I just think he's so cute, and just the way he speaks to his 'clients' he's really respectful and very motivational. Chris from the US one is growing on me but not as cute as Jessie.

When I saw the US one advertised I pinged Corky to let her know Jessie was back. Imagine our disappointment when it wasn't him! But he's back on sky 1 Saturday 1pm.

Thanks! Tons of eggs and sweetner, would have to sub lots of egg alternatives which would have to be synned so not so much 1 syn but many hahahaaahh. They don't sound so great actually aren't they a tad sickly sweet? (I really hate artificial sweetner the taste is awful)
 
Have turned to vodka but with good reason we found out this afternoon one of my husbands very good mates (I'm close to his wife and kids) was killed today another from his regt is dead and two injured we are such a small regt like a close family we al know everyone gutted been looking through pics has kids are 6 5 and 3 :0( so gutted off track big style
