**TEAM TINSEL** 4 stone for Christmas

Hi ladies! It was my son's christening today, so had to face the dreadful buffet. Luckily it was what we made ourelves so I was able to stick to some healthy options and not go too nuts. I had the tiniest slither of death by chocolate tart and a very thin piece of christening cake, two cocktail sausages and 2 bitesize sausage rolls, so i'm estimating those at around 25 syns, but I saved 10 syns yesterday so hoping it will still be ok. If not then there's always next week, but my son is only getting christened once so I didn't stress too much about it.

It's my first weigh in tomorrow evening! I don't really feel like i've lost any weight, but we will wait and see I guess! Will let you know how weigh in goes tomorrow x

Hope u had a lovely day at the christening and your right it only happens once so I'm glad you enjoyed it altho sounds like you were good on plan so well done u :) How was the outfit btw I'm sure u looked lovely :)

Good luck for WI today I'm sure u got on fine x

Here's my weird lasagne. Was actually yum, had to stop myself from having seconds (as you can see the first portion was rather large ;))

Managed 3 litres of squash & 3 cups of green tea today so should be enough water there. Have just had to down a glass of water to get rid of hiccups so that'll be me up piddling through the night

Here's to a great week for everyone. Good luck for tomorrow Sam, I'm sure you'll be just fine. xx

Welcome Shelly. With the great support of the fab gals in this group I'm sure you'll get your 1 1/2 stone by christmas. xx

Whoo hooo!!! First weigh in tonight and I lost 5lbs! Taking me to 15st 3lbs so hoping to get into the 14's next week!! It will be forever since I have been in the 14's as I never seem to be able to get below 15st 5, but this week I've done it! So pleased, as I tried to make healthy decisions at my sons christening and the buffet afterwards yesterday, and it seems it paid off! :) so so happy!

I wasn't going to go to the classes but going to try to if I can save £5 a week go it as I think it will be really helpful and I like the fact that I can get out once a week for some adult company instead of being at home with the baby all week :)

The christening went amazing and jack didn't cry at all when he got wet lol! The outfit wasn't too bad, some photos I look hideous because the angle just shows my boobs and I look huge, but there are a couple of acceptable ones :)

Good luck to all the other Monday weighers! Xx

Well done Sam that's a cracking start for you :) x

Team tinsel is the best......missed you all - been totally pants and just lost the plot!! Guess what starting again - Grrrrr.
Promise to be good girl......and btw Mr Grey is coming on hols with me at end of month xx

Well done Sam, that's brilliant and Dexter's Mum those pointy shoes out for you and me both! x If I disappear I have been banned. Not too sure how it works on here but I am being censored, ha! So as I won't wind my neck in, and I refuse to ignore questions on veganism - are you kidding me?!! - I may be kicked off. If so then that's my reason for going AWOL. I have had a jolly time with you all, it's only a possibility and who knows this may be removed too..... Keep on keepin' on folks! xox

Just a quickie as I am off to work...Ems here is my try something new dinner...

Pastitsio, a traditional greek dish that I stole from Corky
1341249874511.jpg1341249538661.jpg1341249546689.jpg1341249553311.jpg

1 medium onion
3 garlic clove
¾ pt - 1pt vegetable stock
1tsp dried coriander leaf, dried basil, smoked paprika, parsley
1/2 tsp dried chilli
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1lb Extra Lean mince or Quorn Mince
14oz can chopped tomatoes
salt and freshly ground black pepper
8oz macaroni or other similar pasta
12oz fat free natural fromage frais
2 medium eggs, beaten
4 level tbsp freshly grated Parmesan cheese

1. Preheat the oven to 180°C/Gas Mark 4. Peel and finely chop the onion and garlic and place in a saucepan along with 142ml/¼ pt of the stock. Bring to the boil, cover and simmer for 5 minutes.

2. Stir in the oregano, cinnamon, Quorn/mince, tomatoes and remaining stock. Bring to the boil, cover and simmer for a further 5 minutes. Season well.

3. Meanwhile, bring a saucepan of lightly salted water to the boil and cook the macaroni for 10-12 minutes until just tender. Drain well and mix into the Quorn mince. Pile into an ovenproof dish and place on a baking sheet.

4. Mix the fromage frais with the eggs and some seasoning and spoon over the top of the Quorn and macaroni. Sprinkle with the Parmesan cheese and bake for 50 minutes until the topping is set and lightly golden.

I must admit I did add lots more chilli to spice it up and next time would probably leave the coriander out as hubby not a big fan

Served with new roasted pots and greek salad! (although I didn't have any pots)

Hello all! back from my hols, and just getting back into normal routine. back to plan as of today, and need a good kicking to get me back to exercise too. i'm changing my WI day to Friday as it's more convenient for me. Don't expect miracles from me from this weeks WI though, as i've been off plan for over a month, had to endure a holiday with lots of take-aways and junk, and had a wedding. tbh all the junk has made my stomach churn, and i'm glad to be able to eat 'proper' food again! i don't even want to see cake for a long time yet! hope everyone's doing well. and where is Corky?

250ml in a standard cup
500ml in a pint if that's any easier? Most of my mugs at home fit between 300-400ml. My glasses 250-300ml.
That link that Andrea kindly re-posted take with a pinch of salt, like most things on the internet. I drink between 2500 to 4000 a day. The higher end if I have walked far but that's really pushing it as you pee all the time. It's not hard at all to fit in 2 litres. It's only 4 pints or 8 halves ;) I don't drink soda as I think it's the devil. :giggle: If the police use it to clean up RTA's and you can stick a 2p piece in a glass to have it come out all shiney and people throw it down the toilet to clean it.... imagine what's it's doing to your insides. It also bloats you and apparently can make your sugar cravings worse, not to mention the harm it does to your skin. But that's just my opinion ladies on stuff I have read and seen. I have to admit I stick to plain water.

I sooooo agree about fizzy! I showed my kids the 2p thing n it didnt bother them! Lol kids! They only get it at mc'd n thts once a month if they'r lucky. I like a odd diet coke at bingo but would rather wine! Lol ive never heard o ppl using itto clean the loo?! I like new tricks!
Going to go messure my glass now to see how much i actually drink!

Hi ladies
How are we all? Just catching up as I was AWOL yesterday. I'm glad you cleared up the water thingy-ma-Bob as I did the water calculator don't think I could have drank 4 litres a day :) I brought myself a new water bottle yesterday whilst out shopping for me to take to work make sure I'm drinking all day it looks like this (don't laugh :) )

Well WI day again for me, have had another 100% week even with a night out I minimised syns elsewhere to allow for that bit still no movement on my home scales. Fingers crossed for the ones at class!

Good luck fellow Tuesday weighers x

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooo, they can't kick you off. WTF!!

VFL why would they kick you off for answering questions? If people want to know then I see no problem with that, it's not like you're pushing them to be vegans! Thanks for the well done Hun, really chuffed with myself and going to keep it up :) I hope you don't get kicked off the site but if you do good luck with your weight loss journey and keep up the good work xx

So they've banned her then   and deleted her diary. She put so much effort and time into that diary. I'm completely gutted.

She was banned for her behaviour after being asked to refrain from further breaches of the rules of the forum, having already breached them. Unfortunately I am not in a position to discuss this further, but if you have any questions about this, please feel free to pm Pierce about it.

If I have any questions I shall be asking her about it. I think this is very harsh and a tad over the top. I do not know what has been said/written as I have not visited her diary for a few days, and now I never will as it seems to have disappeared into the ether. There was a diary that she put her heart and soul into and I know I speak for many other members when I say that she was always informative and extremely helpful, answering numerous questions and queries to such a length it was obvious she felt passionately about what she was writing. Are we not all adults here? Are we not entitled to an opinion? I may not have necessarily agreed with everything she said but, as an adult, if there was something I wasn't sure about I'd take it upon myself to research and find out more information, not go crying to forum moderators because my point of view was different. Nik was a genuinely liked and cherished member of this team. Always supportive and motivational, never, in my opinion, confrontational or insulting. I'm genuinely gutted that I can no-longer access her diary, could you not have removed anything you deemed offensive and left the rest of her hard work alone? I hope you can begin to understand how much this forum was also helping her in her weight loss journey. Does your conscience not question what the effect of removing that could do? Us members invest an incredible amount of time, effort and energy into this forum and I know that if it were taken from me it would take a lot of getting over. One thing I do know about her is that this won't dent her determination and drive to succeed in what she started. I just find it extremely sad that I can no-longer share my journey with her, and I hope you realise that this doesn't just affect Nik and whomever she had offended but will have a knock-on to so many people who were touched by her passion, humour, sincerity and friendship.

I feel bereaved.

Andrea. with respect you werent here last night as this unfolded, you didnt see what was said and to who and by who. Banning someone is not a decision which Admin make lightly. Its an action of last resort. Noone went 'running to a Moderator' There were plenty opportunities for the matter to be resolved amicably which werent taken.

If you wish to discuss the matter further please contact Admin direct. The decison has been made and will not be discussed further on the open forum.
