I wish I had the confidence is going swimming, I used to love it as a child. Wouldn't dream of getting into a swimming costume now.

I'm rust starting to run now - I've set myself a target of running a half marathon in 2012, but the sports bra I just bought was a complete waste of money. I'm an E and need something fairly robust too!

May I join you? I have just found this website today - I joined S/W last week and looking forward to my 1st weigh in on Tuesday. i have 6 stones to lose and with your help I hope I can acheive it by the end of the year.

I had a now or never moment in oct and joined a gym, at 27 st i was really anxious about it but went for it anyway.

surprisingly it has slowed my weight loss down, but i am definetly fitter and have more stamina than i did 3 mts ago

It took me another month to pluck up the courage to go in the pool but now i do it once a week and cardio twice a week.
i have a little routine to get througth the horrors of getting in

i bought a sarong and wrap that around my waist, wear it to the pool side and then take it off hang it on a handy rail and get straight in. now the silly bit i sing to my self in my head to distract me from those around me. once i am in the water i am ok. I repeat the whole routine when getting out.

to be honest i go at 7.00 am on a sat morning so it is always really quite with the same people around. I make myself more uncomfortable, than they do

when i am doing the cardio nobody watches you they are all too busy running

at this point lily is probably picking her chin up off the floor cos i really wasn't interested in exercise at first thought i was 2 fat Lily inspired me now ise enjoy it and am slowly building it up. once my losses are really slow and i feel fit enougth to take it on. i am planning to book some sessions with a personal trainer
and have started saving for this

can't believe i am encouraging people to exercise early on

I wouldn't be too nervous about going to the gym.. As u said, people are into their own routines and you're covered up so it wouldn't bother me... But getting into the pool? Never.. Not yet anyway..

I've told hubby to become rich so we cab had our own pool... That's my solution lol

I wear a swimming skirt, matalan usually stock them they are the same material as your costume come down to above your knees. I've had them since I was 16, to hide scars at the tops of my legs from self harm and because I didn't like my legs.

I wear them now just because I don't like showing too much leg as my bust is an E I get stared at by men enough - I hate when men don't talk to my face! I feel like they protect my dignity of an area reserved only for my hubby lol.

They give me the confidence I wouldn't have in just a costume - just an idea for anyone not confident enough for a costume

This is the cheapest place I found it: Ladies Berlei Move X Bra

Rare for me to find something I actually feel "safe" in- but this definitely does the job (for anyone else, it goes up to an F Cup!)

Lol and me! I have these vest things from a company called sportsjock and nothing goes anywhere. Takes about 5 mins of wrangling to get in it lol.
Surprisingly not feeling too achey today but can feel I did some exercise
