Ok... so today: tomatoes, mushrooms, garlic, banana, apple, clementine (not my best!!)

Plus 15 minutes on Vibro Plate & 30 minutes walking...... does about 3 hours of cleaning count too lol??!!

I also made a 1/2 syn Fruit Roulade... hubby was UBER happy with that when he came back from the match!!!! ;0) xxx

Yes cleaning counts!!
And what do you do on the vibro plate lovely? x

Ok Roziee, here goes :

Pasta Quiche:

1 Pack of Batchelors Pasta n sauce (made as per packet instructions, most are free, but check them out, I usually use the tomato or chicken ones, both free)
When it's cooked and slightly thickened, pour into your pie/flan dish
then add 4 eggs and a tub of Morrisons eat smart natural cottage cheese that have been whisked together with S&P and pour evenly over the top of pasta. Slice tomatoes and mushrooms and lay over the top. (I didn't have any mushrooms left last night :()
Cook in pre heated oven for 30 mins on 180c.
Yummy yum

This is the one I made last night  xxx

I do similar quiche but without the pasta

Free on red and EE

3 eggs
tub cottage cheese with chives and onion
packet of ham
1 onion, 2 peppers
tomatoes

dry fry onion and chopped peppers and mix in a bowl with chopped ham and cottage cheese and eggs. Put into oven dish and slice toms on top and spray with frylight. Cook at 160 for up to 45 mins til it is really quite brown the chill and eat cold.

Going to try both of these, hens laying again after moult. We only have four and two are so old they are pets now!!!! The eggs work out very expensive , drives OH mad, lol
Happy Sunday

Thank you ladies

You have hens? How wonderful! Do tell us more :) fresh eggs must be delicious compared to shop bought ones... How many eggs do they lay in a week?

TBH It's the first time I'd ever tried making one lol! I used 250g of cottage cheese and 2 eggs, whisked together for AGES to try and get the cottage cheese as smooth as possible. I think for the next one I'll use one egg for each 100g of cheese - this one came out just a little bit too cheesy. Nice though! And I made them in little ramekins too, so they were really cute. (Dont have a quiche dish yet)

The Davina DVD I tried was her new Ultimate Target one. Never tried a Davina workout before, so can't compare, but it was really good. Lots of hopping and skipping about in the first workout though, I recommend a better pair of trainers than I had on lol!

Not a great way for me to start my diet, had some bad news this morning, sadly my uncle passed away overnight and unfortunately as I have such a bad relationship with food and use it as an emotional crutch all I want to do is eat chocolate! I know technically I can cos I don't officially start my diet till tomorrow but not really setting myself up for a good start! Anyone got suggestions as to how to get off the emotional eating?

Thanks
Helen

Hens

We gave some ex battery hens a home about 4 years ago, farmers get rid of them at about 18 months old as their productivity is starting to reduce, and farmers are business men. There is a charity which goes in to the farm, with the agreement of the farmer and takes them to a rescue centre. There are centres all over the country. They have a website and you can "reserve" you hens.we have taken 3 at a time.British Hen Welfare Trust

We have now rehomed 3 lots, some have died along the way, but they had a good life first.

You would not believe the state they are in, they have hardly any feathers, can hardly walk, as they have been in a cage for their short life, usually no bigger than an a4 sheet of paper. The law has now changed so they should have more room, but there are still battery hens being kept.

They soon settle down, and it's lovely to see them learning to be hens, scratching about in the mud. We have a small house that they sleep in and an area of the garden, which they have as their area, we tried letting them roam about the garden, but they took to sitting outside the back door and pooing on the step!!!

They usually lay one egg a day, 5-6 days a week. They stop laying in the autumn when the days get short, and two have just started laying this week.

They are lovely friendly "girls", pets really, and dead easy to keep. A sack of layers pellets last a good while.

The picture is the "girls" enjoying the snow last winter.

The eggs taste so different, and is fun peeking in the morning to see if there is a nice warm egg waiting for you!

Hello

Sad news,

Learning to control our eating takes time, and for me it's been the first time I have been honest with myself and I have good and bad days as we all do.

I don't think there are any "quick" fixes, I think it is about learning how and why we use food, and making small changes at a time, and trying not to slip backwards into old habits- then if we do slip, and we are all human, then we have to move forward without beating ourselves up.

Today is a hard day for you, if chocolate helps, then why not let it help, as you say tomorrow you start, but actually if it's not tomorrow, then start when you feel strong enough- we are here to support you when you are ready.

Thinking about you while you are sad

Can I join the six stone challenge please?

Hi everyone,

I'm new to the forum, this thread is exactly what I've been looking for. I have 6 stone plus the rest to lose! Please can I be added to the list? My first weigh ins on Wednesday. Ive done slimming world before and lost nearly 4 stone, I then put it all back on through battling depression for the past few years. I know the plan works so hopefully this time I can lose it and keep it off for good. I think last time I didn't appreciate being slimmer as it was never good enough! I'm a bit of a perfectionist so Im trying to change my mindset to get rid of an all or nothing approach.

This thread is fab, its great that we can all support each other!

Morning ladies,

After my lovely meal yesterday, I am planning on being ultra good until WI next Sat!

I would love another good loss this week.

EE day for me today

SF for the day

Mushrooms
Onions
Peas (I don't think these are.. I need to refresh myself!)
Carrots
Turnips
Sprouts
Apple
Blueberries
Rasberrys

If this horrible rain stops, I will be going out for a walk later with Hubby and dog.

Hope everyone is having a nice day xx
