Lovley piccies :D Lovely doggies :D I will have to find/get some pics of mine. Haven't got many because when I point the camera/phone at them, they run off like it's a gun I'm pointing! lol

Oh I wish I liked dogs..

Actually I don't dislike them.... But Pakistani parents (my parents generation anyway) always made us scared of them :8855:

If there was a Pakistani army walking in a straight line towards you.. Send a dog infront of them and they will run :8855:

I can say that because I'm Pakistani... Ahem!

:8855:

Beautiful doggies :D

I'll remember that the next time there's a Pakistani army heading towards me :D :8855:

Locked my soddin car keys in my car!!!

Took the AA four hours to get them out and i'm finally from group!

Lost 3lb though and survived zumba :D

Oh no Lucia! Glad the AA managed to get them out for you :) Reminds me of the time I dropped my car keys down a drain in the shopping centre car park  A lovely man came out of PC world and climbed down the drain to get them for me  I could have kissed him :giggle: I went back the next day (didn't park anywhere near a drain - and still don't lol) and took him a big tin of biscuits for his tea breaks :D

Well done on your loss - fab! :D How was Zumba? Fun?

I can second this by the amount of people who will jump out the way when I'm working my guide dogs along the towns and streets and all my secondary school friends were the same

Saying that we not long had our first guide dog paired with a Muslim boy and have since been granted permission to enter the mosque

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/leicestershire/7633623.stm

He's a really nice boy and his family accept the dog perfectly (took some getting used to I would imagine)

Morning!

I'm very, very pleased to report I have lost a box of Rice Krispies, an amardillo and a tent!

Or 4 1/2 lbs if you're not good at adding up inanimate objects and small animals!

:D:D:D

And Beau.
We adopted Billy six years ago when some friends of mine bought a house in Portugal, they were spending more and more time out there and their Mum couldn't cope with him for too long....I had not wanted to adopt a bouncy Collie, I was after am older dog that could live out his twightlight years with us.....but they persisted.....putting big bows on him (they are a gay couple!!) and strolling past the house....sending begging letters from Billy telling us his parents were terrible and he wanted to be a rock dog and come to festivals with us in our bus....very funny!!...he came to stay for a two week trial and never went home...I fell in love!!! Bill is a proper person dog and I am his person....I haven't been to the loo or had a bath on my own for six years now!! He sleeps under the bed and as soon as Mr Peacedove gets out Billy gets in!!
Beau is Billy's Daddy and when our friends sold their pub and moved out to Portugal permenantly four years ago he came to retire with us...and follow Mr Peacedove around make him go soppy over a woof for the first time ever!!! Beau was with us untill this Christmas when we had to make the horrible decision to have him put down. He was losing control of his back legs and couldn't walk very far and just seemed sad all of the time but he did make it to the ripe old age of 17!!! 113yrs old in doggy yrs!! We also have a Westie named Izzy, she was a rescue dog, she is my eldest daughters dog, Romi was having a difficult time, hated college, couldn't focus and I just felt she needed some responsability (I was very aware that I might have too take over and was happy to do so!!) The best thing I ever did, she is brilliant with her and she went from a lazy teenager to within a couple of years having a good job (training to be a dispensing optition) getting a promotion and winning awards for customer care.
Anyway, showing off over!!...better get some work done!!...yay for Friday...what are we all doing for the weekend, anyone need a pep talk pre a potential social scuppering...I know I will need one girls!!! xxxxx

Mandy....Jillian is the devil in knickers!!! I Couldn't walk down the stairs properly for about five days.....the family thought it was hilarious!!! I will try again though but maybe modify the lunges for a bit.....the thighs were wear it got me....the rest of me ached but in a good way, so you know it's working!! Let's try again together next week and see how we go! xxx

I'm starting tomorrow so I'd much prefer you ladies to tell me how gentle and kind the shred is lol (seriously trying to fool myself as I know darn well she's the devil!) lol

Very tired legs after my walk.. and it's all Jillian's fault! Last week I managed 8.4km on Friday...today only 6... she's a big meanie!
We will start again next week. I'll do it as soon as I'm not sore anymore, and then again after that soreness wears off haha

Only 6km?? That's still a great walk, well done. Did you find the stiffness wore off when you got going? You must be feeling so much better already, it'll get easier. :D

Lovely doggie pics, they're all so cute. Emmey, you have such a great job, do you get to meet the people your 'trainees' go to, do you have to train them too?

This is Chloe, she's almost a Beagle. She's 12 this year but shhh, I don't think she realises this. Most defiant, theiving creature ever and would do absolutely anything for food. But she's lovely and cuddly and a real character :)

Oh my! Seriously cute girl! I've always considered a beagle I must admit!

I do the early training such as teaching the dogs how to guide so don't get to train the clients - as the dogs move onto another trainer to do that part. But I do often get to meet many of the clients - Including those who get matched to the dogs I train and I must say It still brings a Tear to my eye when I see what a difference their life is once they get their dogs - so its an amazing job for sure :)
