>>> The 2012 Six Stone Challenge Thread <<<

Think I've worked a groove into the furniture in the 15s...been there since before Xmas lol

Would you like to borrow mine and Emmeys sofa? We don't mind :D We could trade you for a couple of plastic garden chairs?? lol

No thanks! Went out yesterday and bought all new garden furniture - a six-seater set and a two-seater bistro set, for the deck and the patio, respectively - so you're going to have to come up with a better offer!

Ah I don't know - I'm at 17s 11.5 but shall see what my weigh in of two weeks will bring on Wednesday but I might just allow you down first so you can clean the 16's :p

I won't offer you anymore help then :p We'll keep the uncomfy sofa and you can stay in the 15's on your comfy one :p :8855:

Trying hard not to comfort eat right now... had a bit of worrying news..
My doc rang about my smear test, with abnormal results. And she said "if you'd left it any longer it could have been cancer".. which leads me to believe I'm going to have to have the laser surgery..

Really just want to munch into a big bar of chocolate right now..

Mandy... please try not to worry too much, I know that's much easier said than done though. I think the way to look at it is that the smear test has done the job it's supposed to and caught any abnormality at an early stage where treatment can be very straightforward and most of all effective. I was in a similar situation about 15 years ago now, maybe more (it's funny 'cos I can't remember too much about it now although at the time it was I was devestated). They found an abnormality, got me to a specialist and I had laser treatment. It was a small precedure under general anesthetic. Afterwards I had to have more regular smears for a few years and everything was clear and totally eradicated. That was a long time ago and I'm sure medical precedures are much more advanced now. The C word really puts the fear of God into us, the health professionals might not always realise the impact of the language they use. As someone said, they deal with this all the time. Try to stay positive hun, big hugs xx :bighug:

Hi Girls..

I can see alot of you are doing amazzzzzingly well.. so Congratulations to you girls. Seriously, you are doing SO well.

Rozie x

A lot of US are doing well Rozie... you didn't include yourself! :D You're doing brilliantly too, you're sticking at it and supporting us all here and I'm sure you'll get your goal this month xx

Good morning losers :D

This is me reporting in with a 2.5lb loss, which I'm over the moon about considering last Saturday nights fiasco with the wine, jelly babies and the Aero  lol

I'm now into the 17's.........and planning on it being a short visit! :giggle:

So another 2lb to my Club(less) 10, and 4.5lb to my 2 stone shiny :D Would love to get them both in the next 2 weeks :D

Oh, and I've just awarded myself STOW :D :8855:

Excellent! Well done! Nice to have some mini goals to aim for over the next couple of weeks - might be good for the jelly baby population too :8855:

I have done myself no favours over the last couple of nights :sigh:. Thursday I had a friend over for dinner and cooked loads of little free food dishes which we picked at but ruined it by allowing 1 glass of wine to turn into 4! :sign0007:. And then, even worse, last night I allowed myself to be ambushed by 2 4 1 cocktails. They just sneaked up from behind and got me, lol!

And it's still only Saturday morning! I'm going to have to give myself a stern talking too and do miraculous things next week if I want to lose my 2lb :asskick:

On a serious note tho, in the past this would have been enough to make me give up but I've come on here, 'fessed up to it so I don't even feel bad and I will keep going! Happy Weekend Everyone! :D

I haven't actually had a smear in 11 years... so God knows how long this abnormality has been there.

Don't worry too much about the drinkypoos... you have until WI to sort that out. Just keep going the way you have been all along and you'll be fine. Sometimes you have to take the longer route in order to stay sane along the way lol

I've actually managed to stay on plan. And usually I'd have been drinking/eating til I felt sick after some bad news, but this time around is different. There's no real "work" involved in the plan, so it's easy enough to just plod on. Why should I let a "maybe" ruin my "definite" anyway. By which I mean, "maybe" I'm sick. But I'll "definitely" be thin ;)

Ta Sarah :) xx

I'm with you on the giving up thing of the past. I would have gone off the rails for a good couple of weeks in the past, maybe more! lol I'm becoming a fan of this fall off, get straight back on lark :giggle: In fact, I am a fan! lol

Sarah, we're like two peas in a pod where the alkihol is concerned. It's a shame you don't live closer, we could get trollied together...........second thoughts, maybe it's not such a bad thing we're miles apart! :giggle: I have no willpower when there's drinks about, and I'm a sod for encouraging others to "go on, have one, have another.......are you as pished as me yet" lol

Anyway, I hope you had a good time :) We have to enjoy ourselves as well as lose weight. Might mean we take the scenic route, but who cares eh? We will get there with our social life in tact! :D

Bet its been a while since anyone was on the 23's sofa, but hoping whoever was on it last left it all nice and tidy as I plan to be there soon! Probably a good bit of dusting to do but then that'll be good exercise! Lol!
Been invited to a friends wedding on sat 19th may and is love to be comfortable enough to wear a skirt to it. Would love to be in the 22's by then which I think is very achievable.
I had a letter from the drs the other day inviting me for a smear and I'll be honest I keep putting it off, maybe one good thing to do is if we all went and got checked out just in case :)

Dory! Have your smear! I put mine off for 11 years lol

And I bet you'll look amazing by the time the wedding comes around.

I had such an awful experience when i had my first smear that i didnt go back. but the gyn told me that was due to a medical condition so once im more comfortable im going to go back for one.

the first one i had showed abnormalities, but apparently the nurse couldnt have put the speculum (sp?) far enough due to the medical reason so couldnt have done an actual test.. scarred me for life. Its really affected bed times even now.

Anyhoos..

Hows everyones saturday been? I went to Bicester Village :D

I bought a lurrrrrrrvely Michael Kors Purse (Was on for 135 and i got it for 80) some boots from clarkes.. and some lovely crabtree and evelyn hand cream.. SO pretty smelling, love it.

Hubby bought 4 pairs of cufflinks.. they are very nice.. the ted baker ones were 75 quid and we got em for 25... very nice..

Then went to my friends house to see her babeh.. and she loved her gift because it was for HER and not the baby. I always feel that people forget the mother when a child is born.. so i am so pleased that she liked her present..

the flat is clean so tonight im just chilling :D

Mandy, im sure everything will be fine please keep us updated as we are all here for you if you want to chat, you are doing so well to even think of the diet let alone stick to it!! Xxxxx

Im also stuck in the 15s i think i may be here alot longer than i want to be lol xx

I had issues when I went for my last smear, it had to be repeated several times, first time they lost the sample, 2nd time they didn't take enough cells and the third and final time (within about 2 mths of each other) I had a very nasty case of thrush so that's seriously put me off but I will be making an appointment as soon as I get a day off.

Roziee sounds like you had a load of fun shopping wish I could afford to splurge like that but I'm constantly saving for something or other! Lol! My wages do NOT stretch far enough :( and now with my friends wedding coming up I'm gonna need a whole new outfit! Luckily I bought siobhan a lovely dress a cpl of weeks ago so she just needs shoes. But its a pay bar event so I gotta save enough as well to buy drinks as well! Eeeek!
