- as I just found Oatbran in sale in a london branch of Holland and Barrett for the first time in months.

(I never actually ran out, as I was still able to buy it in Waitrose in Hexham whenever I caught the train there)

Tee hee - my Sainsbury never ran out, but I have noticed that Tesco and Sainsbury have increased the size of their Quark display...

Was there a shortage? My local Tesco, Asda and Morrisons have always had it in.

One of these days a checkout assistant is going to ask me if I'm doing Dukan as I pile on my oatbran, quark, eggs, meat etc onto the conveyor belt ;)

In the days immediately after the Daily Mail ran their "Dukan for holidays" series oatbran disappeared from every retail outlet I checked:

That is -
1 large Tescos
3 large Waitrose in London
5 branches of Holland and Barrett

It wasn't a shortage, per se - just the sudden demand outstripping the normal supply.

I will need to buy some wheatbran soon and Ive not been able to see any on the shelves. Went to Tesco on Friday and OH NO no 0% Total
and Rhubarb wont even go there ;)

OMG! Total nervous break down in the aisle if that happened to me.

I once found only one little pot left on the shelf, and that was terrifying enough!
