One person said I shouldn't do the CD as I would end up with gallstones like her friend did when she did it due to rapid weight loss....

    ??????????

What's the most bizarre reason you've been told not to do it? Surely I'm not alone in this?!

Hiya nicole!! I know you can get that with rapid weightloss (I'm a nurse!) but it was the way she said you're definately going to get that!!! (Sorry, wasn't very clear in my OP!)

Yeah, I've had some of that too - weight loss of that amount isn't healthy, the diet doesn't work as you'll put it all on again as soon as you finish (only if I go back to eating family packs of doritoes corn chips in one go.. And I have no intention of doing that!!!)

lmao kazbro - well, between a rotten stomach and not pooing how are you finding the cd??? ;)

LOL People are so funny, unfortunately at the start of a diet you don't know much about yourself (I was in that position) it is a little scary hearing their words of wisdom:rolleyes:

Know looking back the comments it makes me smile. I was told by someone that they'd done CD and had lost lots of friends as they became so miserable and moody! I love the diet and my moods have been uplifted, definately more moody when I was fat.

Also another gem was that I'd go bald:eek: Just checked and still have hair:D

Oh yeah and possible death, due to blocked stomach:confused: apparently the powder from shakes etc. would just build up and up. I'm not sure wether they thought I'd explode after that;)

Anyway still here to tell the tale and feeling good!!!!!

Great post, can't wait to read other peoples comments.

    The usual stuff:

    "It's unheathy not to eat"
"Losing weight too quick is bad for you"
    "Your hair will fall out"
    "You'll get gall stones"
    " Oh god how stupid"
"You'll end up with a eating disorder"
"You'll get fat again as soon as you stop"

I've had the lot....I get sick of hearing it. At the end of the day it's my body & i will continue as long as i feel i need to, my family back & support me & only their opinion counts for me!:) ....

My niece got gallstones after losing weight, she was on Slimming World and wasn't losing it particularly fast. It's a side effect possibly, doesn't happen to everyone.

I've got nothing new to add. It's all been said.

As to the 'you'll put it all back on again afterwards' bit. Well if you make up your mind you're going to eat healthily afterwards for most of the time. You won't.

    Or the other answer is.

OI DO I LOOK 17st LIKE I WAS 3 YEARS AGO?

I already had gallstones before I started CD so not worried about getting them :) Funny thing is CD hasnt affected my gallstones at all and I havent been in pain with them at all since starting this diet, weird.

My hair is falling out alot lately, has been for a few weeks now but no way am I any where near bald, heh!

I've heard that one about losing water actually!!!! How much excess water are we all carrying???!!!! Fair enough, the first week you probably do lose a bit of water, but there's no way that could be kept up for 3 or 4 months!!! Especially when your body fat is coming down.... ;)

People are just jealous guys, that's all it is.

If they'd seen the programme on TV at the beginning of the year where CD won over other conventional diets, they would have seen the that the reason CD won was because the weight lost was mainly FAT.

Did I really have over 6st of water in me? And no fat? Weird

Good one on the water, considering we are supposed to be made up of 98% of the stuff - how stupid.

We only use 3-5% of our brains - so they have just proved they only use 1%.

Sorry being anal - and my poo is fine now thanks!
