The Princess Diaries (..and blog all in one!) **THREAD NOW CLOSED**

Yeh I have used the magazines quite a bit of the past few weeks to get some new ideas - I am a home weigher so don't get any ideas from a group so my inspiration comes from here and the magazines. I do quite enjoy cooking and have a lot of the gordon ramsey, gino d'acampo type cook books but unfortunately they aren't exactly SW friendly!!

I keep reading about the mushy pea curry but haven't tried it - I eat most things (hence the weight :)) however I can not stand mushy peas so am a bit wary of trying the curry!

Keeping everything crossed for your WI and hopefully will be reading about your loss in a few hours :) K x

The Mushy Pea Curry is very nice indeed, and surprisingly you can't taste the Mushy Peas at all! They kind of just add to the texture, and thicken the curry up. To me, it tastes like a thick version of chip shop Curry

Thanks so much for your lovely support Kirsty, you're a star.

Which day is WI day for you? You've had some brilliant losses so far! Well done xx

hope your wi goes well and get better soon, theres some nasty colds and bugs going round at the mo :( diary looks really good :)

Ooooh I love a chip shop curry - ok I think you have sold that idea too me now :)

Oh bless you, thank you - i'm a monday weigher so at the start of a new week which means plenty of time to beat another lb or 2 off (fingers and everything else crossed :)) K x

Thank you hun!! xx

Hi,
I am new to slimming world and reading your food diary has really inspired me. You seem so motivated which is so good. You have done really well so far and I wish you luck with your Christmas target. I think you will be just fine.

It is so good to see that you are eating quite a lot and still losing. When I first joined I was a bit like surely this is too good to be true...but it seems to be working for everyone else!
Good luck for tonight :)

X

Weigh In

Well, I don't know how on Earth I've done it but..

I've lost half a pound!! :D

Yeeey, I'm so over the moon! I know it's only a tiny half pound, but still it's a loss! I gained half a pound last week, so I'm pleased to have lost it tonight.

I'm hoping for a really great week this week, as I'd love a 2lb+ loss next week. Fingers crossed!! :)

Thank you all so much for your support, you are all wonderful :bighug:

xx

Day 51, Extra Easy: 16/11/11

Gooood morning all! :D

As you can probably tell, I'm still pretty excited that I somehow managed to lose last night  Only half a pound, but it is the half a pound I gained last week. I'm thrilled.

Also I realised, that 'unofficially' I have lost a stone. The first time I joined Slimming World, I was exactly 15st - I'm now down to 14st. The second time I rejoined I was 14.10st, so 'officially' I have lost 10lb. I think I ought to remember the bigger picture when I start getting myself down. I have lost 1 stone since the beginning. That's a fantastic achievement, and I need to remember that and not focus on the tiny gains and maintains.

The next time I lose weight, even just half a pound, I will be into the next stone bracket :D eek, how exciting!

I have so much to keep me happy and motivated this week. I am determined it's going to be a good one.

I'm planning on having lots of Speed/SuperSpeed this week, as I'd really love a loss of 2lb or more next week. I'm also still planning my meals on a daily basis, in order to keep me on the right track. I have found that planning, and knowing in advance that I'm going to be having some lovely meals stops me from picking at other naughty bits.

Also, my weekend is going to be spent alcohol and nibbles free. My parents are going away for the weekend, so I am going to have a cosy weekend in front of the TV, with garlic bread, pizza and wedges - all done the Slimming World way of course ;)

So, here goes. The start of a new week..xx

Hi Princess, thought id have a browse, hope ya dont mind ;) Sounds like your doing really well...keep up the good work xx

Thanks hun! Had a couple of bad weeks lately, not really been sticking to plan, etc, but I'm determined that this is my week :D

As of today I'm 100% back on plan, and absolutely loving it! I feel so much better for it already.

Hoping for a good week full of lots of yummy meals and jam packed with tons of Speed/SuperSpeed. I'd love at least a 2lb loss next week, but if I'm completely honest, deep down I want more than that. I know slow and steady wins the race and all that, but I'm so determined after my few rubbish weeks.

Oh wow, I just realised, have you got your half stone award today? That's fantastic!! Well done :D

xx

Lol, I got it back today, yeah. I got it a couple of weeks ago, but then had a big gain last week, and lost it, lol. I only do it from home, so the stickers cheer me up and make me feel better for it, lol.

Hope you manage a good loss this week, and im sure, if its a 100%er after a few bad weeks, you'll have an amazing loss!! When do you weigh?? xx

I weigh in at class on a Tuesday afternoon, so I'm in day 1 of my new week today :) Been 100% on plan and feeling good! xx

Day 53, Extra Easy: 18/11/11

It's Children in Need and the office is packed full of lovely scones, cakes, cheescake, etc, for people to buy and raise money. Such a temptation but I'm determined to be good! (I've got my Pudsey ears on as we speak ;))

I'm also really looking forward to a weekend stopping in. The last few weekends I have really gone beserk, and my results have showed that. Tonight I'm going round to my friends to watch Children in Need, so that will keep me out of trouble. And tomorrow night, I have the house to myself so I'm going to enjoy the X-Factor with lots of comfort food - Slimming World style, of course! I'm determined that not one drop of alcohol will pass my lips this weekend :D

I missed swimming on Thursday night, as I am loaded with cold and didn't want to worsen myself. I'm going to try and get some exercise in over the weekend too, and will probably spend a few hours sweating it out on the Wii.

Hope you all have a fantastic weekend, whatever you have planned :) xx

Day 56, Extra Easy: 21/11/11

Oops, slapped wrist for me! I've been so busy this past week, I've barely had time to sign on to the forum, nevermind keep my food diary up to date.

I actually managed to stop in over the weekend - I can't remember the last time I actually did, so that's a bit of an achievement for me :p However, I wasn't as good as I'd planned to be and did pick at a few naughty foods  Why do I do this to myself? Anyway, no point in crying over spilled milk. Packing today and tomorrow full of lots of Speed/SuperSpeed, and trying to cut back on my Syns ahead of tomorrow afternoons Weigh In. I don't think I've done too badly, certainly not as bad as I've been in previous weeks, but I'd like to limit the damage as much as possible.

So here we go, back on track..again  xx

Aah a quiet weekend sounds perfect right now - I haven't got one of those until the middle of December and I can't wait for it!! As long as you enjoyed your weekend I wouldn't feel too bad and fingers crossed for your WI :) K x

Thanks hun! You're soo right, the main thing is enjoying yourself. I certainly did enjoy myself, and it was nice to have a quiet weekend :)

Weigh In is tomorrow afternoon, so I'll be sure to let you know how I get on. I'm hoping for a loss, as I'd really like to edge more towards my first stone by Christmas (I don't think I'm going to make my Christmas target of a stone and a half :().

How are you getting on? xx

I think the best way is to keep chipping away at it like you are and you just need to think that however much you lose, even if it isn't quite the stone and a half, you are slimmer than you were when you started and on your way too target. I always think looking at the % weight loss really put's it into perspective (and also converting it into bags of sugar, so you have lost over 5 bags of sugar off your body which is amazing!!)

I know I am really struggling with the amount of meals/parties etc that we are getting invited too at the minute because of christmas coming up - I love going out and socialising but really don't want to ruin the hard work I have done as I am well aware the weight goes on much quicker than it comes off!! :( however WI was this morning and still managed to chip another 0.75lbs off even though I had an off plan weekend so it boosts me to keep going!! K x
