The Princess Diaries (..and blog all in one!) **THREAD NOW CLOSED**

Hi princess, it sounds like your weekend was really good compared to others. I was pretty good all weekend, food wise, but it was just the treats....had quite a bit of choclate over wknd, but im feeling pretty positive for Thursday's weigh in. Good luck with your weigh-in tomorrow luv...im sure you'll be thrilled x x

I think the best way is to keep chipping away at it like you are and you just need to think that however much you lose, even if it isn't quite the stone and a half, you are slimmer than you were when you started and on your way too target. I always think looking at the % weight loss really put's it into perspective (and also converting it into bags of sugar, so you have lost over 5 bags of sugar off your body which is amazing!!)

I know I am really struggling with the amount of meals/parties etc that we are getting invited too at the minute because of christmas coming up - I love going out and socialising but really don't want to ruin the hard work I have done as I am well aware the weight goes on much quicker than it comes off!! :( however WI was this morning and still managed to chip another 0.75lbs off even though I had an off plan weekend so it boosts me to keep going!! K x

That's a great way of looking at it, by looking at the percentage rather than the number. Sometimes it is better to look at the wider picture, rather than focusing on each week - you're so right. I think that's where sometimes I fall. If I have a bad week or have gain, I sometimes become upset and angry with myself. Sometimes we just need to sit back and realise how far we have actually come.

I'm the same, I have so much coming up! I have two jobs, so two Christmas meals coming up. The first one is at Foffano's, a lovely local Italian restaurant. I've been there before and the food is to die for - lovely and authentic! Not very Slimming World friendly, admittedly, but I've already made my choices: Caprese SaladSlices of fresh Mozzarella & Tomato with Basil Oil Dressing (V), Chicken breast in a Garlic Mushroom Cream Sauce with homemade Chunky Chips, and Homemade Tiramisu  I can't wait already! At my second workplace, we always go to the local Indian restaurant. Again, the food is authentic and to die for, but again not very SW friendly. I don't care though, it is just two meals out of lord knows how many, and I intend to enjoy them :) Also have New Years eve party, a friends birthday party and other festivities coming up.

Going to try and enjoy myself, without going too overboard. If I happen to have a gain over the festive period - so what. It is expected, and deserved xx

Hey TT, thanks for your comment! I've definitely been a lot better than other weekends, so hopefully that will pay off.

Well done, sounds like you've had a good weekend too! I'm sure you'll have worked that choccie off by Thursday :p Be sure to let us know how you get on hun xx

Oh I certainly will do, but we are going to Taybarns tomorrow for tea, and I go with all good intentions, but usually end up giving up when it comes to deserts. Im gunna go raid their salad counter, then their carvery counter, and skip the bad bits in between, lol x

Doesn't it sounds gorgeous! We went there last year too and it was to die for, so I'm really looking forward to it. I think for the rest of that week I'll probably do a few Success Express days, and limit my Syns. That way I should limit the damage.

I think you still have to be able to enjoy yourself. I find that if I completely restrict myself from having something I am craving, I end up completely binging and not sticking to plan at all.

Day 57, Extra Easy: 22/11/11

Morning all! What a miserable day it is here, it's so grey and rainy - how depressing :(

Weigh In is this afternoon, I'm hoping that I have lost. Even half a pound would be fantastic, as it would mean I'd be down into the next stone bracket! :D Eeek, that would be amazing.

I'll let you all know how I get on. Hope everyone has a really good day xx

Weigh In is in just over 3 hours, and now I really don't feel up to it at all. I want to sit and pig out on all of the naughty foods I shouldn't..

I am sooo fed up :( As if this year hasn't been crap enough, we've had yet more bad news!!

Yesterday my poor brother went to work to find out that he was being laid off. There is simply no work, and he is lucky to have hung on as long as he did, but I feel so bad for him. He now has to go through the whole shitty rigmarole of the Job Centre - what a load of use that will be! He had booked up to go to Edinburgh for New Years Eve, and also has all of his Christmas presents to buy. He is going to be brass buttons :( I will try and help him out as best I can.

THEN Today we found out that some low life thieving ba**ard has tried to break into our garage!! We rent a garage a five minute walk from our house, and my brothers best friend's mum lives there. She had text him this morning to say our garage looked as though someone had tried to tamper with it. They had tried to rive off one of the locks, but thankfully it had become stuck at the other side, and they had not managed to get in. My dad has phoned the police, but of course they are not interested. He has to make an appointment or something like that, and all they will do is log it for insurance purposes. He has also had to phone the council to sort the garage out, as it's now jammed and he can't even get in to get the car out. What an arse on!!:(

Hurry up 2012, and please, please be better than 2011. I have had enough

Well Weigh In last night, and I gained a pound  I'd be lying if I said I wasn't gutted, but I suppose it could have been a lot worse. I'm going to have to be really good this week, as I've got plans to go out this weekend, and I don't want to gain again next week! Oh well, here's to a new week..

Awww i totally feel for you hun - so annoying when you put on! I know that next week will be a totally different story, and you will be reporting a loss!! xxxx:p

Thank you both for your support guys! :) It really is your support that keeps me going. The support and motivation from this forum really is invaluable, and I'm so greatful to everyone.

Heres to a really good week. I'm going to try and pack in lots of SuperFree and Speed/SuperSpeed foods. I'm also going to try and cut back on my Syns and save them for the weekend. I'm going out on Friday night with a few friends, so lots of alcohol involved. Then on Saturday I'm going to Middlesbrough to do my Christmas shopping. Hopefully all of that walking will burn off a few calories, and I'll make smart choices throughout the day, rather than grabbing the dreaded convenience foods such as Greggs, etc. Then off out again on Saturday night!

Really hope I'll have a loss next week. I have realised that I'm not going to make my Christmas target of a stone and a half, but I'd like to at least have lost a stone, officially.

How are you two getting on? Do you have any plans for the weekend? xx

So far so good this week but it's is only a day and a bit since WI :) I have a pain of a weekend coming up - friday I have my sister-in-laws 30th birthday party, saturday night I am out for a chinese with friends, though I have volunteered to be DES to limit the damage to just the food (SW is doing something strange too me, I never volunteer to be DES!!) and the Sunday our friends have invited us out for the day!! I then have monday where I can be 100% before my 4 day trip to the christmas markets in Cologne - I am not looking forward to WI after that!!

I know what you mean about the support on here, I think I would have given up well before now without it!! K x

Wow, sounds like you've got a very busy weekend indeed! The main thing is that you enjoy yourself, and don't deprive yourself too much. Besides, I'm sure all of that walking around the Christmas Markets will burn off some of that naughtiness :p xx

Saturday is my girly christmas shopping day to Bath, which could cause me a few problems, as it normally involves LOADS of food stops, and of course the smells from the stalls of crepes, nuts, burgers etc normally manage to lure us in:cry:!

Although i plan to have a decent breakfast before lift off, no sweets will be taken on the journey just my trusty Hi Fi bar, and an apple. Lunch is normally an Italian so that will be fine. I THINK LOL xxx

At least you have it planned out! Great idea taking a HiFi bar with you to snack on. You could always take some fruit too, just incase ;) I must admit though, crepes are my weakness  I just wouldn't be able to resist!

An Italian shouldn't be too bad. If you went for a tomato based pasta, and avoided anything creamy/pizza, I think you'd do fine! Aslong as you enjoy yourself, that's the main thing. You could always have a day off-plan, as long as you stick to it for the rest of the week. It's just about finding what works best for you :)

xx

Hey Princess, just been catching up with your diary, and I really feel for you. It sounds like you are determined to beat the scales this week. Best of luck with it.

My OH and his brother rent a garage about 5 mins away from where his brother lives, and I have lost count of how many break ins and attempted break ins they have had....it really miffs me off!!!

Also, i hope your brother finds some work soon. It must be awful to lose your job, at any time of year, ne mind a few weeks before xmas.

Like you say, new week though, so hopefully your luck will change x x

Thanks for your comment TT. Your right, it's a new week and a new start. I've been really good today, and hoping to continue this way so that I can enjoy myself at the weekend.

I've got 4.5lb to lose before I reach my stone award, so I'm hoping I can do this before Christmas, as I'm definitely not going to manage a stone and a half.

How're you getting on? xx
