Hi I struggle with lunches especially when I'm at work as normally I only get a half hour break. I was thinking about getting some low syn/syn free tinned food that I could take and quickly heat up as I'm fed up with sandwiches, pasta salads. Or do you have any other ideas for quick lunches please. Thanks

If you have a microwave then jacket potatoes and beans are always filling, and you could pre cook the potato so it doesn't take as long when we need it. Tinned ravioli is quite low in syns I believe, or soups.

Only homemade soup would be free and a few could be counted as a healthy extra but most tinned soups have no free food allowance :)

I do green days so I buy the Stagg veg chilli (2.5 syns), Tesco chickpea dhal (free) and Sainsburys meat-free bolognese (3.5 syns) although some meat-free ravioli is very low and even free in some cases :)

There is a lunch thread on here you could take a look there for quick to prepare/eat yummy meals, unless you do want tinned stuff, how about beans on toast, or spaghetti, hmmmmmm, can't think of anything else!!

Didn't McCain bring out those frozen jacket potatoes you only had to microwave (and were ready in like 5 mins or something)? Might be worth a look, I don't know the full details as I don't have a microwave!!
