tinned mackeral

Hi peeps

Can anyone tell me if tinned mackeral in tomato sauce is allowed on attack?

No... definitely not. In attack, plainest plainest, no oil, no veg. Tinned fish will have to be in natural form not in tomato or oily sauce...

In cruise, check the tin to see if oil most likely (if so, you'll have to mop the sauce off!)

I can't think offhand of one that wouldn't be... Cook fresh where you can as well, saving the tins for emergencies... you can use curry/tikka powder... look in our recipe thread... Vicky put some marinades etc. for chicken/turkey breasts... far better for you than tins etc.

I'm about to leave the office sorry! But there's loads of info in the recipe thread - and probably in our "what are you eating thread?" too... and others will be around this weekend I'm sure

Yes the tinned fish in water or brine are fine and tomato covered ones ok in cruise too !
