Total Solution Exante 2.0

Funnily enough I just bought the updated version there a few days ago and was really cheered up to see that they have veggie plans now as I'm just not a big meat eater and thats the one and only reason I don't follow the plan with G, he loves it, it suits him perfectly and he has maintained his weight for years now. I know I sound like I'm probably spouting off a bit today, but I feel there is a bit of misinformation floating around these forums at times. Have to admit the s & S leaves me feeling stuffed and a bit bloated compared to Exante, I'll hobble along now for the next 9 or 10 days and then see what I'm going to do, I bet you have great losses after week 1 of atkins though xxxx

I'm reading the new one too aka DANDR. Apparently over on atkins there's lots on how you should keep up on greens and that atkins works best alongside greens. I'm astonished at how versatile the food choices are now. For someone like me it's brill as it works better with making food from scratch "clean and gree" they call it. I'll see what happens at WI. I may even gain initially becuase of the extremety of the last 4weeks, right now even a very small prawn salad is feeling like a roast dinner!!

Good afternoon pretty lady, hope you're having a fab one. Interesting reading! Hope you're enjoying your S&M :D:hug99: xx

Banging sore head still, was I not supposed to get this 3 weeks ago,was sick as well, maybe I'm getting a bug and it's nothing to do with the diet???

What to do now, I was sick earlier so I was -1 hazelnut shake, now sick after dinner so -1 mushroom pasta, so the only thing I've kept down is this mornings porridge and a bar.

Awww hugs sent, Dr giggles prescribes tablets and sleep if you can :hug99: xx

Aw noo! I hope you're feeling better soon pretty lady! Please keep us updated with how you are. I hope you're in bed having sweet dreams:4635: When you get up, make sure and remember to drink :hug99:

Not in bed, can't sleep, feeling a bit better, but didn't bother trying to have anything else, god knows what the scales will say on Thursday anyway, i hope I stay in ketosis aaargh.

Hubs not feeling great either so assume it is a bug, I just assumed it was the diet for obvious reasons.

Been hard at the atkins vegetarian research, I think it's definitely do able, although had to laugh when the suggested menus say 2 atkins bars per day for snacks, nearly fell off the chair laughing, have you seen the size of an Atkins advantage bar compared to a S & S one!! The main thing is it is do able, I really don;t like a lot of meat and eggs, could live off cheese though!!

Oh sorry about not feeling good, drink loads may just be run down your gonna have to soldier it out if it's a bug. I love cheese to brought some brie from a small deli earlier planning in having a 3cheese salad for brek with lots of black pepper, yum.

Ok I think I'm on day 4 of a banging head, surely this has to go soon!!

Another S & S day for me today, I find it so much easier and I'm not hungry at all, whihc is a massive bonus, really hoping thescales give me 3lbs this week, the last 2 weeks have been slooooooooooowwww. Weigh in tomorrow and then the last one will be next Thursday, still not decided what to do after the anniversary weekend, half tempted to stay on S & S, I will decide after the weigh in tomorrow!!

Have a great day losers, whatever plan you are on!!

Not good about the headache! I hope it's not something in the S&S that you're sensitive to?
I've woken up thinking I too might stick with S&S til nearer my goal. Its so easy and yummy. well, easy until you have a social occasion! :-/
I checked this morning and I'm apparently still in ketosis, but I'm carrying on regardless, I know those stix aren't rated too highly for accuracy.
what date do you officially stop S&S LW? I stop on 7th May and resume again on 14th. Have a great day xxx

Well DL a few things have happened in the last couple of hours to change my mind a bit too. I shall begin.. epic tale ahead, grab a coffee and sit comfortably LOL

I had wondered myself if the headache was related to S & S, I don't have any particular food allergies, so don't know what it could be, so I read up a bit on the interweb and apparently this headache could be related to a deepened state of ketosis which makes sense as painkillers are not helping it, this also fits with the not being hungry and generally feeling a bit more energy, so much better than exante there.

So this morning, actually after a coffee and a water I stepped on the old weighbridge and see I am down 3lbs and my official is not until tomorrow, I feel confident I will have 4lbs gone this week and I am very pleased with that because I haven't seen that coming off with Exante and I'm actually quite enjoying S & S, especially being able to sit down to dinner with Gerry in the evening and have our normal catch up over the dinner table. So big :checkmark green:

On seeing the results of the scales I thought hmmm, I wonder if the gorgeous cream crochet dress that my lovely step mum bought me (she got if for a pound from the M & Co clearance shop!!, but its so nice!!), might possibly be in the ball park for fitting me??? So I dug deep into the depths of my wardrobe and retrieved it, it's one of those 2 piece things which has a separate under dress type thing and then the crochet dress goes on top, tried on under dress bit....it fits, it fits well, so I think ok now for the crochet part, it's stretchy obviously but if it's stretched at all it pulls the pattern out of shape and looks too tight..........it fits, my god it fits!! Now I'm not sure it's the most flattering style for my shape, but it could actually be wearable!! Another massive :checkmark green:

My old dress that I've been trying to get back into fits me no problem now as well so I now have a possible choice of 2 outfits and Gerry had already said to get something new if I wanted so, from going from having zero, I might now have 3 options :checkmark green:

When we first started the challenge we said we'd go for a champagne brunch, usually an all in affair in a hotel bubbles and buffet, start at 12pm finish at 4pm is the norm, but we've both said now we want to stay off the bubbles, too many carbs for Gerry and like me we'd rather have a vodka blow out than start packing in carbs for no reason. So we've decided to go for a more romantic meal and a top notch place next Thursday evening where it will be entirely possible to keep off the carbs. Then we are meeting friends on Friday for what used to be our normal Friday happy hour (8 hours) pub session. Saturday will be spent dying on the couch with a hangover and probably a burger king, and then Sunday 6th, I'll be back on S & S yaaayy, decision made. :checkmark green: I just don't feel ready to move on to a food plan yet and I want to re asses my goals, I'm pretty much back to my normal weight now, anything in the 13's was pretty right for me, I should be there by next week, so it's time to think about taking it to the next level.

So tomorrow should hopefully be saying 25 days in and 18lbs lost.

Not sure what to do about next Thursday though, do I eat in the morning and knock myself out of ketosis in preparation for the drinks??

Any way thats my Ben Hur style epic saga over with for now, bet you are sorry you asked LOL

With regard to the ketostix, I find them quite reliable and as far as I know you don't get a false positive from them, I normally test 2 hours after my first shake of the day, as it is possible to have ketones in the morning that are being flushed from yesterday. If it's pink it's pink, you may well not have knocked yourself out depending on how tolerant you are of the carbs and you went straight back on the S & S so who knows!!

Choc Shake with bits . 9/10, very nice and totally filling
Lemon Yoghurt Bar. 10/10 right up my street and very chewy as I had it in the freezer
Spicy Spag Bol: 9/10, very filling with broccoli and just a shake of cayenne pepper, tasted like a hot n spicy pot noodle.
Veg Soup: 6/10, not as creamy as Exante and needed a heavy dose or curry powder and cayenne to liven it up, still not bad
Mac & Cheese: 6/10 Not my favourite, had it poured over brocc and cauli tasted a little bit like a mac and cheese past n sauce, but only a little bit
Almond Vanillla Bar: 2/10 Yuck not my thing at all, won't be ordering these, put half in the bin, and normally I love anything nutty.
Hazelnut Shake: 7/10 Liked it, but it didn't like me
Mushroom Pasta: 6/10 Was ok but again it didn't like me
Museli Bar: Blaahh straight in the bin
Maple, Fruits & Almonds: Blaaaah straight in the bin

Wow thats fantastic, Ive looked at slim and save and might order the samples to see as I like the thought of having a meal too.

So pleased you can get in your outfit, what a great feeling :0)

That's VERY interesting LW and entirely probable especially if you are feeling you have more energy :)

 I'm over the moon for you!! Totally agree about how nice it is to sit down with an actual 'meal' rather than a bar or shake! S&S is the way forward. I think i'll order the mens pack too (you get more for your money)

:bliss:OMG, that's so exciting!! You must feel great :D

:hug99: That's great :) 3 options! wow! We will require pics please, before the vodka blow out---or after, might be fun ;)

Sounds like Mission completed then :) and then some! I'll be back on S&S the following week (14th), so we'll be in similar boats. Are you moving over to S&S forum or staying here, I haven't decided yet

So tomorrow should hopefully be saying 25 days in and 18lbs lost.

Great loss. It just shows that switching to S&S has actually helped rather than interrupted anything!

Not sure what to do about next Thursday though, do I eat in the morning and knock myself out of ketosis in preparation for the drinks??

Yes, I think you should, there's loads of talk on here about how dangerous alcohol is when you're in Ketosis. I don't know what i'd suggest that you eat but someone out there may know.... We want you back in one piece!

Any way thats my Ben Hur style epic saga over with for now, bet you are sorry you asked LOL

Not at all, I loved it! :)

Glad you said that, after the burger + bun, I ate nothing else for the rest of the day (wasn't hungry) and I had 2-3 litres of water so I think I may have flushed it out. Deffo getting a positive on the ketostix. At worst it'll slow down my loss, but I can live with that. I chose to eat it, and it was rather nice :p

Wow, so happy for you re' the dress. 3 choices! Woohoo go shopping girl!! :D

Hope your head's clearing and you're having a fab S&M day :D :hug99: xx
