Two weeks in.. Still no ketosis...

Well im getting a tad annoyed now! Its 2 weeks in and i have been 100% the whole time yet i am still not in ketosis.. can not get those sticks to go pink!!! is driving me insane. Yes im losing weight but not as much as i think i should be... am getting a tad annoyed about it all to be fair. Just doesnt seem fair that im doing exactly as i should, i havent cheated yet still no energy like people claim i should be having... arrrr... so unfair :(

Its making me consider changing diets if im honest, all this struggle just doesnt seem worth it, if its going to go on for aaaages.. :(

Jess, keep with it....the ketostiks only have to go a light coloured pink as you only want to be in mild ketosis. 13lbs is an excellent loss in two weeks, which plan are you following????

Try not to get hung up on the k sticks. You don't need to be ketosis to lose weight on CD. Lots of people never bother with them. Not everyone feels fantastic and full of energy in ketosis either, some remain shattered throughout.

Just my opinion but try and focus on the good you've done, the weight that's going and how quickly you can get to goal on CD. I can see how frustrating this can be but focus on your goals instead of the sticks xxxxxxxxxxxxxx hugs x

If you are not starving raging hungry all the time you are in ketosis. All ketosis is is the appetite suppressing side effect, the fat burning is all you!

You are in ketosis, ditch the sticks and see the weekly results. Some people never get a reading.

Like people have said above - from hours of googling and searching forums - seems quite a few people never get that stick to change colour!

Im 5 days in and in Ketosis - well according to the stick, and still a bit tired and hungry.

Focus on that stone, stone in 2 weeks is awesome! x
if you are SS or SS+ and not eating anything else thats not on plan, you have to be in Ketosis unless you are physiologically different than the rest of us.
This is because Ketosis is the action of burning fat when the carb / glycogen stores are not present to burn. As CD does not give you enough Carbs in the packs to be your sole energy, then your body has to take it from your body.
The fact that you have lost a very impressive 13lbs in 2 weeks shows that you are doing exactly as you should be doing.
I am curious as to know what you would think a good loss would be??
You have already lost almost the monthly CD average in 2 weeks so not sure how you could be doing better??

As for the sticks, there are so many variables as others have said, so don't fret.

You are doing well (really well) so keep up the good work.

I would say get rid of the sticks.. I personally have never ever used the sticks and have been on cd for 18 weeks..
As long as you are losing weight dont drive yourself mad about what the sticks say.. i remember reading a post the other day someone said there sticks never said they were in ketosis and lost an extreme amount of weight..

Jess - I'd rather be in your situation that what I had. I was showing ketosis whilst SSing, but still hungry - all the time. If you are losing, forget the sticks.
