Morning lovely ...:wow: didn't know I could be so inspirational :giggle: you make me sound so saintly :8855:
Good to see you back on track and I am glad I decided to take time out for me and my family off here, it's been good, even though I do miss being here and being able to catch up with everyone, the things I am doing are so worthwhile that it's all good in the long run.
Loving the cake it's so lovely
DGS sounds adorable even though he kept you awake lol been there .............
Good luck with all the DIY, you're a braver woman than me lol, but I am sure you are more than capable and wtg you for giving it a go, why not, my sis does all her own decorating and diy, so why not (never felt the urge to do it myself ...yet) :hug99: xxxxx
**Oooh I have a tip for you, re: the cake topper. 16 years ago when my stepdaughter got married she had her cake decorated with mini replica's of her bouquet made from icing and afterwards gave her Mum, Dad and their new partners and her grandparents one of the replica icing bouquets each to keep. We had no idea what to do with them until I spied an empty Forrero Rocher box, so I got some purple silk lined the box with that and layed the bouquet on top and then sealed the box with sellotape and put it in my display cabinet and there it has stayed for the last (close on) 16 years. Well after reading this thread I went and had a look at it and have taken a pic (will upload it shortly to show you), it's still as good as it was on her wedding day on 3rd August 1996, so that's my advice for keeping the topper, only don't buy Forrero Rocher and eat them just for the box :giggle: **
