Having mixed emotions today as I enter my 2nd week of DD!

Positive note - I did not have one single slip-up on the first week (have never been so good on a diet - ever!) and had amazing results.

Nervous note - I don't have the same motivation I had on 18 April... need to get that back somehow!!

I know Motivation is probably the biggest success factor for sticking to a diet... just need to ensure mine stays up. Its not bad, but even just a dip can be a slippery slope.

Help!

Hi Jess...1st day of 2nd week for me too...your loss for week 1 has been amazing-well done!

i know what you mean, i think...about motivation...i've stil got some-spurred on by looser clothes already...this diet is restrictive...particuarly hard with easter eggs floating around my house-not that im touching them!! But let me put it another way...2 years ago i did lighter life...week one lost 10lbs (only a lb more than on dukan...) and i was eating from packets and couldnt do any socialising at all...dukan is relatively easy to eat out on...i havnt yet as wanted to give myself the best attack...but will eventually...my dad is an old school atkins lovey...so i know the kind of choices to make and the right places to go...im rambling i know...but just wanted to help put things into perspective is the motivation is waining! You have made such an achievment in only a week!!

Anyway...keep calm and carry on!!!

Thank you for the kind words and encouragement - I've noticed that you and I were "attacking" this diet at the same time... congrats to you as well on your success!

Thank goodness we're all BBQ lovers around here and I'm totally not a sweets person, so this Easter weekend hasn't been too tough. I'm more concerned about the Royal Wedding day, but I'll post on that sooner to the day :)

What better motivation do you need than a great first week? If you think you are going to slip up just ask yourself if you would rather have 'whatever' or would you rather lose weight this week?

I don't think your motivation will waver, at least not for a while. The quick weight loss is amazing motivation and just keeps you going!
