When you have to lose half of yourself...

hi all, i not been in fora few days either lol, been busy, socialising, still on track with diet, oh one question, how many calories in a single vodka shot lol, had a few on friday lol.

I am feeling much better! I went out for 4 hours this afternoon and although I was tired I wasn't exhausted :D I'm taking some iron supplements now and I'm sure it helps. Back to "normal" for me :)

How many calories in a vodka shot? :D Well I wouldn't know, I'ma tea-totaller

I just cooked for the family: temptation temptation!!

Glad you are feeling better. Excessive tiredness is awful! Hope you resisted temptation :)

Hi bookworm, how are you doing? :)

I'm doing sooo much better :) And I have my WI tonight, I'm so excited! I will let you know asap how much I have lost.

The weather is gorgeous, I'm getting used to the diet and I am feeling strangely energised now that my periods are gone :D

Oh, as you can imagine, I sympathise fully! I would never admit it to anyone in real life but I avoid hilly places like the plague, even if it means I miss out on a great day out  Good luck on your weight loss journey. You may want to read Rainbow Rose's diary: she is following a healthy eating plan as well and is very successful :)

Have a lovely sunday bookworm, keep at it! :)

(hello and welcome perpleo :) )

Thanks RR :D I had a lovely Sunday. I went out with my husband and I went a bit crazy with toiletries. I know it doesn't sound like much but for me, it is a huge step forward as usually I hate fussing over my appearance (although I have a thing for Lush products :D ). Does it mean I'm starting to accept my body? Who knows, but I have decided to make better use of my best assets instead of hiding my youth behind baggy clothes and granny hair styles.

I also started looking through my accessories. I have some lovely jewels that I have not worn in ages because I didn't want to draw attention to my chubby face and neck. I'm not ready to wear them yet, but I think I will start soon :) I can't wait :D

I am feeling so good right now. I will be starting Week 4 on Tuesday and I can't believe I made it till now. I'm almost proud of myself :)

..and so you should be book-worm, I too am proud of you and your mind is in the completely right place to succeed. Great idea with the jewellery, you sound just like me, i avoid anything too fancy as I hate drawing attention to my many bad points :(..but get them ready girl, because your confidence is set to soar!
Set wee mini goals....new hairstyle when you lose so many pounds, a pampering session, manicure etc as the pounds drop off...you ARE going to do this, keep thinking of thathuge grin when you reach where you want to be :)

(thanks for the recommendation above, I never thought I would see the day, when I would be inspiring anyone..crikey!!!!!!)

But you ARE an inspiration RR! And I look forward to your negative to positive thought every time you post :D I can relate to all of them so far :)

You're so sweet RR. I will have to follow your advice of little rewards for my mini goals. I have not had my hair done in ages! Yesterday, I finally took the time to dye it (I've premature white hair: thanks dad for the DNA! ) and it took years off my face. AND today, I wore it loose and my curls were beautiful! Yes, I am complimenting my appearance, now that's a first  I could see my husband's eyes sparkle as he loves long curly hair so much: it made my day :) I know I have tough (and even very tough) days ahead but I also have lovely days like this one and I have to focus on them :)

Next challenge: I need to order some exercise DVDs. Someone recommended a set of DVDs, they are £5 off amazon and the reviews are excellent. It also seems to have an "unfit" level for every exercise which is brilliant as I am really unfit at the moment

OK, this is a first... I just ordered some fitness DVDs off amazon  They came recommended by another user on Minimins, the reviews were really good and they were really cheap :D

But I also just hurt my shoulder doing God knows what. It's not really that painful but if I don't take care of it right away, it will be a real pain :( Thank God though, my husband does lovely massages and he doesn't even moan when I ask for one :D

It's a 3-DVD boxset by Rosemary Conly :D (not sure of how to spell her name!)
I'm so unfit, I would rather start slowly, and at £5 it was a bargain :) However, I'm doing a VLCD so I am restricted to gentle exercise at this stage. You may need something a bit tougher :)
