Who else Is Being good over xmas?

Bit mad at myself after last night went a bit mental on the food :/ but not having any syns if I can help it today to combat last nights chinese :( had no syns or hex yesterday ..... Only had diet coke last night and one 25ml vodka drinks wise so hopefully I should claw it back ....at least it was only one meal and not a day or week propper de hydrated today from all Salt n pepper chicken but not really able to face food just had a banana and a small ff yog and loads of water :/ fingers crossed for a loss on sunday still
 
I have no hope, I'm going to my Grandma's for Christmas. She's an old Irish lady...my point has been made lol :p

Congratulations on being positive enough to join mini's on the last day of the world lol !!!!

Does that mean todays food is syn free . All of it !?
 
This morning i have trialed my baileys choc mousse gonna get some shot glasses i think so it looks funky and I use less (less syns ) but it contains 2 egg whites a heaped tbsp of sweetener a mini bar of dark chocolate (11 syns) and 25ml of baileys (4 syns) so its made 3 but will ho further in shot glasses so 5 or less syns per portion will upload a pic of choc i use
 
Ok so these are the choc bars i buy from aldi they come in packs of 5 and each one Is 11 syns so within my allowance and because it looks like a full size bar only mini i find it helps in my head lol

I've been so bad this week that i need to be at least a bit good over xmas!

Mum is cooking on Xmas day and all I have to do is fry light my own roasties haha ;)

But I'm excited to do a buffet for Boxing Day for all of us plus in laws. I love your buffet ideas Mrs W!

I'm cooking -
Mediterranean veg and feta mini quiches
Mushroom pâté
Veggie sausage rolls
Spicy couscous salad
Onion bhajis and yogurt and mint dip
Hummus

Buying
Plenty of cheese (just a little bit for me!)
Sainsburys paprika popcorn (instead of crisps)
Olives (1 syn for 8 )
Ryvita and wholemeal cobs (saving all my HEXB's for teatime!)
Quorn roast sliced up
Meat for the meat eaters

I will not be resisting my mum's homemade Christmas cake though - warmed up with a little bit of squirty cream ;)

Really good used mag for inspiration but just made up my own recipe 2 egg whites whisked to stiff peaks then whisk in sweetener mix melted choc with 25 ml baileys (or spirit of your choice) syn accordingly and carefully fold together

This Is one of the 3 pots but for Xmas day im gonna put in shot glasses and top with a sprig of mint and a raspberry
 
Cheese mmmmm if you like blue cheese the laughing cow light blue cheese triangles are awesome and you get 4 for a hex a really tasty and perfect for 4 hex B ryvitas

I love them but can not buy them here so my lovely sis brought about a dozen packs when she came over 2 weeks ago. They have such a long sell by date so they are o.k. They make a fantastic blue cheese dressing for hot meats.

I am so looking forward to Christmas now and will be as good as possible but as Christmas day is at the Chinese it will not be that easy. Boxing day I have the reins in my hands as I am doing all the cooking . As previously said earlier in this thread I will have a little of what I fancy without going to mad.

When we were in Florida recently there were lots of Laughing Cow light cheeses, French Onion, Blue Cheese, Sun Dried Tomato, Garlic & Onion, oh lots more, me & my sister were made up, I'd love to have brought some back but my bag (yes bag) was full of Christmassey stuff for my wonderful son & daughter.
 
Hey I forgot to add, I'm trying to be sensible over Christmas. Breakfast will be SW friendly, lunch will be ok but the piggies in blankets will be syned as will the dates wrapped in bacon, for dessert we're having meringue with fruit & quark for me, but cream for the rest of the family or Christmas pud, well maybe I'll have both:rolleyes: I've got a bottle of sparkling rose for the day & will have a glass of port with my lunch. But being at target if I'm a little over I won't go, but I will go the week after.

I'm intending to be about 50/50 so that should equal a maintain right ;) Reading through this for inspiration/motivation for the good days! I had a good loss this week and it took me down into the next stone bracket and only 2.5 away from my 1 stone award(this time round) so don't want that to be too far out of reach after xmas.
I had a night out Thurs drinking and then was out last night for my mums birthday lots of curry/spicy food and over half a bottle of red and I feel crap already for it so although was going to be drinking today I think I am going to stay sober and on plan to detox!
 
That's the other difference this year - booze! I'm drinking a hell of a lot less now because of TTC (apart from my Xmas do moment of madness last week haha!) and my mum can't touch anything alcoholic now due to her new medication. So on Xmas day I will prob have a bottle or two of the one syn non-alcoholic beer and a glass of the non-alcoholic sparkling wine that mum has bought! On Boxing Day I might treat myself to a nice ale but tbh that's going to be it...
 
Thanks so much for this thread, I have been struggling lots more than I ever imagined over the last two weeks with temptation everywhere! But reading through this has inspired me to not just see christmas day as a 'day off' but stick to it and cause as little damage as possible.

Good idea on the flexi syning actually as at least then I can be in complete control! (hate that after regret feeling of guilt which I've been experiencing a lot lately) I also signed up to a boxing day 10k to keep my body magic on track over this period and not to get lazy but I was scared over eating on the 25th would slow me down and make it harder.

Think I'm going to grab a notepad right now and plan what to eat Christmas day and decide on my syn allowance! Today, tomorrow and Monday I'm just going to keep syns minimal, and then weighing in boxing day evening will keep me motivated too.

i made a gingerbread house today for my sis in law ended up nibbling a few offcuts :( but have put 8 syns for that so fingers crossed its enough

weigh in tomorrow gonna have a cleaning mission tonight and may go on wii too

I've had a syn free day today and turned down mince pies and chocolate at a friends house. I'm trying to undo some damage from yesterday as I ate a few too many syns worth of chocolate.

It makes me happy that were trying to undo the oops moments rather than turn them into a bigger oops :)
 
I can't really keep track of what day of the week I'm on at the moment as I'm working rolling shifts with only short naps of sleeps but hopefully won't be going too mad and keeping very active.

Yesterday:
Wake at 9:30am

12noon: macaroni cheese pasta'n'sauce, mushrooms peppers red onion

Sleep from 7pm-8pm

8pm: diced chicken, peppers, salad, white rice, hexA quantity of cheese

Nightshift 10:15pm-9am
(1/2 shepherds pie ready meal at 2am, 1 Jaffa cake, some mango juice, sugar free Redbull, plenty of water)

Home, slept 10am-1pm

1pm chocolate ready break and 150ml ss milk

Thinking about having another meal soon then I'll be 10:15pm-9am shift again with another meal at 2am, but this time it'll be cooked from scratch with loads of veg depending what's been donated.

Impossible to work out when my days "start" and "end" at the moment so working out whether I'm on red/green/EE gets a bit silly, but I'll stick to 1/3 Superfree best I can, keep biscuits and junk to a minimum and make sure I have the odd milk/cheese.

That's a crazy schedule. I do night shifts but your pattern would kill me.
