Marge the best way i can describe half of 1 hot in a mug is like hot milk with alcohol in :-D Not slimy like some of the shakes either.

The 50 free shakes is a brilliant offer too, although i found a fantastic meal pack mix in a clearance deal. Can message you a link to it if you like as i could not find it on the site when i looked? sadly the free shakes don't come with that so i used a 15% code with it and that made the pack even less :-D

Sorry I have been quiet folks, its been a busy weekend! I will catch up with all your diaries in the morning as I am not in work then, but for now my only brief message is YES, the miexican chicken is very yummy and not too bad when you have a dollop with green salad (to my non Exante friends) and for my Exante friends I will say get some christmas pudding shakes and have one hot in a mug (or if you are me half of one) they ARE TO DIE FOR!! DELICIOUS AND YUMMY!!!

Pic as promised. Looks like there is loads of cheese but honestly there isn't! Its just cause its in the gaps between all have a bit in! There is less than a small matchbox full!

Hello peeps - apologies once again for being quiet, been a busy weekend. not busy of anything much in particular, just a lot to do if you know what I mean?!

Anyhow, I have just weighed and am chuffed and a bit gutted at the same time! I know you are never going to lose as much as you do in your first week, but I didn't expect my weight loss to calm down QUITE this much......
I have also come out of ketosis a bit for some reason, my sticks are more dark mauve than purple, but I have no idea why really :( I haven't eaten this weekend like I did last having a small 'ketosis' meal in place of a pouch, and if anything I have only been having 2.5pouches a day as thats all I have wanted (figured losing just half a pouch wouldn't hurt) so am a bit lost as to whats happened. If anything I should be more in ketosis when there is less going in! If anyone can shed any light on this please do!!

Anyway, rant over. I have lost 4lbs, and I know thats not bad, I just had my hopes up for a bit more.
 
4lbs is excellent! Mauve still indicates ketosis. Any shade of pink is ketosis it's just the darker shaders indicate more concentrated ketones ie not drinking enough water. Beige or cream indicates no ketones present. So you've done nothing wrong and are doing everything right, except skimping on half a pack as that's going to pit you under your recommended vits and mins. You will feel okay now but might feel your skin and hair, energy will suffer in the long term though :) xxx
 
Thanks for that Carrie -I know how the ketones (or lack of!) work as I spent most of my pregnancy in hospital being horrendously sick and on a drip so had that all explained to me and tested on every 'output' lol, but I don't get why they are so pale. Am certainly drinking enough -never seen without a glass or bottle in my hand at the moment! Don't get what I am doing wrong..... May start forcing myself to have the other half pouch as the christmas pudding shakes are so nice it would be no great chore -will just have to start the other pouches earlier as I get very full feeling on them!

Never thought I could feel so 'un-hungry' its sooooo not like me!
 
If your drinking loads then they will be pale as they're not concentrated. I was always told by my GP that the darker the stick is the more dehydrated I was. It doesn't indicate how many ketones are present, only beige means none and pink ( any shade ) means present. But the lighter the shade indicated how hydrated you are? Does that make sense? As far as I'm led to believe the lighter the pink the better? Darker means dehydrated and not healthy at all? I don't know if I've explained that properly in my last post. Xxx

4lbs is a great loss :D
But you may have lost more had you had all the packs ;). If your body is in starvation mode through lack of calories, it wont give up the pounds :)
I have to force myself to have 3 packs too when in a good bout of ketosis.
Well done on staying TS over the weekend :D

I know what you mean about finding hard to have a full 3 packs. Yesterday I did exactly the same as you & had 2 & 1/2 packs & tried to convince myself it wont matter or even help lose a tad more ;). Like Marge says though your body needs all the Vitamins & minerals in the pack or it will think it is being starved so you need to find away to have all 3.

As for the ketostix, I never use them. You must be in ketosis or else you wouldn't have lost 4lb, don't worry about them xx

DAY 15

Well you will be glad to know that I have already had two meals today (and I will just say that I LOVE the double chocolate bars!! they are like rum truffles minus the rum!) so its just one pouch later.

I have decided to try and remain TS until my birthday at the start of April. I know I will fall off the plan rather a lot then so want to get as much off before then as I can! Time will tell if I can stick with this resolve - but I do hope so!!
 
Well if you happen to have a crystal ball handy it might be possible but other than that :sigh:.

Did you feel happy with the interview ?

Of course you can stay on plan till your Birthday. All the less to worry about afterwards xx
 
4lb is a fabulous loss and one that you'd almost give your right arm to have on the weeks where your losses drop so enjoy it.

Eat all 3 packs!!!! Even when it's add a meal week you still need to eat them all to be sure you get all the nutrients you need xx
