Working out Syns on Extra Easy

How do you work out syns for example:

Pasta with pesto and pinenuts (shop brought) or rump steak burger with cheese (shop brought) as u are aloud both meat and pasta but what about the other stuff? Any easy way? Thanks!!

If you are a SW member then go on their website and look in the syns calculator on there. I find my first try is the branded search - you put in the brand then the key words and it will tell you the syns for a set portion size.
If you aren't a member then you will probably struggle with ready made things as it is difficult to work out how much of the whole product is syn free. Sorry I know this isn't much help.
