JUST HAD UPDATE, MY OTHER BRO HAS JUST COME OUT FROM VISITING WAYNE, HE IS AWAITING A BED AT A SPECIALIST SPINAL UNIT IN SHEFFIELD, THE DR SAID WORSE CASE SCENARIO IS HE WILL BE IN WHEELCHAIR, OR HOPEFULLY TIME MAY HEAL, BUT IT WILL BE A PAINFULLY SLOW RECOVERY.
HOPEFULLY THE SECOND WILL BE THE ONE FOR MY BRO.
I WANT TO GO SEE HIM BUT I HAVE WORK COMMITTEMENTS AND THE KIDS TO SORT OUT.

The body can be amazing how it can heal itself at times.

My son's best friend was in a very serious car accident earlier this year and like your brother they where not sure of the outcome at the time. Happily he is now well and healthy, but it was a tough six weeks before they knew for sure.

Hopefully your brother will make a good recovery also.

THANK YOU ALL FOR BEING SOOOOOOO SUPPORTIVE, IF IT WASN`T FOR YOU ALL I WOULD OF DIVED INTO THE FRIDGE THIS MORNING. OH HAS BEEN NOT BEEN SO SUPPORTIVE, HE HAS BEEN SNAPPING AT THE KIDS AND THAT WINDS ME UP. NO ONE GIVES MY BOYS GRIEF FOR NO REASON SO I TOLD HIM TO BUGGER OFF AS I DONT NEED THE ADDED STRESS............MEN EH !
ON TOP OF THIS MY SON HAS AN APPOINTMENT FOR HIS ADHD TESTS NEXT MONTH, AND OH ON HIS CASE IS NOT HELPING 1 BIT.
I WANT AN OH DUMP.......!

Well glad to hear there's some possible good news, just hang on to that & keep strong. You've got so much to bear at the moment & it would be so easy to eat, but don't forget to keep thinking of yourself too.

Fingers crossed for another good night.

To echo what Mini said a very good friend of mine was in a serious car crash about 9 years ago & at the time it was touch and go he'd survive the first night. Well he did and although it took a time for him to heal, he did, completely and you'd never know that he'd ever been in an accident now.

Only just seen this thread, I hope your brother is recovering well. Stay positive, I know how hard it is not to turn to food, but you seem to be very strong and we can help you get thru it. Sorry to hear you are having a hard time with OH and kids, stay strong for them too, make them proud of you.
Let us know how your brother and importantly how you are.

HI I HAVE BEEN TO SEE MY BROTHER. ON NEW YEARS EVE HE DEVELOPED BREATHING PROBLEMS SO WAS SENT TO ICU. THEY HAVE PUT HIM IN AN INDUCED COMA AND IS ON FULL LIFE SUPPORT. WE GOT BACK LAST NIGHT AT THIS TIME HE IS CRITICAL BUT STABLE ( NOT GETTING BETTER, BUT NOT GETTING WORSE). I SPOKE TO 1 OF HIS SURGEONS WHO SAID HE HAS BROKE HIS BACK AND HAS CONSIDERABLE SPINAL CORD DAMAGE. THAT THE BEST WE CAN HOPE FOR IS FOR HIM TO BE IN A WHEELCHAIR WITH FULL BLADDER AND BOWEL CONTROL.......SO NOT BRILLIANT BUT SUPPOSE IT COULD BE WORSE.
ANYWAY HE WILL NOT BE TRANSFERED UNTIL HE IS ABLE TO BREATHE AND IT COULD TAKE A FEW WEEKS.

WELL WHILE WE WERE AWAY I DIDNT TAKE MY PACKS AS THE HOSP WOULD NOT LET ME USE MY HAND BLENDER, BUT I COULDNT EAT MUCH ANYWAY AND HAVE NOT PUT ANY WEIGHT ON SO IM PLEASED WITH MYSELF IN THAT SITUATION.

Awww Honey, that must have been so hard for you. The last thing on my mind would have been the diet, so a massive massive well done for sticking to it as you can.

But I have to say that your have incredible strength to remain on your diet at such a time as this. Incredible.
