Yasmine's Refeed diary

your menu sound lovely again today, picking up lots of ideas :)

Thanks :), I feel as though I can experiment now with my food. It's amazing how your tastebuds have changed over time. So far, everything that I've eaten, I love :D

Thanks mary. Have to change what I'm having for dinner though. No Chicken fillets, so I'm just gonna have for dinner what I had yesterday I think.

Day 4 (edit)

Had to alter my dinner for tonight, as there aren't any chicken fillets at my house. No worries, I'm gonna enjoy my dinner tonight anyway :)

Looks just as good Yas.
Aww I have loads of chicken here, I could have emailed you a fillet or two.

I have had one of those ww fromage frais with berries today for lunch, it was lush, I really really enjoyed it.

LOL that would be awesome to do that!

Oh I can't wait to have my fromage fray, really looking forward to it :D

Enjoy Yas, thats the great thing about refeed - having different flavours and foods every day.

You can say that again! :D

Hi Yasmine. Just a quick question, do you weigh your potatoe cooked or raw? x
I weigh it raw, as I do with everything else :)

If it weighs more than 8oz, I cut some off until it is 8oz lol

Thanks :)

I just love rice, any kind. Love it. I think that's what got me into trouble too. Pasta and rice lol.

Yasmine - is basmati rice the best one for you?
Also, do you weigh it before cooking yeah?

Hi Yasmine, your menu looks totally yummy! I bought some easy cook wholegrain brown basmati rice in Asda, I can't wait to finally taste it.

It's the only rice I have at the moment. And I always weigh rice and pasta at cooked weight and take only 4oz. I saw in my calorie book, the calories are higher at uncooked weight for rice.

Plus my family always rinse the rice very well before cooking to remove extra starch.
Should I not be having it?

Thanks.

I want to try brown rice, might buy some today on my way home.

I heard on a tv cooking programme that white long grain rice is actually better for you than brown rice - i think i might look this one up :)

Seriously?

You know I wish dieticians would make up their minds about foods that are bad for you (if you have to much, I'm trying to avoid the whole, you can't have this or that approach :)) and good for you.

Eggs for example, they said it was bad for you, now they're saying they're good. God people, eat your damn eggs! they are good for you!

I always thought brown versions of white were always much healthier. So wierd :S
