Starting this so I can keep myself accountable as my weight has got completely out of control over the last couple of years. WeightWatchers 123 succes

I think the plan before PP was Discovery. Think 123 was before my WW time. I know with the plan before PP I was on a stupid amount of points and that's why I couldn't stick to it (16 points most if the time!) but with PP I get much more food. Good luck when you get started.

Lisa, I think your diet needs more fat TBH. What you're eating sounds more like what I used to eat on weight watchers. Not sure if this lack of fat has slowed your weightless or not as I'm quite new to this but it's what jumps out the most.

    How does pro points work?

I love the cooking from scratch freedom that WW gives. I don't like ready meals and WW lets me cook whatever I want as point it. Then if I'm out and about I also have the freedom to eat prepared food. I can do filling and healthy (old core), which is quite like SW and other days count points...

Most things are baked fresh instore from proper ingredients (water, yeast, flour etc). The few that aren't are things like baguettes, potato scones and croissants, which are baked from frozen. Pro Point Changes

Mines is down to 26 this morning as well so need to log on on my pc so I can change it back. Stupid WW. Why change what works for most?actually makes me want to just cancel my membership and go it alone and they can stuff it.
  48. M

    Pro Point Changes

Oh the joys! It's going to be like going down to 16 points again. I would have preferred that they dropped them from the weeklies. It's all psychological but prefer to see a higher daily figure. I notice that they promote using the activity points now. I never have used them but we'll see now.
  49. M

    Breakfast & lunchideas

I love to have some sort of eggs and toast for breakfast. Usually have about 10pp for my breakfast. Find lunch the hardest as I often eat it in the library at uni. Love a good, cooked dinner at night too so my points are easily used up.
  50. M

    Pro Point Changes

I thought WW had said the changes would be optional. This doesn't sound good. Soon we'll be back to the bad old days of points where 16 points was deemed suitable for someone to lose weight :sigh:
  51. M

    Pro Point Changes

I'm just going to stick with 29 pp as that's what works for me. If I stop losing I might look at changing but why change what isn't broken? I'm not a big fruit eater so would starve on 26pp (I eat loads of healthy veg (more than my 5 a day) but not much fruit as I prefer savoury to sweet)
  52. M

    Pro Point Changes

Must be on the 18th that they're announcing it as they sent out an email earlier saying there were changes from then
  53. M

They taste awful. I bought a pack in poundland and they're still lying at the back of the cupboard
  55. M

    Pro Point Changes

  56. M

    Pro Point Changes

Really hoping its not a cut to the dailies. I struggle with keeping to the 29 points for dailies and that's just for meals. Guess I'd need to start using more of my weeklies. Than I usually do. No matter whet they do to the points I'll just stick to what I'm doing as long as it works. I can't...

    Magazine App

Downloaded it and I really love it on my iPad. I have far too much clutter as it is so just downloading it is fab for me. I think part of the price difference not being as much as you'd expect is that there is more VAT paid on the electronic versions just like e- books.

Nope. There's nothing I restrict from my diet and that's one of the thugs I'm loving about SW that nothing is forbidden. The one thing I couldn't imagine giving up is butter. Marge just tastes like eating a tub of fat so prefer to syn butter.

    Cauliflower instead of pasta/rice

Mmmm. I love using cauliflower like this. Also love cabbage with a bit of buttery fry light and bit of garlic through it. Makes it feel much more naughty than it really is

Best advice you've got for a newbie?

Hello from another Weegie! The best bit of advice I can give is to make time for yourself. With an 8 month old life can be crazy but a wee bit of time for you helps settle things and so you'll be less likely to snack. I'd also say meal plan so you know what's for dinner each night so that you...

    iWatchr app nytmare!!!

If it's not got the old new bit just go to custom and type in the values I posted earlier. It was there in the old version Does your iPhone do it's updates automatically when u go to the app store?
  119. M

    iWatchr app nytmare!!!

Actually looking at it, it seems to have had an update sometime so just hit calculator at the bottom and choose European and under the calculation choose new

    iWatchr app nytmare!!!

In my iwatcher I choose custom and configured the following to make it work in PP. Protein: / 10.99 Carbs: / 9.17 Fat: / 3.89 Fibre: / 34.45 ( / is the divide sign so whatever it is on your mobile) I found iwatcher a bit of a faff so haven't used it for a while. Much prefer the WW one.

    Weigh in day?

I think as long as you do the same each week it will even itself out as you'll have the same amount of food in your stomach (a meal full) but if you eat some weeks and not others then it'll make a difference. If you and your family generally eat earlier I don't really see the point in disrupting...

What is the best meat to eat?

They're yucky! I wouldn't buy them again. If I remember rightly I think I threw them out for the birds!

    Lunch Ideas

Some great ideas here. Thanks as lunch is the meal I struggle most with

    woe is coconut

Avocado is a fruit and it's not free (really wish it was though as I love them)

My sister stuck to it religiously and sts

WW generally expects people to lose 1-2lbs in a week and this averages out over a period of time. Has she switched recently from CD? Sometimes a STS is just the body's way of sorting it's self out.
  126. M

    meetings or online?

I prefer online as I often have childcare problems too. I felt a bit uncomfortable in meetings but I'm really enjoying the freedom of doing it online
  127. M

    A big thumbs down...

I hated the WW pittas and wraps. Somebody on here said the Morrisons value pittas were good and good PP value but I've not tried them yet

Anyone on 29pp and have 3st to lose?

I've got just less than 3 st to lose too and have always been on 29 points. Some days I find it really difficult and have to dip into my weeklies just to finish my day. I'm guessing that when I get closer to goal I'll just have to ditch my weeklies, reduce them or not have them every week. Guess...
  129. M

    Confused!

That's a great list. Have a look through the online tutorials explaining WW on the your plan part of the website. Sort of explains what to do. WW also send weekly tips by email too. Good luck

    May challenge!

1 on this week. Not surprised as I stuffed my face yet again at the weekend when I was away for the bank holiday. I'm still going to keep my target and work my butt off. Doesn't help that I'm coming up to my exams so trying not to snack as I revise. Well done to all those that have lost
  132. M

    obsessed

Sounds like the mantra I should try too. I'm dreaming about my next meal while I'm still eating my current one. I love food too much and even dream about it. Lol
  133. M

    food

I've had a weekend like that. Managed to work up 28 activity points as I've been hillwalking for a few days but I've eaten truckloads of foods. Now just need to behave myself till my weigh in on Thursday to hopefully get a STS. Tomorrow is always a new day to start afresh.
  134. M

Did anyone else spectacularly FAIL this weekend?

Me! I went well over on Saturday and Sunday. Stopped counting. But started back yesterday and called it a wee hiccup but I'm sure it won't be the last I have until I lose this weight.
  135. M

    May challenge!

I'd like to join. Really want to lose this weight once and for all. Can't even call it baby weight any more as my baby is almost 5! looking for 8lb loss in May Hannata - 10lbs Charlotte-Eve - 6lbs Miss D - 8lbs
  136. M

    What's your ideal size?

I'd love to get down to a size where I could buy a bra anywhere. I'm a 34H/J and carry all my weight on my waist and boobs. Would love to get back into my size 10 jeans again too. With the size of my chest I'll never get below a 14 on top.

    Weight Watchers food scales

We can still use the discount coupons on the already reduced electrical stuff in class. Leader last week was taking them for the calculator. She said WW had left it up to the leaders whether to accept the coupons just now or not. Would have thought most leaders would have done the same.
  138. M

Interesting article on the WW PP Plan.

That's a great article and explains why some people are losing slower than they're used to. And that losses this way are healthier. Thanks for sharing.

This week I was proud because...

OT I'm also a part time student (not with OU though but with my local uni) and it's tough juggling everything. But I'm happy as I've lost 3lbs this week :-)

Those who have put on weight with pp

For those who have put on weight with pp I've got a question: Have your measurements changed? Have they decreased? Just wondering if people are losing cm but not weight as I'm guessing most people don't measure themselves weekly only weigh
  142. M

Inexplicable gain on 1st week of ProPoints

I'm guessing that it's just your body catching up with the great loss you had the week before. Do you measure yourself as well as your weight? Maybe you've lost a few cm but it just doesn't show up as a weightloss?
  143. M

    Ahhhh e-source again!

E-source has decided that my weigh in day is Sunday and won't let me change it! Says I can change it in a few weeks! Means it has reset my weekly allowance back to 49 today even though I just started pp on Thursday  Thinking of just cancelling my monthly pass as e-source is unreliable and...

    points for cooked fruit?

Brilliant, thanks. Just moving over from SW where cooked or pureed fruit is synned so wondered if it was the same with PP. Means I can have stewed apples for dessert tonight :-)
  146. M

    points for cooked fruit?

Hi I was wondering if PP for cooked fruits is also 0. I've been looking through esource but can't seem to find the answer there. TIA

    Weightwatchers - Changing ??

I was hoping to sign back up to Weightwatchers but might now wait till after the change to stop me getting confused. I wonder what will happen to all the weightwatchers from heinz stuff as it's points will be totally wrong. Or will they all be relaunched?
