    Back after a long time!

Thanks everyone, it's nice to be back :) Plymouth is COLD right now! But no snow... yet. I'm doing the diet from home, and trying to get back into exercising at home too. I've been playing on the wii fit, but I will try getting my old Rosemary Conley dvds out too!

    Back after a long time!

Hi everyone, I used to post here ages ago (5 years according to when I last updated my weight ticker ). I was following Slimming World / Rosemary Conley back then. Now, 1 baby boy later, I have a bit more weight to lose than last time! I'm following the British Heart Foundation healthy...

    O/T Work Rant - sorry

Hey Sarah, I don't blame you for being mad! I hope you get your pay issues resolved, I don't know much about these things, but maybe the Citizens Advice bureau could help? Rights to pay

Just wanted to say sorry to hear of your loss too, SarahG. I hope it went OK yesterday and your house move goes smoothly :hug99:

Well, it's better to stay the same than put it on I suppose :) I'm sure you'll shift the last bit though!

    Challenge

Another two and a half off this week, so I didn't mess it all up after the weekend after all :) And my ratty is on the mend, it seems it was an infection so she's on antibiotics. It cost a small fortune in vets bills, but she's worth every penny. :D

    Challenge

Thanks, it all went really well, went at a brisk walk, and there was a great atmosphere there too. Did quite well at the BBQ too, had one bottle of stella (~ 500 ml I think), 1 beef burger, 1 kebab and salad. And then just had more salad for tea - no idea what the calories all added up to, but...

Good luck with the challenge FAR, having a mini-goal should help :) Not been very good myself this weekend, had steak for tea last night, and garlic bread was eaten (garlic bread is my downfall), doing the race for life today (walking, not running!) but having a family BBQ afterward so may all...

    Newbie!

Hi Skinny, I remember you from the SW forum :) I decided to give RC a go as I needed a bit more discipline! I'm doing it from home though, just using the books and exercise DVD's. Hope you're enjoying it :)

    Challenge

End of July sounds good :) I'm going for about two pounds a week, so I'll say 1 stone to lose by the end of July.
  15. Ju1979

    Feeling disheartened

Keep at it - 6lbs is a really good weight loss! It may be slower than other diets, but it's better for you to lose weight more slowly and KEEP it off, plus being encouraged to have a healthier lifestyle. I feel the same sometimes, and think I still look as large as ever, and that I must have...

3lb lost this week - so just half a pound off my target :) Are we having another challenge for end of June or July?
  17. Ju1979

Is this the quietest board? Lets turn it around!

Hi Jen09, I'm new to RC as well, so not got much experience of the menus (and can't stomach fish either), but the mushroom and pasta bake from the official RC website is lovely (its listed on the recipe page).

Well done everyone :) I found a great way to lose about 20 lbs instantly - I miscalculated how many pounds are in a stone when setting up my ticker (I thought the amount I had to lose looked a bit daunting) :p

    Rosemary Conley5% fat cheese

I tried some yesterday - it looks and feels really weird which was a bit off putting - all slimy to hold as I was grating it... I had it on the mushroom and pasta bake, I thought it was ok, (nowhere near as nice as the real thing of course). It didn't taste so nice when reheated as leftovers...

Starting RC (just waiting for the book!)

Thanks for the welcome, I know this board is fantastic for the support (I used to post on here when I did SW so I knew where to come back to!) And someone else at work has just started weighing in with us, so that's two people to keep an eye on me :p

I've not been too good since Thursday, my body clock was all out of whack because of my early start that day and I've been feeling severely knackered :raincloud: But I did a good twenty minutes on the trampette yesterday, and walked for about 15 mins. Today I've walked for 30 minutes, and am...

What do you eat on Weigh in day.....

I just do the same as I would on any other day. My reasoning is that it's the overall weight loss that's being measured, so as long as I do the same each week it won't matter in the long run if I eat before or after weigh in. Also, mine is at 7.00 pm and I walk there and back - no way am I doing...

Didn't do my trampette yesterday, but did walk for 15 mins, so half a day off? Walked to work today, and also to and from my weigh in, so in total I walked for an hour - I lost 1.5 pounds this week :):):)

New March and April challenge EXCERCISE

I'm in :) I will walk either to or from work instead of getting the bus (30 min walk). If its the weekend or I have a day off, then 30 mins on the trampette (starting from tomorrow, better dig it out!).

will it make that much of a difference?

Hi Ruthy, I'm OK, I'm sticking to the diet but I don't know how well I'm doing at the minute - missed Tuesday's WI as I had the flu :( So if I've only lost another half a pound next week after missing a WI I'm going to be really gutted! :p Ju

    Week 9 weigh in

Hey Roz, don't give up now, you are doing so well, keep going and you will get there. You've already lost so much on this diet, so there's no reason why you won't go on to lose all that you aim to. :vibes: and :patback: Ju

    Nice to Know

Hi All, I thought it might be helpful to have a thread where we can post things that we've found out on SW, like food that is unexpectedly free, treats that you thought would be so high in syns they weren't worth bothering with but are actually not too bad, stuff you've tried that you wouldn't...

I love the creamy pasta bake from the SW comfort food recipe book - free on green :) Cut up some veggies and chuck them into a roasting tin - I use onion, mushrooms, courgette and aubergines, crush a few cloves of garlic and sprinkle them over the veg. Spray with Fry Light. Roast for 15-20...

Hey Ruthy, I don't have any advice 'cos I'm a newbie to all this and don't know what to suggest, BUT, even though you've put on a little, overall you've still lost a lot :) Maybe it will be like those two weeks you stayed the same, and you'll have a big drop next week to make up for it! Keep...

Thanks guys, good to know I'm not the only one who's been in this boat :) I've only managed to do one red day so far, I really struggle with them like you, Ruthie!
