A Healthier Lifestyle Quest!!

Heyy, so as expected I heaved from waking up to getting in the car, we got lost and I really had to relax myself walking up the massive stairs, across the bridge into the building , like getting into an aeroplane lol.

I struggled a tiny bit waiting with all the other people, I eventually said... 'soo guys, we may be here for 2 hours, shall we have a conversation?' Lol so I talked my anxiety away. The interview wasnt too bad... its extremely well paid but its a trial period of 8 weeks before your taken on fully. 36.5hrs a week, 5/7. 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm.

I expect to be the same tomorrow in anxiety but I know what to expect at least.

My best friends babies 6 months atm. He loves bouncing :)

Hi Erin, well done with the no scale hopping and you look gorgeous in your pics, you have curves in all the right places!

Hello everyone.

Had a lot of fun babysitting my nephew today. He was as good as gold. Also fairly certain I must have burned some calories running around after him haha. He basically army crawls at record speed, it's crazy!!
Gonna be a right wee terror when he starts walking!

On with the show!

B - Multigrain Hoops with skimmed milk 109
L - Ham salad sandwich on white bread with mayo 334
(S - Cheese+spring onion toastie)
339
D -
Spaghetti bolognese
439

Others: 2 litres water
Exercise: Half hour Dance Central.

Total calories: 1,222

I wouldn't usually have a snack, least not basically a sandwich! But I have been feeling quite hungry the last few days and this still keeps me within my calorie limit so fingers crossed I get the result I want on the scales come Sunday!! Technically I have some calories left if I eat right up to my 1,400 limit. And even then, my BMR is something like 1,600 so it's all good. I'll probably have a banana and strawberry fruit salad for dessert since I'm a little lacking on the fruit front today.

Going to my boyfriend's to stay for the weekend right after work tomorrow so may not be able to update daily. If I can't, I'll just log all my weekend diaries on Monday night when I get home. I definitely won't be falling off the wagon at his since he is on a health-kick too AND he has a fancy new treadmill. I'll be giving that a go so wish me luck!!

Hope you are all well.

Over and out!

Morning!

Thought I'd at least get today's food-diary in before I go to work then to my boyfriend's. Non-food related news is that there is no news!! Not on the job-front or on the teaching-front. Both the company I interviewed with and the university said I would find out by the end of this week but so far I haven't heard a peep :(.

Fooooood stuffs!

B - Banana and strawberries smoothie 109
L - Tuna and tomato sandwich,white bread,light mayo 399
D -
Chicken and veg stirfry with rice noodles
559

Others: 2 litres water, banana for snack at 105 cal.
Exercise: Half hour Dance Central.

Total calories: 1,293

A respectable amount of calories for today's total. Although I caved in and weighed today and am apparently +1lb!! I'm just putting that down to daily fluctuation and the fact it still feels like my totm. Hard to tell on this new stupid pill!! Anyway, hopefully come Sunday I'll be at most the same as last week. I'll be gutted if it's an actual gain.

Enjoy your weekend folks! I'll probably not check back in til Monday night now.

Over and out!

Tesco told me wait one week but if I heard nothing (email or phone) to ring them... perhaps do so? :)

i wish i had easy access to a treadmill, or even an exercise bike... might try and persuade the other half that it's a good investment.

hope you hear some good news soon!

If you can afford one, spin bikes are the best to buy, £100-£150 on eBay, these are used in Spin classes that cost like £5 a session, just doing this as a teen 3 night s aweek for an hour lost me 3 stone... my current spinbike has a hard seat which we need to replace which is why we don't use it as mcuh as we sshould lol. <3

I am now currently looking up spin bikes on ebay!! Thanks for the tip!!

Hellooo everyone!

I have returned and am gutted to be reporting a Stay The Same for last week. :( I did let it slip a little over the weekend (pizza and chocolate, eek!!) but I also think my contraceptive pill has a lot to answer for. I've felt rundown and bloated and have been a complete nightmare (PMT central 24/7!!) so have decided to come off it and see if things improve, mood-wise at least.

I'm not going to bother updating my food diary for the weekend since I slipped off the wagon somewhat. I'll just jump right in with today.

Back to good food!

B - Banana and strawberries smoothie 223
L - Tuna salad sandwich and spicy chicken wing 331
D - Homemade chicken and chorizo jambalaya
500

Others: 2 litres water, 2 blueberry pancakes at 382 cal.
Exercise: Half hour Dance Central.

Total calories: 1,436
So I am slightly over-target on calories but that's only because it's Pancake Tuesday!! :p. In other news, I am a bit worried/disappointed that someone has had an email offering them a place on the PGDE primary course and I still haven't heard a thing yet! No news is good news...right?

Over and out!

Ah don't worry about it, I've been on and off most of the weekend... my life seems to be spiralling atm. I didn't get the Tesco job and was turned down for another, another pig is sick and is starving because i can't make him eat... so he's going to a specialist tonight if Daniel stops messing around. theres some stupid 'important' foodball match on tonight and he won't budge on missing it... It's irritating me because Cally could die! >:'(

Oh no , poor pig! I hope he perks up! Stupid football! :(. I also found out I didn't get a library assistant job I had applied for a few weeks ago. No luck on the job front seems to be the theme for us. Urgh!

Id love to work in a library :)

His teeth over grew, one of his back teeth was growing into his tongue and his bottom teeth were too long so he wasnt able to stick his tongue out. :/ boyfriend missed football.

Morning all.

First of all, that chicken and chorizo jambalaya we had for dinner last night was delicious. Got the recipe off the bbc good food website if any one is interested. Although you will need a wee bit more stock than the recipe suggests. We just made an extra 200ml and added as required.

Today's foodstuffs!

B - Banana,blueberries and strawberries smoothie 233
L - Nothing
D - Battered cod with syn-free chips
379

Others: 2 litres water.
Exercise: Half hour Dance Central.

Total calories: 613

My count is so low today because it's Ash Wednesday - a day of fasting. I thought about fasting completely but I think that would encourage a binge tomorrow. I know the way my mind works. So this will have to do!! For Lent I am going to try and include a fat-burning/muscle workout for half an hour each day as well as my Dance Central exercising. Will let you know how I am getting on!!

Still no word about primary teaching and loads more folk have posted on that forum saying they have been offered a place so my guess is it is definitely a no for me. Just wish they would hurry up and email me so I knew for sure!!

Over and out!

Has it been more than a week? If so, I'd ring them yourself now... Are you religious? My OH asked me what I was giving up for Lent and i said, I've already given up meat almost, plus it's a religious thing isn't it? So nothing lol...

I could do a challenge but i tend to fail at the word challenge lol... I've got the EA Active 2 on Kinect to try out but when I went into the kitchen to make breakfast my knee twisted weird and now it really hurts :((

Do you cook mainly from recipes? I bought for 3 recipes out of my hairy dieters book and it came near £50! :/ now I don't eat mince, I can't make cheap cottage pies and such either >.< I also bought free range chicken and the idiot who picked my food for me, picked the most expensive packs (by weight) £6 for 2 small breasts!

I was brought up Catholic - don't agree with every single belief but on the whole would still consider myself fairly religious and spiritual. I usually always try to give up chocolate(and usually fail haha) but since I'm not really eating much of that right now I figured it wasn't a fair thing to try and give up. haha.

I used to play Roller Derby and ended up twisting my knee and straining the ligaments quite badly. Still get a bit of jip with it and that was over 3 years ago now! Just take it easy and don't overdo things - our bodies have limits and I sometimes forget until my knee starts twinging in pain!

Yup, recipes are the way forward. I try to have a meal made from scratch for my dinner as often as I can. I just use online recipes. If I'm feeling adventurous I'll try my own wee concoctions but not all that confident in my cooking just yet! It is ridiculously expensive for organic/free range/ good food. My little sister bought some stew stuff from the butchers yesterday and it cost her £17!! For a bit of lamb, beef and something else. Crazy.

I think it depends on the butchers, the market one, you can get almost double the meat for the same price as tesco price (if that makes sense). I'd only be buying chicken breasts anyhow, i'm not even sure if organic chicken is free range but the don't have any 'obvious' free range chicken unless it's a whole chicken.

My moms catholic, I grew up Mormon, then moved onto Buddhism and now I'm just me for a while... I'm properly still more Buddhist then anything but I don't concentrate on it as much as I used too.. It's hard to do when you have depression because you have to chant things like, today may be the day I die and so on... (it's a way of accepting death and well trying to live your life to the full) but most peopel like to remain ignorant lol.

Has someone ever told you something thats so far from your beliefs (not necessary religious) and you didn't know how to react? I was talking to my boss about finding out that one of my newest best friends owns fur coats (completely against my beliefs) obviously it doesn't affect my friendship unless she started buying more now (these were bought in Russia years ago)... then my boss came out with, I hunt foxes and I know people are against that... her excuse for it? It's part of my culture as a horse rider... I was like WTF? How is that a culture? It's more of a culture for the royalty... I just stayed stone faced, I didn't know what to say or do about it, plus isn't it illegal? I know a Peta member would of given her a piece of there mind but I just don't have that kind of confidence...

Someone on my facebook just said 'what does that cat think it's doing laying a paw on my child'... does she really think the cat did it on purpose because it wanted to be evil? :/ xx

There's a little Buddhist tea room place in Dundee, the mum of an old school friend is Buddhist and she took us there when we were in our teens. It was such a nice, tranquil place. There were monks meditating in this little room at the back. I don't think I have the discipline to follow something like that.

Some people are so bigoted and ignorant when it comes to certain things. Quite insensitive of your boss to even tell you she fox hunts when she obviously knows your stance on animal cruelty. I got in to an argument with a street preacher once about homosexuality. I got so mad and he asked 'are you a lesbian then?' just because I had been standing my ground and sticking up for what I believe is right. I try my best to avoid them these days.
xx

It was weird, she stood in my personal space whilst she said it... I realised what a stupid question it was... even my other boss says I'm lying when I tell her which products I avoid that are tested on animals, she's like, I don't believe that... :/ some people are kinda stupid lol and it's funny because she's really headstrong and smart but obviously not.

Lol Mormons are like that, I attract them as they seem to know I used to be 'one of them'... it's a lovely religion but they're very pushy and strict. They're ones who knock on your door and usually have black name tags. They push and push at you until you want to scream...

xxxx

I've had Jehovah's Witnesses at my door on a few occasions. I'm too polite to turn them away so I always just explain I'm Catholic and take one of their little booklets. Don't think I've ever encountered Mormons though...

I'm so annoyed. Me and my boyfriend were going to go to the cinema earlier to see Wreck It Ralph but the bus didn't turn up. We're going to go to the 7.30pm showing tonight instead. Take advantage of Orange Wednesdays!

In better news, I scale-hopped earlier and am -1lb! I won't update my stats etc til official weigh in day on Sunday. Maybe by then I'll be down some more. *fingers crossed*

xxx

Mormons wouldn't let you close your door lol
