Advice about water needed

After a bit of advice re water consumption....

after 2 weeks have successfully lost 7lbs which is good....but think I could improve on this rather. I know I have only been cutting out snacks and other foods so am going to try to address meals choices and having done SW before think will do this again

However not sure on the amount of water I should try and drink. Able to drink quite a lot in warmer weather but just not into it in the winter. How much should I try to drink? Not likely to get near the 2 litres that has been suggested by some dieticians.

Does it make a difference?

I try and drink 3 litres a day,plus I drink lots when I am in the gym too.
2litres is a good amount to aim for I think. Dont forget that the water used in tea and coffee counts towards your water intake,it doesn't just have to be plain old water!

Not sure about other people but I know if I dont drink enough water I get headaches and my skin goes dry,so drinking enough helps keep my skin clear :)

Absolutely agree with Claire, dry skin, headaches and constipation all come from my not drinking enough water. 2 litres is a good amount to aim for. If you aim to drink a good glassful (about 1/2 pint) with each of your 3 tabs it can add up to nearly a litre, then about 3 or 4 mugs of coffee or tea and you're a good way there. Also have a glass of sugar free cordial made up with water as you're watching tele, reading, posting or whatever in the evenings. I have PLJ, which has the added benefit of killing my sweet tooth, I dont know how, but it does.

in the winter weathers i have been instead of cold water in my squash ive been using hot water...
i use the double strength no added sugar ones from tesco or asda. and its really nice.. things like the berries, or the strawberry ones are my fave!!

and it warms you up too!!!

Have been trying to drink a glass with pills before having a different soft drink or tea...been ok but when took the dog for a walk this afternoon absolutely bursting for loo in middle of walk despite having gone before set off...

ho hum....the trials of drinking more pmpl (almost quite literally!!!)

lol at pmsl - i know what you mean, I've been drinking loads but getting very desperate to go!!

The best thing I have found is to fill up 2 x 1l bottles of water and keep them with you, I find that when its next to me I drink it without really thinking.

I drink around 1.5ltrs a day. Maybe 2 if i hit the gym. Try drink between 1-2ltrs a day and i'm sure thats in the right area.

welcome to the world of drinking loads!!! Some times feels like you only went to the loo 5 mins ago!! Sometimes think that i should be carrying the port-a-potty for me not the little boy i look after!!!!! Lol
