Big bounce up of 1.8lbs. I think I'm still suffering the after effects of 3000+ saturday. Yesterdays UD was more normal except for the fact that I didnt eat the Mars bar, clearly I'm ill :D

Well done Kitty, its going very well!! Im back from my trip with Ma so having a DD today and will weigh in tomoz to see what damage Ive caused!! xx

Hope you had a good time without too much damage!

Dr.Johnsons book has finally arrived so I'm working my way thru that, having a quiet UD, not much appetite so far.

My daughter in law posted a pic on facebook of me, my daughter and my grandson that she took on 13 oct when they came over for Shell's b'day. Its awful, I am so so so so fat, my face is huge. I very rarely have photos taken of me but this one is so horrendous it spurs me even more to lose the weight.
Even tho I hate it I can definitely use it as a before pic so I've uploaded to my albums here. So if anyone wants to see just how awful I look, go nosey in there via my profile I think.
Now I just need to work on an after pic...for the next year probably:(
 
Dont worry Kitty I want after pics as well!! We will get there I know we will!! I think Ive put on about 4 lbs after my trip...will find out for deffo tomorrowe morning. My DD today has been not too bad at all although I did feel hungry this morning...probably something to do with the big brekkies I have been having in the hotel!!

Its actually nice to be back....Ive never said that about a diet before!!

I finished Dr.J's book and I prefer the website, its clearer and more concise or well nevermind I just wanted to see if I was missing anything :)
That photo I posted in my album has the wrong date, it was actually on my birthday sept 12, about 2 weeks before I started dieting again, so I guess that makes it an even better before pic.

Ive had a good UD so back to things very simply which is all good.I may try and download a before pic onto my profile....if I do get it on there its not good!!Its a pic would you beleive of me holding the olympic torch but not looking sporty in the least!!It was taken in July so is me at my heaviest....gulp!!

Hi Jacci, cant find your photo in profiles, looked in blogs too. You are the invisible woman lol.

Yesterday was my best DD yet. I started out thinking I would try a liquid only day, drinking my endless cups of tea and a slimfast shake for dinner, but I wasnt that hungry so I didnt bother, just had my cuppas for a total of 142cals for the milk.
The scales liked it this morning a 2.4 drop!
I've had Dr.J's book on my mind where he does say or sort of hints that ideally the fast would be a complete one, i.e. 0 cals but most people wouldnt be able to do that and thats why we have some cals on DD so we can all stick to the diet.
But I want to try it, after yesterday and how easy I found that I want to try a zero day tomorrow, saturday. Only drinking water and herbal teas, no calories :D
Of course I might change my mind lol

I did have trouble sleeping last night and if that was because I hadn't eaten then I wouldn't be able to keep that up long term.

I have cut my dd down to about 3 cups of tea. I drink very little milk too so it's no more than 50-100 cals. I find it no harder than a typical 500 day, ifnot easier because I don't have to think about it. Don't think I could do zero cals. I don't really think that 100 cals vs 0 cals would make a difference weight loss wise but it would be a staggering achievement mentally. Xx

I cant really remember how I got my photo up. I've had a look and as far as I can tell, go to "my profile" at the very top of this page. On the left is your profile info scroll down till you see albums, click there to create an album and then I think you have to go back to the album click it again and you should have the upload thingys :) and can put a photo in there.
If you already have an album then clicking on that and then the photo, will give you the options to upload also.
I know it took me a lot of clicking around to do mine, good luck!

I absolutely love my DD's and it is because its so much easier as you say, no thinking needed. I'm great at not thinking :D
I love hot lemon water, which is just boiling water poured over a slice of lemon so thats going to be the drink for the day. I dont think theres much difference either between 100 vs 0 cals but I enjoyed the way I felt just having tea, my body seems to like it and I want to push that feeling even more with the zero day. Of course I might cave in by lunch LOL
 
Well here I am its Zero day! and I'm having a cuppa of lemon water. I was trying to figure out how much cals would "leak" out of a slice of lemon? a slice a lemon itself is 1 cal but I'm not eating it or sucking on it lol So I've decided that the maximum cals for say 10 cups would be about 2 cals?? possibly? So 2 cals or 0 I see no difference, still a zero day then :D

Last night I had lovely roast pork dinner, with stuffing and crackling, roast parsnips, green beans, mash, gravy & applesauce....and I didnt eat it all. I thought yesterday that I would be ravenous after such a low down day and no solid food but the opposite was true. For breakfast all I had was 1 weetabix instead of my usual 2, for lunch all I had was a ham roll, again not 2 and no mars bar. I've had a mars bar in the house for a week, untouched! No snacking and then my roast dinner which was gorgeous but too much on my plate. So I finished yesterday at 1586 cals, how weird is that, I was thinking at least a 2000 or even a 2400.
This morning the scales are exceptionally kind giving me a 201.6, a gain of just 0.4 after an up day with a fatty dinner in it! This diet blows my mind, it really makes little logical sense. Almost finished my 4th week and still I get surprises.

Now for my official weigh in tomorrow I would love so much to see 199, get under that 200 mark but I have to lose -2.6, its possible but maybe too much after I already had a 2.4 drop friday.

Wow, lost my first stone, total 15lbs since 27 sept
Wow lost another 3lbs in a week, 3.2 to be exact. With JUDDD wkly I've lost 3, 3.4, 2.8, 3.2
and Wow I did manage to do a zero cals day, hard tho:grumble:

Official (8 day) weekly weigh in I now weigh 200lbs exactly, I tried everything to make the scales drop another 0.2 just to get into the 100's but I'll have to wait for it, darn :D

I find it very hard to understand how it is I keep getting 3lbs every week, obviously my body must really like this diet!! I keep waiting for the slow down but I'm loving the 3's at this rate I'll be at goal in 20 weeks, 24 march :8855:

Zero Day

Well this was very hard. My mindset in the morning was exactly like the mindset I get when I diet with a conventional diet. Lots of tension, lots of thoughts of 'what I cant have' 'not allowed' distract myself, 'dont go there'. All very negative against food because 'you cant have' and when you cant have it, I want it all the more, which creates more tension. The constant resistance makes it very difficult.It becomes constant battle. This is a very familiar mindset to me, been there, done that, got the t-shirt with every diet I've ever been on except JUDDD. JUDDD flows easily.

Normally on a DD I'm relaxed, dont need to think of things, very easy and flowing and simple.
But Zero day was set up differently. I completed the day ok but I never want to do it again.
Is there a difference between 100 cals vs 0 cals yes there is a huge difference, its relaxed vs fight.
If I can have my cups of tea(milk) and no food, I'm happy with that, thats easy. Having nothing at all signals deprivation, my resistance and fighting with food reflex.
The one positive thing its done is made me really appreciate my DD's and whatever cals I can have on one.

Hi Kitty, you are doing so well!! I take my hat off to you doing a zero day, I know there is no way on earth I could do that!! I have tried and tried to do an album but my pics were going on there so huge it was untrue and not pleasant to look at either!!

In my infinite wisdom I have done a new diary...a photo one which is good for me to track my progress, obviously I have cocked it up a bit and got my first two pics the wrong way around but there you go!! I do find pics are the best way to see weightloss and give you a bit more incentive.

Im suffering with a bit of vertigo at the mo which is a bit disconcerting to say the least, have promised Hubby I will call Drs tomorrow if it hasnt gone but its making me feel a wee bit nauseous so the appetite isnt quite what it should have been this weekend so Im hoping that means promising things for tomorrows weigh in!

Sorry about the vertigo, thats awful:( Its not your BP is it? that would be good if its dipped too low over being too high, I have a monitor at home so I can check mine. Hope its resolved itself this morning.

Had a whacking great bounce this morning +2.2! not entirely surprised as my cals have been low the last 3 days probably too low with the zero day. Yesterdays UD came in at 2155 but a week or so ago I had a 3243 UD and only gained 0.8. Once again this diet baffles.:doh: but I love it!:heartpump:
