Deb if you want some cornflakes have them ;-) I think one of the most important things I learned from my switch to ww (I did love sw when I did it too) was that I got our of the crazy mindset that sw gives you of demonising certain foods while eating crazy amounts of other ones!

It's all just common sense really but having a wholemeal bagel or pitta or wrap instead of the little bits of bread, blending fruit for a smoothie, or having a bowl of cornflakes instead of a pasta n sauce or something else that's syn free but could be many many more calories really isn't going to do you any harm at all.

I think I always knew that but was a bit scared to try it out - as then it's off plan / tweaking/ naughty etc has negative connotations.

I am not saying you should all run off and do ww instead - just that there's really no need to stress about cereals not being a heb or daft things like that at the end of the day it's all calories and as long as you are sensible you are still going to lose. I have never been so relaxed about food it's great :-D

Hope the little one is feeling better Donna try not to let their comments hurt you. At the end of the day although sw doesn't allow you extra syns for exercise most other plans like ww or calorie counting do, you don't HAVE to eat the calories you burn but if you want to the option is there - as basically weight loss isa result of using more calories than you are taking in - so if exercise does make you more hungry and you fancy something then have it but if not that's fine too.

X

Very wise words. I think that's my problem. Unless I am being really greedy and eating pre bought calories laden lasagne and eating family bags crisps my diet is usually ok but as soon as I start thinking sw my mind goes into naughgty and good food and as you say it has negative connotations with it. Makes me think "sod it I have fell off plan, may as eat what I want".
The thing for me is to have sw structure as such. Eating to plan as much as possible but having cereal for breakfast if its what I want over something else.
You sound in a great place and I find that when I am relaxed I do enjoy it all better.
Thanks Laura x

This cold has just taken me over. I hope it goes for tomorrow. I just want to get exercising again and get back on the SW wagon!

Here's a picture to start off..... 7 weeks pregnant! Id just woke up and look like a scruff! Got to do a bit of toning on the back before holiday...

The one in the jeans is when I'd just found out at 4 weeks so really that was a starting pic!

Just realised I've planned a red day for tomorrow, having beef casserole with butternut squash, carrot and marrow mash, but I won't have any potatoes left for my boyfriend :/ I might be able to save one for him, but that won't do him mash... I could roast or just boil them, otherwise he'll just have to have the veg mash with me.

Can't see the photo's Nikki :( hope your cold goes soon too. I'm dreading when something gets in the way of my exercise.... which no doubt something eventually will... I'm great once I'm in a routine but getting back in it is hard, although saying that I've done it so long now I am seeing a difference so I suppose that would get me back on it (it is what keeps spurring me on at the moment) actually I'm tempted to start throwing in a session of the shred every so often as well... not doing it everyday like your suppose to but surely if I start doing however many sessions I can fit in a week on top of what I'm doing already it can only do me more good?

Kim I aim to be on track from tom. I will weigh in and start from there. I aim to focus on losing weight and however I get there, whether cutting out the rubbish or just aiming for healthy diet I aim to do it. The reality for me is "being good" and the biggest challenge is starting some sort of excercise regime. So although I may not be strictly following sw I will use it as my base. I won't be having take away this week....we have take away once week...so changes like this will keep me on my merry way lol x

Okay I can see them now, you look amazing. Brave as well, I wouldn't dare post any photo's of how my tummy looks at the moment :/ but saying that it doesn't look as good as yours.

Sounds good, what sort of exercise are you thinking of doing?

Aww thanks hun :) I'm trying to see my body as everyone else does and taking pictures and sharing them seems to help.

Feeling so nauseous today.... I've managed to eat belvita biscuits and a chicken subway (healthiest one I could find!) but feel like I'm goig to puke!

Maybe I should have a go at that to be fair, I always see all the bad parts. Although I'm getting better now with the exercise.

Hope your feeling better soon, its awful isn't it, but just eat what you can and try not to worry too much about it on days like this.

I applied for a job last week, the closing date isn't until tomorrow, they replied to my email straight away to say they'd got it but today I got a personalised email just saying thank you for applying for the job and just confirming the pay ect. Do you think that's a good sign? Surely if they weren't interested they wouldn't bother with that, but it also seems a little odd that I got that before the closing date...

Girls my work has opened mini gym. It's teeny but has cross trainer, bike and running machine (these are things I would use) as rest are weights. Anyway my point is this...I have just under hour from finishing work to collection little un from nursery so I reckon once I am changed etc I would have say 30 mins to make use of this. Will I benefit do you think? I know jillian michaels always says you need to combine certain excercises for it to work but surely ten min on each machine would be better than nothing? Thinking I could do this for the three days am at work that way I won't be bored with the shred?
Donna do you see benefit from your time on cross trainer?
Also ladies...is is really possible to get rid of flabby tummys? At the moment mine is pissing me off and I need to know I can make it different. Since my boy its more loose and crinkly. Nikki don't you worry you will be fine with a lovely tummy like yours...looking good. Any news on scan date?

Of course it will hun, you'll be surprised how mic difference it can make. You never know you might love it and want to go loads!! On the belly front, my mum was like a size 6 at my age when she got pregnant with me and then 3 years later she had my sis. 18 years on she started the gym lol she was still only 10st when she started by managed to get down to 8st 13 and looked fab!! She always said about her belly still being flabby but that's because she did no ab work, she dropped a dress size and now is a lovely 10 :)

Still no news on the scan date and was talking to my sister and she said I should probably call the docs back because the day I went in the printer was broke so he wrote everything on a paper pad and I want to check the midwife got it!

X

I'm def noticing a difference, I think anything is better then nothing, but yeah I can tell a difference in how I feel and now I've been doing it over a month I can see a difference in my body too.

Will be worth contacting them just to make sure, worse they can say is yeah we have your details just keep waiting. But if something has been misplaced your better off letting them know rather then waiting and worrying.

Thanks ladies...anything is worth a shot. Am totally mortified. Weighed in at 8st 10.25 today. Half stone heavier than my lightest few months ago. Not surprising when you eat junk but even tho I am disgusted its not makin me want to eat better. What's going on? My little one has been crazy during night lately, I am so tired but just want eat junk. Away to have a serious meeting with myself x

Morning ladies just a quick post gotta get ready, but need to write this and commit

Can i join you on your challenge Kim please????

Wi this morn and its still going up !!!
9.12 1/4 this morning can't believe it
I've been trying not 100% but not massively bad neither so thinking being on the challenge again will help me keep focus it worked before it can work again
Bring it on !!!!!!! Speak later when I've got a bit more time xx

Just called the docs and my details have definitely been passed on to the midwife. Fingers crossed it won't be long before she contacts me now x

Morning ladies
Please to report a whopping 3lb loss this morning! Rather pleasantly surprised as I haven't had that sort of loss since my first week way back in January! So girls, it can be done if you work at it! I wont kid myself tho it will be like that again, but after not being on plan properly for the last 3 months, its going to be a good loss in the first week & then tail off to little 0.5lbs....which all mount up!
I was out with the girls last night as well, but was on plan & mucked the chef about with tweaking my meal to make it SW friendly lol!

Loving the pics Nikki & will be so lovely watching you progress with the bubba bump. Hope the morning sickness settles soon for you......have you tried things like peppermint tea or anything with ginger?

Deb, its all little steps & Im sure once you start cutting out the 'rubbish' you not only will start to feel better, but once you see a loss on those scales it will give you incentive to carry on. But dont deprive yourself with anything & if 'tweaking' helps you stay on track, do it!
Also, any exercise & length of time will help & once you start you'll feel so much better in yourself & I bet you'll get hooked. Anyway, 30 mins 3 times a week is a good base to start, as you should build up slowly with any form of exercise.

Donna, I started my week from last Friday as it was 11 weeks til 22nd December....so 11lbs in 11 weeks. If you start this or last Tuesday it will either be 10 or 11 weeks to Xmas Day. If I were you I would do it on your WI day, rather than my WI day.

Yey Ronnie, of course you can join the challenge......think we all need that little incentive & ownership, as like you I was letting things slip a little too much & needed to nip it in the bud before the 'fat' jeans came out of hibernation lol!

Kim that is amazing!!! Well done..think I would fall off my scales lol thank Kim. I reckon I am just lazy. Find it really hard on my days off but I know your right. Once am out the habit it will come off. Need to remember how good it felt last time. If I can pluck up courage and motivation to try the gym then I know I will be fine. Just seems like a horrible rut I am in. My goal is to do shred before Monday
Well done again x
