It's all just common sense really but having a wholemeal bagel or pitta or wrap instead of the little bits of bread, blending fruit for a smoothie, or having a bowl of cornflakes instead of a pasta n sauce or something else that's syn free but could be many many more calories really isn't going to do you any harm at all.
I think I always knew that but was a bit scared to try it out - as then it's off plan / tweaking/ naughty etc has negative connotations.
I am not saying you should all run off and do ww instead - just that there's really no need to stress about cereals not being a heb or daft things like that at the end of the day it's all calories and as long as you are sensible you are still going to lose. I have never been so relaxed about food it's great :-D
Hope the little one is feeling better Donna try not to let their comments hurt you. At the end of the day although sw doesn't allow you extra syns for exercise most other plans like ww or calorie counting do, you don't HAVE to eat the calories you burn but if you want to the option is there - as basically weight loss isa result of using more calories than you are taking in - so if exercise does make you more hungry and you fancy something then have it but if not that's fine too.

This cold has just taken me over. I hope it goes for tomorrow. I just want to get exercising again and get back on the SW wagon!
Here's a picture to start off..... 7 weeks pregnant! Id just woke up and look like a scruff! Got to do a bit of toning on the back before holiday...
The one in the jeans is when I'd just found out at 4 weeks so really that was a starting pic!
Kim I aim to be on track from tom. I will weigh in and start from there. I aim to focus on losing weight and however I get there, whether cutting out the rubbish or just aiming for healthy diet I aim to do it. The reality for me is "being good" and the biggest challenge is starting some sort of excercise regime. So although I may not be strictly following sw I will use it as my base. I won't be having take away this week....we have take away once week...so changes like this will keep me on my merry way lol x

Sounds good, what sort of exercise are you thinking of doing?
debtin said:Girls my work has opened mini gym. It's teeny but has cross trainer, bike and running machine (these are things I would use) as rest are weights. Anyway my point is this...I have just under hour from finishing work to collection little un from nursery so I reckon once I am changed etc I would have say 30 mins to make use of this. Will I benefit do you think? I know jillian michaels always says you need to combine certain excercises for it to work but surely ten min on each machine would be better than nothing? Thinking I could do this for the three days am at work that way I won't be bored with the shred?
Donna do you see benefit from your time on cross trainer?
Also ladies...is is really possible to get rid of flabby tummys? At the moment mine is pissing me off and I need to know I can make it different. Since my boy its more loose and crinkly. Nikki don't you worry you will be fine with a lovely tummy like yours...looking good. Any news on scan date?

Morning ladies
Please to report a whopping 3lb loss this morning! Rather pleasantly surprised as I haven't had that sort of loss since my first week way back in January! So girls, it can be done if you work at it! I wont kid myself tho it will be like that again, but after not being on plan properly for the last 3 months, its going to be a good loss in the first week & then tail off to little 0.5lbs....which all mount up!
I was out with the girls last night as well, but was on plan & mucked the chef about with tweaking my meal to make it SW friendly lol!
Loving the pics Nikki & will be so lovely watching you progress with the bubba bump. Hope the morning sickness settles soon for you......have you tried things like peppermint tea or anything with ginger?
Deb, its all little steps & Im sure once you start cutting out the 'rubbish' you not only will start to feel better, but once you see a loss on those scales it will give you incentive to carry on. But dont deprive yourself with anything & if 'tweaking' helps you stay on track, do it!
Also, any exercise & length of time will help & once you start you'll feel so much better in yourself & I bet you'll get hooked. Anyway, 30 mins 3 times a week is a good base to start, as you should build up slowly with any form of exercise.
Donna, I started my week from last Friday as it was 11 weeks til 22nd December....so 11lbs in 11 weeks. If you start this or last Tuesday it will either be 10 or 11 weeks to Xmas Day. If I were you I would do it on your WI day, rather than my WI day.
Yey Ronnie, of course you can join the challenge......think we all need that little incentive & ownership, as like you I was letting things slip a little too much & needed to nip it in the bud before the 'fat' jeans came out of hibernation lol!
