Anyone in the 9s want to be in the 8's ??

Wow deb I hardly ever see stats as always on minimins on my phone. Did t realise you are just 1/4lb away from target that practically is target!!

Try to stop worrying and don't try to lose weight and it will no doubt come off. Have those burgers you want - you should be having extra syns to maintain anyway which will more than cover it.

You havnt gained any huge amount of weight so clearly you are doing something right do just relax and enjoy it. General healthy eating with the odd treat isn't doing your weight loss any harm it seems so stop worrying too much about syns and HEs and just do what you are already doing so well! X

I am so glad I do sw, its just feels like am good, bad, good and so the merry go round continues.
I realise that this is better than being bad bad bad and if I eat good five or six days out the week then I can allow myself a guilt free day...this isn't really meant to happen tho is it? DAys off usually result in weeks off. I guess I need to learn to find a balance between having the naughty things, being good and doing excercise instead of getting wrapped up in it.

I know that I was really good right up until my cruise in Feb..... Got down to 9st 3 my original SW target. Then I went on the cruise 9st 6. My comfort weight.... Came back off the cruise 9st 9. And in 3 months I've not really done SW at all and at WI on Tuesday had crept up to 10st!! It took me only 5weeks last year to lose that 9lbs and im hoping to there ASAP!

On a super duper positive.... I just turned down a boozy night out tonight! X

I can't commit to every day but what about saying 3 times a week we could do each level once a week ???? And then I'll look and feel great in my bikini in 8 weeks. That means we'll have done it 24 times if we sneak in 6 more over the 8 weeks then it will be complete what do you think ? ;-) x

I would love to join you guys in the shredding, if thats okay? I really need to sort myself out haha

I'm in.....I started the shred n managed 15 days but had to stop cos of injury. I did my knee in around day 5 n by day 15 I couldn't even do the jumping jacks it hurt that much. I'm gonna start again when I'm back from Spain next week. Leg might have healed by then
 
Ok so just laying my cards on the table. I am 3lb lighter than I was this exact time last year. Good? Yes suppose so. Not the best is it esp watching what I eat, counting syns etc......am I the only one who clearly can't stick at being good? Can't manage 100% days?
What did you guys all weigh one year ago?
I know come my night out I will be off plan, I know come sat I will try but know if we go out for fathers day I will again be off plan. No point pretending.
What makes us be focused at certain times and not others? Sorry just thinking out Loud really but anyone any thoughts?

I'm 1 stone 5 lbs lighter then what I was last year, but I'd only started slimming world April last year (which means my first stone came off in that short amount of time, the other prooved to be a lot trickier)

I am also only a couple lbs lighter than I was this time last year!!

I did sw for a while the first time and lost a decent amount of weight on it but once I got into roller derby I really didn't need to watch what I was eating so closely as the 9 hours of exercise a week plus I used to walk quite a bit too basically kept my weight fairly constant. I did still eat mostly sw friendly meals as that's what I was used to eating and a lot of what I eat is grains/pasta/veg etc being veggie anyway.

However I did get into the bad habit of having takeaway at least once a week and my snacks were less healthy too - often had big bags of Doritos or kettle chips to myself eek!

Rejoined sw after the ankle break - well a bit after the cast came off as literally none of my jeans fitted anymore as I had spent the whole time in jogging bottoms when I had the cast on and being stuck inside all day alone meant I really turned to comfort eating. Nice to fit into normal clothes again :-D

Sometimes I do find sticking to plan difficult and generally if a social situation comes up I will just have that day off plan I think enjoying life is far more important and if you can be good most of the time no point beating yourself up about the few times you enjoy yourself. Food or drink with friends and having a good time isn't necessarily a bad thing and I think most of us here have took the scenic route to weight loss!! X

I completely agree with the social situation thing, I started slimming world so I could be happy with my body and in myself, so I don't want to make myself miserable by worrying about syns everytime I go out. Having friends over this weekend and I will be watching the syns then, but that's because I've just got over a load of social situations (and they always have pizza lol) so don't want to put on weight from last week and this week.

Well done 2 jobs that's brilliant good luck with them , I'd try and stay on the 100% challenge when you can I'm finding that it's keeping me good when I can just don't put too much pressure on yourself be on track when you can x

Deb bless you :) I think You put a lot of pressure on yourself. I'm on my phone so can't see your stats but I'm sure your in the 8's aren't you?? And to be lighter than last year is brill especially being so low , what is your target ?
From the photo you posted the other week you looked lovely and slim but I do understand how you feel our heads take longer to catch up.
I think really you are maintaining and doing it really well, why not have a break from trying to lose and just get used to being the weight you are now.
I decided that a while back and since then without the pressure I've lost 2lbs I also think that month I stopped wi every week helped me get out of the scale obsession.

There probably is a recipe somewhere but I sort of made it up myself. I fry off a chopped onion, chilli, mushrooms, toms, peppers (whatever veg I have in reallly, spinach works really well with it), add some quorn chicken pieces (would work with quorn mince as well if that's what you fancy) chilli powder, paprika and mixed herbs. Then add pasatta, I just cook that on the hob for a little before layer the mixture with lasagne sheets, instead of a cheese sauce I use either cottage cheese or natural yoghurt (obviously layer this with the lasagne sheets and quorn mixture) always make sure the top layer of lasagne sheets are covered in natural yoghurt (even if using cottage cheese for the other layers) as I find this stops them burning too badly) and then top with HEX amount of cheese, mine usually makes 3 servings so I top it with 120g low fat cheese, bake in the oven for 30 -40 minutes, if it starts looking like the tops burning then cover with tin foil.
 
I'd love to join in with the shred, I love it and could do with starting again, but I'm scared to start it with me not sorting my stomach problem out. Got another scan tomorrow to check on that cyst, if that goes okay and I'm not aching all weekend (last time I had the scan it really hurt to sit up and then I was in pain on and off all weekend) and I don't gain on Tuesdays WI I think I'll start it again on Wednesday....or maybe even Tuesday night if I can get the motivation and have the time.

Sounds like a great idea. Mentally I was starting come Monday due to being busy all weekend so that's a deal!!! Love the idea of setting minimum of three days and different levels...sometimes pressure of every day is too much but usually when am into it I can do five out of seven. Lookin forward to it but remember to hunt me down ;)

You need to stop putting so much pressure on yourself by feeling guilty if you have a night out or just want that extra glass of wine, that is life, we all have social occasions we attend & believe me none of us stay on plan when we have them!
If you want to maintain your weight or even lose a wee bit more, try to stop over thinking it all & allow yourself what you want, within reason & dont fall off the wagon the next day. I think if you give yourself permission to be like that, you may start to enjoy the 'healthy lifestyle' of SW. Stop thinking of it as a diet & more of a healthy way of life.xx

God Kim you have had a time of it with your neck haven't you? That all sounds like a difficult period and hopefully now that your cycling again and losing brilliantly that your in a good place!! Big fat wow on your journey though, that's amazing.
Your all right...am going to calm it a bit with the worry and guilt. Restart the shred and aim to be good but have a little of what I fancy if I fancy it without losing that sense of healthy living. I don't want to go up on the scales so that alone should keep me in check. If i sts I will know am doing ok.

Excellent!! You must be so proud. I have only ever been bigger during and after pregnancy. Always had issues of how I looked even when I was 8st. Never anything major but Just never really happy with flabby bits. It's only now I realise I need to tone to feel better....can't eat naughty snacks and expect to feel good without at least excercise. How can something simple take years to sink in? Silly me
How are the shakes?

Thanks it sounds crazy but I actually got to like doing the DVD n I was seeing results doing the shred. For example I went shopping in meadowhall n I'm usually 12-14 depending on the shop or what clothes it is I'm trying on. I was chuffed cos everything fit me in size 12 n wasn't uncomfortable. I also got a compliment from woman in changing room that the summer dress looked lovely on me. Needless to say I bought the dress.
Wonder if the woman worked there lol

Proper nice lol. The crispy one tastes like cocopops. I'm really enjoying it to be honest. Had a headache today but been told it will pass.

I never thought I had a problem with my weight then I joined sw with a friend as support b realised how over weight I was. Also my oh weighed 1lb less than me n he's a foot taller.
Once the weight started coming off I needed more of it off to feel better cos now I just feel flabby!

Shred starts Monday !!!!
Last night me and hubby went for a walk while girls were swimming, and decided that from next week we will walk 4 miles 3 times a week till we go on holidays so with that and shred 3 times a week I should be super toned.

Plan is
Mon walk
Tues shred
Wed walk
Thurs walk
Fri shred
Sat/sun shred
Either sat or sun will be rest day :)

Kick me up the backside if I start to slip as I always have a good plan it's carrying it out that's the hard work :)

Yeah!! Take it steady if you've got an injury though she is tough. Enjoy your holiday first and see how your leg is :)

Yeah!!! Good luck with your scan Donna hope they find what's cause your pain. Go steady with the shred as she is tough see how you feel each day and decide then if you do it :) take care x
