Nikki, did you say when you went back to class last week that SW are now advocating a third of your plate has to be superfree on all 3 plans now? Its not a problem for me, as I do that all the time anyway, in fact I tend to have at least a half of my plate as SF as love veggies/salad. x

Yeh that's right Kim. I sat in on the new members talk and one of the new members said "but on red and green you don't have to have a 1/3 superfree" and my consultant said yes you do and it's in 2012 food optimising book. I love love love chopped tomatoes, peppers, onion and mushrooms. I have them with everything yummy! X

Not sure depends when one comes up and could go to a number of hospitals for it as well. I'll let you know when I get a letter through, really hoping it isn't too far away, rather just have it done with.

Glad to hear you've woken up positive. mmmm I feel like I should say weatabix but crumpets are yum!!! Which plan are you following now? (sorry I'm terrible I can't keep up)

Had an eventful morning myself, little one trapped his fingers in the door at half 6 so been sorting him out, then we decided to sort out his PJ and underwear drawer (well his summer pj's, I still need to have a nose to see what's on top of his wardrobe (where all his winter pj's, swimming stuff and jumpers are) and there was a spider in the drawer which gave me a heart attack, but little one was with me so didn't want him to see I was scared lol. It ended up getting away but we worked as a team trying to get it in a cup to put it outside lol

At the moment im doing weight watchers now. I had crumpets nomnom

Donna, sorry to hear you've had a bit of a crazy morning. Hope little one is ok?

Vicky, did you join ww online? When's your WI day?

Does anyone know any good recipes for beef? I have 2 beef grilling steaks at home and was thinking of having them tonight. Having a red day I think, but will leave the choice open for now.

X

Weigh in day in day in Monday. I joined last night.

Interesting, as I haven't seen anyone on the main forum pushing a third SF, just suggesting it! So really it should be pushed as much as it is on the EE plan then?! Luckily I have no problem with it! x

Pffft, it will be off in no time, just stick to it & if its portion control you need Im sure WW will help x

the reason i've been doing red days is down to my lack of superfree!!! It's something i'll keep in mind if i come to a total standstill at WIs. Although i suspect that the introduction of some exercise classes may have affect my weight loss.... I'm still aching from the kettlebell class, can hardly sit down on the toilet lol.

Yeh definitely! She was pushing it just as much. I suppose for those people that have lost on the plan as it was then no problem, but when she said this to me it clicked because I would always do red or green as I found it hard at work to get in superfree and I was at a standstill. Then I did success express and low and behold I lost 5lb that week! So ive uped my superfree even more now. Xxx

Hello All,
I'm trying to find my way around the forum but bit confused. This looks like a good thread for me since for now I'm trying to get back down to 9st from 9st7lb...at my heaviest, after my pregnancy I was about 14 stone, got down to 8st 6lb and now it's slowly creeping back up!!

I'm following the slimming world plan although I live abroad so impossible to get to a class and the online programme wont accept me because I don't have enough to lose...will see how it goes doing it by myself.

Anyway it's good to find somewhere with people in the same target zone as me. Looking forward to chatting with you all :)

I must admit, I've always had at least 1/3 - 1/2 my plate full of SF on all plans because I love veggies/salad, but I suppose those that dont like SF opted for the Red/Green plan as they never pushed SF on those plans. But to me it makes sense to have a lot of SF as its less dense calorie foods & its not surprising some people dont lose if all they have is a plate of meat on Red or a plate of carbs on green. Just for health reasons SF should be encouraged a lot more & maybe SW are realising that people aren't doing it. x

Hello Messyeater & welcome. Love your name by the way lol!

Minimims is a great forum to get advice, tips & inspiration. I've done SW from home & this site is my saviour! Just have a look thru some of the treads on here to familiarise yourself & pop on here for any advice & hopefully we can help. We've all been at it a while now, so between us all we have a fair bit of knowledge. Dont be afraid to ask any question about SW, as we've all been there lol!

Thanks Kim! I'm doing the EE plan (I think :)) as I can't really understand red and green days.

Just one question at the mo really, can you save your syns over the week? I'm going to struggle with not knocking back the wine on the weekends and wondered if I could save up enough to have my usual 3/4 bottle :D

Thanks again for the welcome :)

Do you have all the literature for SW or just picking up info as you go along?
Saving Syns is quite contentious, some save some dont. You just have to do what works best for you. There are a lot of threads on this in the main forum & if you do a search you should find a lot of threads on that subject! Try to have at least 5 syns per day if you can, so if you do save them for the weekend you should have plenty for your wine!

Thanks, I'll aim for five syns a day and see how it goes, I guess because I don't have a lot to lose that it's better to err on the side of caution.

I've download the lists for the free & supperfree foods, the a & b foods and the basic syn values. I'm hoping that I can pick up enough from that stuff & the forum to get me started, if not I might try and get the books off ebay. :)

Yes you're correct, the less you have to lose the harder it is to lose those last few pesky pounds. Try not to over think the plan, just enjoy your new healthy eating plan & be happy with every little loss you have. You've done incredibly well to lose what you have already, so good luck & use us anytime.

Where do you live now?

Oh wow, I love Italy & especially Italian food, but cant imagine their food, if you eat out, is SW friendly lol!

I live in Italy, pizza, pasta and wine, so you can imagine how hard it is to stay slim here!

I have to agree with Kim, love Italy and Italian food but must be a nightmare trying to eat out. Welcome to our little thread btw :)

Put on a lb at WI, not sure if its actual gain (if it is will be pizza hut coming back to haunt me from last week lol) or just because I've eaten and drank more today then I normally do on WI day. Either way I'm not too worried about it, but would like to loose next week to get me just below my target weight again.
Bought my mum two books she wanted as well, the green days one and the desserts one, so I'll have a lovely read of them tonight hehe

Hello ladies, i hope you're all well. Kim sounds like you OH has given you quite the challenge, but i'm sure youll rise to it and do really well =).

Congrats Nikki on the loss!

Sorry to hear you've been having a stressful morning with the little'un Donna.

I've been really struggling with SW lately. Its just really hard with shift patterns and lack of friendly food on the menu. They never have their fruit salad left by the time i have my break and their breakfast bowl (granola and yogurt) i have no idea how bad that actually is. As a result i've gained 2.5lbs this week, but that was also thanks to visiting the OH over the weekend.

Just really need to force myself back into the swing of things but work just completely throws me off. Due to being on an escorted pass for the airport means i can't go and eat somewhere else as i'm not allowed to leave the pub =/.

Need help! x
