Mine is to overcome my fear of gyms so I can get fitter and hopefully lose another half a stone in April.

Took the first step today by actually joining a gym...even though I'm still borderline phobic about setting foor in one! Tomorrow, I get to do the really hard part and actually humiliate myself by undertaking some exercise in one. Yikes!

Oh, and as an added bonus, I get 5 Personal Training sessions with my membership...my personal idea of hell.

Oh, and the membership is my birthday present from my OH (my idea)! I usually get a boozy night out and a handbag or shoes.
Remind me again why I'm doing this to myself? Sitting on the sofa scoffing chocolate was soooo much easier!

Well, I took my first step towards my April goal yesterday by actually going into the gym and using some of that scary looking equipment. I thought I may need sedatives to stave off the panic attack I felt sure would happen but I couldn't work out the calorie content in a valium sandwich...

Today I am starting towards my half stone loss in April...by going out for dinner with friends to celebrate my OH's birthday. So, I feel another nerve-wrecking gym session may be on the cards for tomorrow to try to mitigate the damage of the gin session I am planning for later...

My sister says a trip to the gym is the perfect antidote to a hangover! Enjoy tonight and well done for getting into the gym - I'm sure it'll get easier. x

PS A valium sandwish is about 177 cals without butter ;)

Until recently, my anti-dote to a hangover was 2 litres of Coke and a fish finger sandwich (white bread, loads of butter!) and somehow the gym isn't quite holding the same appeal but you never know...I might even enjoy it :8855:

it would be my dream to reach 14stone 13lbs by the end of April ummmm but i think ill head for 15stone 7 first! lol

My goal for April is to get down to 12 stone. That's 6.5lbs for the month.

Its taken me to months to lose 7.5 though so its quite a challenge for me!!

Well, I only started two weeks ago, and I've lost 7lbs so far :D. The first week is usually always the biggest loss though, and mostly water etc. I created a weight loss regime for myself - limiting my cal intake by 500 per day (which is -1lb over a week), and burning 500 cals a day doing exercise (another lb), so I never tend to lose less than 2lbs a week, and no more than 3 hopefully or I might get saggy skin(!) :(
My first major goal is to be down to 160lbs by the end of May, and hopefully a size 14 :winner:

oh wow! Thats a good loss so far!! I lost 6lbs my 1st week but was doing it from home, i have only counted on here since i started at group.

Im doing SW pure because i know it works as ive done it before and i never got the results i wanted with cal counting as i was always hungry, it sounds like you've got it all figured out though!

Ah I'm losing from home, I'd never be brave enough to join a group lol! Generally I weigh Saturday mornings but I had a sneaky look at the scales earlier, couldn't help myself - 177.8, so only a 1lb loss this week :eek:. I've done hardly any exercise cos I've been busy with essays, so tbh I was expecting to STS, but any loss is a good loss!

I'm starting the exercise again in earnest tomorrow now that most of my work is out of the way - and avoiding all kinds of chocolate stuff over Easter :p. I bought a pedometer and it's been a godsend, it means I never burn less than 500 cals in a session and usually more like 600/650 :D

oh wow!! im not very good on the exercise front tbh!! i just do what i can on the wii and walks at lunch time at work, i weigh in on a monday and so will let you know how i do, let me know when you weigh properly tomorrow! No sneak peaking lol x

Your goals are the same as mine. Although, I would like to get to 12 stone 7lbs first then 12 stone. I wanted to get to 12. by my birthday in mid April, but I dont think ill get there so im aiming for 12 stone 7 first.

hi everyone i lost 1.5lbs and i am happy with that but i was really working towards 2lb to get me under the 16's and into the 15's i really dont want to be disappointed but to be honest i am.... oh well 15's here i come next week!!!
