Atkins / Ketosis (mentions food.... )

Hola Everyone,

I've seen a few posts on here that mention following Atkins when you are trying to cut down on carbs and before you go into Ketosis.

Now, am I correct in thinking that I could have some cheese (not a whole block but enough for a 'taste') or some cream? so I could cook chicken breast in cream and add tarragon, or would that kick me out of ketosis?

I'm going to a BBQ tomorrow and want to have some more 'normal' food, I guess eating prawns (with no sauce) will be ok, and I'll stick with chicken legs (without skin)

I guess what I'm asking is can I follow the basic rules for atkins for an afternoon, or would I be kicked out of ketosis (which I very much DO NOT want to happen)

Umm. Well, cheese contains carbs, so you would need to be careful. Cream doesn't really.

You should stay in ketosis, but you wouldn't be doing Cambridge (of course) and you could put on weight. I could also be more difficult to get back 100% knowing this and that keeps you in ketosis. It's all pretty risky.
