CarolineM's new improved diary

We didn't go - hubby didn't fancy it and after a day in the garden neither did I - plus was nicer to do a BBQ ourselves. Had some beef and lamb - not the healthiest but all the fat drips down so was good :D

Hope you are getting on okay :D

Not bad ta .... beginning to feel a bit insecure as I'll be leaving the refeeding behind and going 'out on my own' so to speak from Monday. We're off to Ribby Hall to give my mum a break Mon-Fri so I've packed some 'Look what we found' dinners, got some baby spinach (nothing if not a creature of habit ;)) and measured out some Lizy's granola. I should be okay food wise (??!!) but I DO intend to have a wee drinkie or 3 - I'm REALLY hoping that's not going to be a 'trigger'!!! x

Like I said in your other thread - I think you will do fine :) It's bound to be a bit scary though, I can relate to that.

Right, I tried yesterday for a restart but the long work hours got to be and I blew it in the evening.

Today, I'm getting back on that horse and riding it all the way to the finish line. No falling at the first hurdle, second or third. Gallop gallop gallop - or perhaps more of a trot trot trot hehe!

Had massive hail stones last night - looked like it had snowed and felt like winter under foot! As if the thunder and lightning wasn't enough. Made for a good night's sleep though :D

Hope everyone is getting on okay *hugs*

We had little hail stones, but they bloody hurt when hit, got caught in it only running from the car in, but they stung.

Fancy going for a horse ride together???? My horse is a bit of a plodder and loves to eat toooo much so is a bit tubby underneath so need to slim her down lol....

Dont have time to fall at any hurdles holiday is soon upon us, July 27th :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

Need to lose weight shorts not fitting....

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaand theeeeeeeeeeeir ........... OFF!!!!!!!!!!!! ;)

Very good for beer not for us though. But soon we will be on some Arabian Stallions. So giddy up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just having one of those days - the finish line seems so far away but not going to let that get to me.

Metal merchant came today - took me by surprise. They have taken the ugly Anderson shelter that was our shed and have left us with a pile of what was in the shed - i.e. rubbish lol

But hey, several trips down the tip required I think.

Had my first 100% day yesterday and on for another today.

It's a rather stressful day, but it's a Friday, phew!

Transformers is out and I can't wait to see it :D

How you getting on Shep?

Well done on your 100%s!

Hope you have a great weekend - forecast is good! xx

(PS. My salad leaves have sprung up like mad while I've been away!)

Morning :)

Not been around myself Shep. Kind of been mega-busy or "not in the mood" - it's hard to post when it is so quiet.

I've lost some - need to update my weight on here but ticker is correct. I just seem to be weighing in when I feel like it. Have left the "challenge" as Google is a pain and I've really got fed up of it.

How have you been?

Nice to see you around guys!! Come on 'set to' .... all this lovely weather might help!! xx

Hello Jan :)

How's is going?

I guess I should try and speed up but right now I'm ticking over and losing slowly.

Was a tad gobsmacked this morning - Col woke me up around midnight to tell me about Michael Jackson. It's real sad, but could have waited until morning but hey, Col is an enthusiastic music history buff!

Loving sweet potatoes at the mo - can't get enough of them. Have decided to attempt to grow my own so I don't have to fork out so much lol

Doing good thanks! Relieved to find I CAN eat - and have a lickle drinkie & not gain weight!

I'm sadder than I would have thought I would be about MJ!

John rang me at lunchtime to tell me 2 jokes he's heard (already!) - I was disgusted & hung up on him  ..... ah well - let's hope he's found some Peace at last, he was a bit of a tortured soul IMHO xx

PS - Enjoying the leaves I'm growing now :) xx

I was also surprised at how I felt about his death. Loved his music though..

well I thnk i am back, gonna try getting really down with this weight and don't seem to have the will power But I know get through 1 day and I'll be fine, but strugglingto get through that 1 measly day aaarrrrhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!

It's hard to re-enter the zone once you leave it - I'm half in and out at the moment, but I'm losing and that's what counts :D

You will get there Shep - we all will :D Jan already has hehe! I'm so jealous but in a good way - chuffed jealous lol

I've got berries at the mo, loads of herbs and micro-toms and some chillies, but the rest are taking their time. Have potted them in some John Innes to see if that will hurry them up :) I'm so loving the home grown basil - I can see me growing that all year round!

I have to say it's a nice feeling .... I want EVERYONE to have it! That's why I'm going on this weight management coach training course (I know I've mentioned it before - sorry) in a couple of weeks - hoping I'll be able to help people get there and (almost) more importantly - STAY there. That's why I'm going on it for me - to help me stay there (here) this time hopefully. xx

My herbs are pathetic Caroline! The coriander is JUST about big enough to have a few leaves off but the basil is tiny and the chives are about 2 inches out of the soil - those that have come though at all that it!
The leaves are doing really well - I took one of my sons a bag the other day and I THINK it was a compliment when he said "You GREW them! They look just like REAL ones!"
It makes one wonder where one went wrong  ;) xx

lol That is so sweet lol

Chives can be tough - I bought the garlic chive plants as I'm a lazy girl lol But have got a pack of seeds I may give a go next year.

Basil - as long as it is in sun with plenty of room to grow, it should do okay. It's pretty forgiving, supposedly - some of mine do look a bit suicidal but I'll eat them and grow another batch.

Coriander - nightmare herb at times. I was lucky - seeded 6 and got 4 that have grown okay. You need to put it in a deep deep pot - the root grows straight down - you'd have thought nature would be smarter and let it wrap round into a ball like others but nope, down and down. Kind of explains why getting a plant that's over two foot tall is pretty much impossible hehe!

And yet the coriander seems to be doing the best .... in a grow bag .... weird. Note I did say 'the best' not 'well' ;)

You wouldn't think chives would be 'difficult' not when all they have to do is look like a long bit of grass ... ;)

Ah well - I'm learning ... and we're enjoying the leaves. It remains to be seen whether any courgettes or dwarf beans put in appearances. They've got a few leaves at least :)
