What plans you got for the weekend, I'm putting my tree up today will post a piccy later cause it's a new tree this year 71/2ft he he excited !!
Hope your little one is feeling better :)
Take care huni speak soon xx

Oooh, can't wait to see your new tree - I've decided to splash out this year and get a new tree too - it's a 6foot one! Should be delivered on Tuesday. Our old tree is my parents old one, so it's really seen some years, and it's now starting to look it, so getting a new one, and some new lights as our old ones went last year. can't wait to see Ava's face, think Erin will like the lights but that will be about it! Next year will be fab as they'll be nearly 3 and 1.5!

no other plans this weekend, just going to take it easy. Made a yummy soup for lunch with veg stock, onions, a leek, carrots, celery and potatoes, with salt pepper and mixed herbs, then liquidised. really tasty, and free.

going to have spicy sausage pasta for tea - will be about 5 syns too.

back to daily syns for me for the time being, until I am much more settled and lost a bit more weight!

Have a wonderful weekend!!

made my spicy pasta - a little too spicy as I think I may have been a bit heavy handed with the hot chilli powder!!, but I had some fat free fromage frais in the fridge, so stirred a big spoonful of that in!

so food for today -

B - banana, bread (HexB and 4 syns), marmite
L - Soup, 2 reduced fat sausages (5 syns)
D - Spicy sausage pasta (5 syns)

snacks - pear, 2 rich tea biscuits (1 syn)

If I get hungry before bed, then I'm going to have a big bowl of free soup, or some fruit, also free.

Back on track count - 1 day

Omg that is enourmous ha ha was it juciy I find pears dry hope you enjoyed it and it's all free xx

It was soooo juicy and lovely! I got 5 that size for £1 from the fruit and veg stall I go to each week - hope they have some more this week. I like going to the fruit and veg stall as they are so cheap, but the fruit is nice and ripe as well, and there is always something super super cheap!

Another day back on track. I think weighing myself the other day was what I needed to do, and eating all that rubbish really did make me feel rubbish - too much sugary stuff makes me feel quite sick. I had my large bowel removed 7 years ago and I have a really big scar on my stomach, and I think if I eat too much the scar is pressed on inside which can be really uncomfortable.

Had a nice relaxing day today, popped to Sainsburys for a few bits and ended up spending £24! Got lots of bits to put in the cupboard though that will last.

food today:-

B - banana
L - spicy tomato pasta (left over from last night, but without the sausages, as I only stirred them into half of the pasta dish last night, they were left over from lunch)
D - roast chicken, roast potatoes, roast parsnip, carrots, swede (mashed with a little spread (3 syns)), cabbage, gravy (2.5 syns) and stuffing (3 syns)

snacks - 2 rich teas (1 syns), 1 digestive biscuit (3.5 syns) and 2 mini cheddars (not 2 packets, just two I pinched from Ava's pack at lunch! - not sure of syns but being overgenerous and counting them as 2 syns)

HexA - milk in coffees

Just realised I haven't had a HexB today, not sure I really want anything to be honest, really full at the moment and was going to have kiwi fruits if I get hungry later on tonight. so won't have a HexB today - wonder if I could carry it over until tomorrow???

Back on track count - 2 days

well, I fitted in my HexB - I got a bit hungry so had 2 slices of wm bread with about half a tin of spaghetti hoops on - yummy, and I resisted the digestives biscuits sat on my worktop.

I also had 3 kiwi fruits - one of my favourites, must get some more this week!

Hi caroline good day today well done back on track
Just reading in your post about you having your large bowel removed my BinL has just had that done 3 weeks ago do you mind me asking a few questions I'll pm you if you want ?
Speak later well done for a good weekend x

Of course you can, that is absolutely fine. :) Hope your BinL is ok.

I got some gammon joints from a butcher near me last week, which I am going to cook and then slice up for sandwiches, or pasta etc. They are about 1kg each, a pack of 3, for £7, so I think it'll work out well moneywise as well, and the main bonus being, that I love gammon!

going to have bubble and squeak tomorrow with the leftover potatoes and veg from our roast, am I right in thinking that you can have olive oil as a HE? or have I got that completely wrong? Just hubby fries it in a tbsp or so of olive oil.

Then cauliflower cheese for tea, I made it a couple of weeks ago and made two, so that I could freeze one. That's for tea tomorrow, with, most likely, some tasty gammon!

speak soon xx

You certainly have got back into the groove with your food:)

And yes, 1 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil is a healthy extra B:)

Today has been a good day foodwise, though my littlest girl isn't getting any better and the steroids finished today, so I went back to the doctors and she now has a chest infection and antibiotics for the next week. Hopefully they'll start working quickly, she really isn't a happy little girl, though we've had a few smiles and giggles this evening, which was nice. It also sounds like she is saying da da but not at Dave, just the noise she is making at the moment, very cute though.

I cooked my gammon today, in the pressure cooker with a couple of carrots, celery, herbs from our garden - new ones I bought in the summer, some peppercorns and a bay leaf from our old bay tree. It was delicious and we had it for tea with some bubble and squeak leftover from yesterday's roast. Ava loved it and had it in a sandwich at lunchtime.

Just making a soup at the moment with the stock left over from cooking the gammon. added some onions, leek, carrot, celery, potato and lentils - can't wait to taste it, and have some for lunch tomorrow. Mmmmmm

going back to daily syns is definitely better for me, as I've been able to have a little chocolate and other nice bits and stick within my points, so not feeling deprived.

food today:-

B - 1/2 a banana and 1/2 an apple
L - chicken, gammon and cucumber
D - gammon, bubble and squeak and an egg

snacks - 2 very small squares of chocolate - 2 syns, 3 mini cheddars from Ava's pack - 1 syn, 1 sugar in a coffee as didn't have sweetner - 0.5 syn, 6 rich tea biscuits - 3 syns, picking at bits of gammon whilst slicing!!

HexA - milk in coffees
HexB - 1 tbsp olive oil used to cook bubble and squeak

That only seems to add up to 6.5 syns for the day! That seems very low. maybe I'll a couple of digestives with my tea before bed :)

I'm feeling really positive again now, and am quite looking forward to WI on Thursday, though it'll only be 5 syns since I weighed myself, I want to stick with Thursday, I'll just not expect much so that I don't get disappointed.

Back on track count - 3 days :)

My soup! I'm going to keep it ready portioned in the fridge. These are the pots from when I had the innocent veg pots, they are just the right size for a lovely big bowl of soup, they completely fill my bowls!

Also going to make some leek and potato soup, and some butternyt squash soup this next week. :)

Good idea with those pots!

lost 3lb!!! Woohoo.

On an amazing plus, this morning I opened my door to go out, and someone has posted an envelope through my door with £120 in, the exact amount that was in my purse when it was stolen. It's not the same money as it's different notes, and there was no note or name with it, only Merry Christmas Caroline on the envelope. I only told a couple of people exactly how much was in my purse though, and I don't know who has put it through my door. How kind though :)
