Coke Zero, why can't it count towards our total fluid intake

Hi,

I have coke zero sometimes and thought that if I had a pint or 2, then that would be included in the 2+lts we have to drink. as I struggling with just water

Why does it not count towards our daily fluid intake?

Caffine is a diuretic. Actually makes you wee so doesn't do you much good for liquid intake! Same as tea and coffee really.

wat? i didnt know this... iv always counted my coke zero towards my intake...o bugger wats the point in even drinking it then if t dnt count...i dnt wana drink all the yucky water grrrr

I used to love Coke, but since being on LL - i've not touched the stuff and don't intend too, despite it looking OK on the label - I don't think I am ever going to drink any Coke branded products ever again.

I used to drink so much Diet Coke, but thats going to change

I'm sure it actually says in the book that it can be included in your fluid intake on 790 but have no more than a pint a day. I might be wrong though. I will look when I get home.

It's an allowed fluid....but so is tea and coffee and they don't count either.........diuretics....pesky things!!

Looks like we're all going to have to up the water!!!
