Electronic weighing scales

Hey guys.
When I decided to get my act together and lose weight I bought an electronic weighing scales. I have noticed that depending on where I place it my weight can vary a few stone. I am using it on a hard level surface.
Does anyone else who uses one of these experience the same? I try to weigh myself at the same time of day and in the exact same place but I am worried I am getting false readings and my weigh more than I thought

Sounds like it may be faulty; can you exchange it for a new one? Mine will vary by a few pounds at different spots on a hard floor but not by a few stone!

Varies by a few STONE??? Yup that does sound faulty... a few pounds maybe but not stones....

A few stone definitely sounds broken! If it's in the same spot it shouldn't differ by that much at all!

Thanks guys for your reply. In my room it varies by up to about 4lbs within the one area so I might just keep it there in the one position and see how it goes. I a, going to join weight watchers on Wednesday so will be able to keep a proper eye on it through their meetings .
