    Hi all,

I just read a thread about bloating and thought I would ask a question. I am really confused. Started SS+ on Tuesday (milk option) and have been drinking the correct amount of water.

Why has my stomach suddenly ballooned up? There is a definite protusion there when there previously wasn't. This is so bizarre. Went to the loo this morning for the first time all week (sorry for being too graphic) and thought that would take care of it but my stomach is still out. I am definitely windy and feel as if there might be more in there (sorry) but don't have the urge to go.

I have 4 products a day including mousse, I have also started using the milk in coffee. Could that have something to do with it?

I'm not sure what is happening. So weird.

    Any ideas?

Hard to say really. You could still be a little bit constipated. It could be that you're swallowing air when you're drinking water (easy to do if you use a sports type bottle to drink from). Not chewing gum, are you? Do you drink sparkling water - that can do it too sometimes.

I s'pose it's possible you're a bit lactose intolerant, but that's one of those things that's quite hard to diagnose - and although it's easy to think it might be that, in all probability, it isn't - especially if you've been having the shakes etc with no problems before.

'Course, it could just be a mild 'bug' - or none of these things, LOL.

I'm not being terribly helpful here, am I? :)

Hope it all settles down soon.

Suzie you have been helpful! Thanks hon. You've given me lots to think about.

I don't think I'm lactose intolerant however I do chew gum- have been for weeks and weeks now. Lots of chewing so don't think that's it- although it might be. Hmmmm. Maybe it's affecting me now?

Several people have had funny tummies at work recently. In fact my belly has been feeling funny since last week- like everyone elses but I don't think they have the bloatedness.

I don't use a sportscap. Is it still possible to swallow water then?

    Nope, don't drink sparkling water.

    Hmmmmmmmm...

    Thanks again!:)

You might still be swallowing air when you drink water, but I s'pose it's odd that the bloating's just started.

I think actually that it's much more likely you've got the funny tummy everyone else has been suffering from. It's just it's not showing up in you the same way - cos you've got virtually nothing in your tummy!

    Or could it be TOTM?

Hope it goes away soon. :hug99:

    Yes.

Maybe you're right with the dodgy tummy and... I am nearing TOTM. I get bloated about a couple of weeks before and I am like 10 days away. Could be a combination of both?

Thank you :). I hope it goes away soon too! :hug99:
