Exercise Motivation

Saturday 10th April

Progressed to the 45 min Zumba Cardio Workout today (going to attempt the sculpt and zone tomorrow, so if there is no update from me, you know I have passed out lol)

Also going for a walk this afternoon as the weather is glorious here today.

Hey you guys with a Wii fit (I have one) what are your favourite exercises using this. I have quite a few 'fit' games for mine just never really got round to using it lol

The stepping one (advanced level).

Prefer Wii Sports Resort though. I know some people play sitting down but I really do get into it, especially the table tennis. I work up quite a sweat!

Anyway, back to the OP: I walked a mile earlier & now I'm going to sand down a wall (manually, got no sander), then paint my bathroom ceiling & walls. Then later, hopefully if there's time, mowing the front & back lawns. Not strictly exercise, but decorating & mowing lawns does seem to burn off the cals!

Went to my usual Saturday morning gym session today. My lovely trainer obviously has too much time on his hands as he had been thinking up all sorts of new and fiendish things for me to do!!

Balancing on a Bosu (a sort of wobbly thing) doing squats and catching a tennis ball between squats. Easier to type than it is to do!!!

I did 1 hour of cardio today, including:

Skipping
Stairs
Trampolining

Feeling suitably tired now. :)

I've just done half an hour upper body workout on my Wii with Maya on My Fitness Coach. I've got the Wii Fit board but rarely use it as my favourite programme is My Fitness Coach which doesn't use the board.

Later today I may go out for a jog. My back is grumbling again so I'm having to go easy. Also, I'm not sure if my muscles have fully recovered from my last jog on Thursday. However, I'm really itching to get out jogging again. I want to build up from 2 miles in half an hour. I've got a long way to go to catch up with some of you here. You're all doing fantastic.

Went out today and yesterday for a walk with the dawgies, yesterday was the mile walk but legs were tired today so did the shorter walk. Have to be careful as both me and my partner have mobility issues, so we walk as far as we feel well for. So chuffed still managed a walk today because my OH half wasnt good today.

Sunday 11th April

Went shopping in the US today, so lots of walking all day long, then got home and did a Zumba workout - 45 min Sculpt and Tone with 2lb weights :). I am loving Zumba, I feel full of energy since I started doing it and can already feel my clothes are looser.

I didn't get out for a jog yesterday afternoon as I felt pretty awful with a horrible headache all day. However in the late afternoon my back suddenly felt a lot better which is a huge relief. This morning I felt a bit down as I hadn't done all the exercise I wanted but I did a core body worked out with Maya on My Fitness Coach and feel much better and my back feels even better. I'm definitely going to get out for a jog this afternoon.

BritMumInCanada, Zumba sounds really interesting. Is it a DVD workout and are there more than one? If so, which one do you use? I think I'd like to try it.

was so nice to have sunny weekend makes it so much easier to get out and about and enjoy some exercise without noticing!

went a walk round 2 different big parks on sunday :)

and i pick up my wii fit tomorrow and really looking forward to using it!

Friday 9th and Saturday 10th April
Cut down and logged a pine tree that was about to fall over onto a neighbour's land. Gosh, that's used muscles I never knew existed!I think we deserved our party food (and drink) on Saturday evening and the family meal on Sunday!

Hopefully back to Kate's Cardio Combat tonight.

i didn't do any exercise Fri/Sat/Sun as i was stuck indoors with a nasty cold :(

I walked to the pub and back (about 10 mins each way lol) on saturday, plus i did quite a lot of sit ups and some dancing around to songs with weights before I left! Thursday mornings I do a Rebounding class at the gym, it's basically a work out on the trampets...very intense!! I'm going to do a work out at home tonight (hopefully 30 minutes on cross trainer plus sit ups and weights, if I'm feeling lazy this could turn into 30 minutes on wii fit/biggest loser).

I think the biggest motivation to do exercise I can think of, is that it really does help weight MELT off! The fitter you are, the more calories your body burns even when your stationary! Ontop of the calories you burn in your work out. Plus it makes you feel good afterwards! :) xxx
