I started a new design, based on the shape of a phoenix with tribal and american indian type patterns in it....no cash to do it though!!

Can you pull a decent pint? I know I've always got bar-work to fall back on in a cash-flow emergency

iv never working in a bar but i would love to. have applied to some places, but the lack of experience really goes against me

It's best to go in and talk to a supervisor or the manager face to face, if they can see that you're quite on the ball and would be ok with customers they'll be less worried about your experience

My first ever pub job was when I'd just turned 18, I went to one of the busiest pubs in town (the kings arms in york-famous for flooding constantly, by the river!) and spoke to the manager. It was the start of their summer season, and even though I had no experience I got in.

You might find that quite a few places will be looking for seasonal christmas staff, that would get you experience to look for other jobs in the future.
