Todays menu:
B - 2 weetabix and Blue Diamond Almond Breeze milk unsweetened (HEB and part HEA)
S - 2 bananas
L - 2 slices wholemeal bread from 400g loaf with 20g sheese creamy original and alfalfa and broccoli shoots (HEB plus 2.5 syns), Rocket and baby leaf salad with 1 tbsp balsamic dressing and 5g seed sprinkles (2.5 syns) and 100g Alpro Soya Vanilla yogurt (1.5 syns)
S - Apple and grape snack pack
D - Cottage pie with root veg mash (soya mince, lentils, veggie stock, marmite, herbs, tomato puree, peas, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower and for the mash: potato, carrot and swede with a splash of Blue Diamond Almond milk and vitalite spread - 1.5 syns)
Pud - Strawberries and banana with a dusting of canderel and 2 tbsp Alpro Soya cream (2 syns)
200ml Kara chococlate coconut milk (HEA)
Total syns: 10

my food for today

Breakfast- none was asleep :)
Lunch- 2 x LM sausages, beans, mushroom, roast tomato, potato cake and scrambled "Vegg" (1 syn)
Tea- beetroot risotto made with pearl barley and millet, chips and mushy pes, followed by rhubarb bread and butter pudding vegan style (HEB + HEA + 3 syns)
Supper- marmite on toast (HEB)
Snacks- fruit, packet of french fries (4 syns)

Had my WI this morning, got my 3 stone award and slimmer of the month, very happy bunny so treated myself to a chinese :) I'm also back in work tonight so I have almost another meal to get me back into night mode as I've been up since 7.30 am

Breakfast- a banana after weigh-in
Lunch- wholemeal pitta (HEB + 1 syn), hummus (1 syn) and tomato with a mixed salad
Tea- celebratory chinese, tofu in spicy red sauce with boiled rice (4.5 syns)
Lunch for work- moroccan couscous (ainsley harriet) (1.5 syns) with extra salad veg in it, hummus on wholemeal (HEB + 1 syn) with tomato on, fresh fruit salad
Snacks- packet of french fries (4 syns) and a banana

Turkish Chickpea Stew

Ingredients


1 cupthinly sliced onion

  • 1 teaspoon fennel seeds, crushed

  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar

  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin#

  • 4 garlic cloves, crushed

  • 3 1/2 cups chopped tomato (about 1 1/2 pounds) $

  • 1 tablespoon white wine vinegar

  • 3/4 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper

  • 4 cups trimmed spinach

  • 4 cups water

  • 2 (15-ounce) cans chickpeas (garbanzo beans), drained

  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley

  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh mint


    • 2 teaspoons chopped fresh dill

Preparation



  1. Heat olive oil in a Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Add onion; sauté 5 minutes. Add fennel, sugar, cumin, and garlic, and cook 1 minute. Stir in tomato, vinegar, salt, and pepper, and sauté for 10 minutes or until slightly thick. Stir in spinach, water, and chickpeas; bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 30 minutes. Remove from heat; stir in parsley, mint, and dill.
 
My food for today, I was naughty had chocolate today :( but managed to keep within my syns

Breakfast- quinoa & couscous porridge, frozen berries, banana and soy yogurt (1 syn)
Tea- bean casserole, banana
Lunch for work- hummus on wholemeal (2 x HEB + 1 syn), fresh fruit salad, strawberries
Snack- chocolate (9 syns :(), packet of french fries (4 syns) and apples

It's amazing, so so nice, and yes it's 2.5 syns for the whole tin :-D I only buy it occasionally because of the price but I love it on a jacket spud :-D It's an authentic American product :-D
