horrible people

Everything that everyone has said is right. You can't help feeling hurt at the time, but now you can reflect on it. If you have some distance now and recognise it for the stupid, thoughtless comment it was and not allow it to affect you, good. If it still rankles you need to deal with it. Write it down on a piece of paper (make sure it is a horrible scrappy bit of paper, maybe an old shred of newspaper). Get another nice piece of paper and write down all the nice things your current boyfriend says about you. Write down the nice things your friends and family say about you. Write down the nice things that have happened to you, baby, holidays, compliments etc. Put both bits of paper side by side. See both of them for what they are. Take the scrap of rubbishy paper and burn it, or rip it into shreds and flush what is left down the loo. Put the nice piece somewhere safe. Take care.

Opinions are like arses. Everyone has one and sometimes they stink. :) Take a big deep breath, blow out slowly, and as you're exhaling let go of the sad feelings that you have. You're already beautiful - your partner has told you so, and I really hope that in a very short time you'll begin to FEEL beautiful. Take care honey. Xo
