i thought this would be interesting, we often talk about the weight we lose but what about those inches
when i first joined sw in june (09) i took a photograph of myself (which about 2 people have seen) and wrote my measurements on the back i even measured my neck
so far its 4 stones 4.5lb gone but also 39 inches lost (thats all over)
so whats your stats for 2009
    come and share

I've lost 2st 8lb this year but don't take measurements. I purposely have never measured because I've got enough of an obsession with the scales - I don't think I could cope with a tape measure obsession too LOL

It's difficult to say. I lost 3 stone between May 2008-April 2009 but don't have that book any more with my measurements recorded in.

What I DO know is that in October 2008 I was sitting on a train wearing a pair of trousers which were uncomfortable around the calves. I wore the same pair of trousers bowling 2 weeks ago and had to keep pulling them up.

I've recorded my measurements this time though!

With the pound I put on this week (I can't believe I only put a pound on over Christmas :D) I lost 32.5lbs last year. I lost 3.5" off my bust, 5.5" off my waist and5.5" off my hips. I wish I'd measured my thighs and knees as my legs have really changed shape, but that's down to exercise.

Devon Dolce 1lb at a time!

Congratulations on the inch losses - sometimes it's these numbers that are shifting even if the scales aren't! Since October I've lost 10.5 inches overall and can def start to feel my shape changing slowly but surely xxx

I lost 2 stone 2 stone 1.5 pounds , and reached target on 23rd December.
I have no idea how many inches I lost as I never measured but when I started all my size 14 clothes were tight. I was more of a 16 but pride would never let me buy a 16.
Now I fit into all my old "slim" clothes which are size 10 to 12. My 14's are all too big to wear.

Well done everyone ! I lost 11lb in 2009 which compared to others is very modest....... but I'm not too concerned with comparing my losses to others to be honest !!!!!

I'm really happy that I finished the year lighter than I started it and maintained a healthy relationship with food for the year too - thats a big bonus for me :)

    Similar but different...

I have just got on my Wii Fit (after not doing it for 190 days! LOL!) and I am 10lbs lighter. That's quite impressive for me, as I'm almost at target. I hadn't really realised how much those little half and 1lbs losses added up to.

I have taken measurements as I've gone along. I can't find my start ones at the moment, I don't know where I wrote them down! LOL! However, I do know that my waist is at least 3" smaller, my bust has gone down from 36DD to 32E (yeah!!! LOL!) and my hips are about 3-4" slimmer. I've lost lots of my thighs and calves as well. I particularly notice my calves, as I've always struggled to find boots to fit. They're still disproportionately large and I still struggle, but at least I can find boots in normal shops most of the time now...and I'm obsessed with boots :)

Since joining at the beginning of September, I have lost 2 stone 1 lb. I haven't ever taken measurements, but I've gone down from a size 24 (comfortable-roomy fit) to a size 20 (comfortable fit).

Only seem to notice a difference in my trousers, as all my tops have always been a bit roomy.

I should have taken measurements but didn't think of it at the time I started. I was too focused on how I was going to change my eating habits. But I am thrilled with the weight that I have lost.
I started on 21st Oct and by WI on 23rd Dec (9 weeks later) I had lost 26lbs :) Plenty more to lose but if I keep on track for 2010 I will be a very happy bunny.
