Hi Helen

Hope you're well.

Looks like a good day food wise. I've not tried Young's gastro fish but keep picking it up in the supermarket and putting it back lol. Is it worth buying? I love fish.

I've had porridge again for breakfast and wasn't hungry till lunch. I do think you're right though I may need to eat more so I've had extra fruit today and I've not been quite as hungry. I think I get into "diet mode" and think I have to eat a lot less which leaves me hungry and likely to snack on the wrong things like chocolate, crisps, white bread and butter whatever is quick and easy.

I also forget to drink and have bought some flavoured sparkling water to try and encourage myself to drink more and not only drink coffee which i'mtrying to cut back on because of my high blood pressure.

Thanks Georgina, I will have to try Richmond's. Are they thin or normal size, & do they taste much different being skinless?

Best of luck with your journey also .

Hi Nic

Yes I would definitely recommend the fish, plus it's the only 1 I can get my son to eat as he says it tastes like chicken!

It is really lightly dusted which I prefer as i find it annoying when you buy fish in batter/breadcrumbs that if removed would leave the tiniest square of fish. This is what I call proper fish with some seasoning lol.

I wasn't keen on the Thai flavoured one but am a fan of the salt/pepper. I recently tried the birds eye new dusted fish but they weren't as nice.

They can be pricey at 2 in a box for £4 but Sainsbury are doing 2 boxes at the mo for £6.

If I knew how to upload pics I would add one lol.

Were you less hungry today?

Helen

Sorry Nic only scrolled down to 'is it worth buying' on your message before replying. Sounds like you has a much more satisfying day. I agree re: if hungry the quickest sweetest fix calls me. I'm going to have a treat to look forward too on weigh on days. Nothing major probably a chocolate bar etc. I'm thinking 5/6 pp is fair enough.

Sounds like a bargain, I will have to get some thanks.

Yes I have the crumpet dry. Surprised I converted so easily as I used to have clover lighter & cheddar cheese on them. I don't really like bananas & worry that if I start adding jam/Nutella etc it will be the start of the end lol

Much more satisfying today thanks Helen. On weigh day I have in the past allowed myself a food "treat" such as a normal sized chocbar or a small cream cake :)

Nic x

I have clover lighter aswell can i ask is it still 1point per teaspoon oh jam sounds nice and as for nutella i wouldnt trust myself lol x

Pleased 2 hear that Nic. It's strange when in the zone I can be disciplined but took so long to get there . I've never found a middle ground, I'm either binging or very strict. This time I am more determined than ever.

Hi Georgina I'm not sure about the tsp rule, but 10g comes out as 1pp on my app which is probably more than 1tsp. It was enough for both sides of a WW pitta.

Day 5

B & L as usual (5pp)

Strawberries & raw carrots

Dry crumpet

Satsuma/cherries

D - Bolognese (1pp for Dolmio), wholewheat pasta, mushrooms, small salad, toasted WW pitta with melted clover lighter (10g = 1pp), 15g 50% fat cheese (1pp)

Jaffa cake (1pp)

48/49

Hi Helen

Your food today looks yummy. I have always had problems with food, I used to binge a lot and still do occasionally now. When I was a teenager I used to hide food in my room to eat when no one else was around - not good! I feel I'm doing very well this time and am very determined a well.

Thanks Nic. I know that feeling ?, I'd go to drive thru's & throw away the evidence before I got home. My loneliness helped me eat junk, which then caused me to socialise less & become more lonely! Vicious circle & I've always had issues with food & self image. That said it's a fact I'm happier when lighter.
