I just got a Magic Bullet a couple of days ago, and I think it is amazing. Fill up the mug with a couple of handsfuls of ice, add some water, blend, then add the shake and blend again until ice is crushed. Depending on how much ice and water is added, the shake becomes a frozen yoghurt or a milkshake type of shake. Yummi :D.

I had a big blender that I used before, and it worked just as well, but a lot of extra things to clean up afterwards!

How do you mix and blend your shakes? What are your favorite tips to share with the rest of us?

Hi Asa, where did you get your magic bullet from sounds fab. I use a hand blender but sometimes I end up with a room temp shake unless I use chilled water from the fridge or add ice afterwards. Zoe x

They sell it over "TV shop" channel here in Sweden. I just assumed that it was available around the world. KD or Loui Lou might know where to purchase it? If you are interested in finding more, there is a very corny commercial on youtube:D.

    What is silver bullet :)?

I just checked on their website and it's no longer available in the UK. There's a few on ebay if anyone's interested.

I don't know much about the Magic Bullet, with our house having been all-Cambridge for a while (3 of us on SS) we quickly realized we needed a heavy duty professional blender so we invested in this:

What I do is put in the ice first -if I want it more icecream-like more, as much as two trays if not, just a few cubes- then the shake powder and then water -again, if what I'm after is ice-cream then less water if I want it more liquid and holding me for longer more water- hit Crush ice for a few moments then put it on high speed and off I go.

If I really want something special I combine flavours, e.g. half a pack of strawberries with half a pack cocoa -I call it "strawcollate"- and so on. Yummy.

I have a high variety of glasses, water bottles and straws LOL I know, it's sick but hey, I've been on SS for nearly 5 months, a gal needs to shop for SOMETHING!

MissAma, hi, great with a fellow Swede :D! I will definitely try the "strawcollate". I have only tried banana/chocolate, my favorite, and strawberry/vanilla, not so great. Amazing weight loss! Has it been hard?

I love my Magic Bullet too. So easy to clean up. And I love the fact that you can mix it straight in a mug. :p

Hey there! Not a Swede but living in Stockers, yes. Where are you at? I think I tried to talk to you on another thread and you probably hadn't seen it what with being uber new at that time and all. Glad to see you're keeping to it! You're doing fab so far.

It has been very easy for a while, then not so much and now, to be honest it is getting kinda hard but only in a mental sort of way, getting bored and so on. I don't doubt I'll make it though, and since I haven't yet so far, cheating from here on would be lame so I'll have to be good -hence combining my shakes for flavours LOL-

£24 is really cheap for what it is. Well worth every penny!

I do think that their RRP of £63.61 is a bit steep though, and don't think I would have paid that, but even so, would be tempted now if something happened to the one I have and I couldn't get another cheaper.

    £24 is a brill price.
