I'm BACK for more slimming :-)

Oohh be sure and post asap.....Im dying to know how youre doing x

Wooo Hooo! I lost 10lb!!! That's amazing, I've never lost that in a week before :D

Am now 12 stone 13 and a half pounds! So I made the 12 stone something as well! (just!)

I feel good, and even managed to cook my son and friend steak and jacket etc without eating any of it! It's amazing what detmination yopu can find inside yourself when you know something works.

I'm starting to worry about a meal out that we have been invited to next Friday as I don't want to spoil it now.

But for now I'm happy, happy, happy!

Thanks Starlight :D Am also thrilled to see that my BMI is now under 30!

I was going to say I hope you're doing OK, but of course you are - you lost one whole stone in a week! :D

WOW well done and now your BMI is under 30 your no longer offically OBESE!

Thanks CC :) I was always cross that I was OBESE as I didn't think I was really big enough to be obese but the facts don't lie do they! LOL!

I needed to come on here tonight to remind myself why I am doing this.:scale: Am feeling low about the lack of food in my life. Can't believe I've not eaten proper food for 10 days now :( Its not fun.

I cooked the kids Thai green curry chicken stir fry tonight and there was too much for two and I so wanted to eat it. I did pop a chunk of chicken into my mouth so I can't HONK for 100% today :( But at least I didn't stuff the whole bowlfull in my mouth!

I've got two evening events to go to this week, both involve food and then the kids birthday's this weekend, sigh :( Why is food so much of a celebration in my life, and wonder how do I celebrate and socialise without it? :raincloud:

Day 12 completed. Had a small Graze pack of fiery chilli rice crackers as I needed to taste something different in my mouth!

All ok with diet although am coming down with something, headache, sore throat etc Raging thirst even though I am drinking my water. Night out tomorrow and day after so hopefully I will manage to stick to my plan.

Hi Susie, well done on sticking at it so far, especially as you are having to cook for your family. I am lucky cos I can opt out completely & leave OH & grown up kids (you'd think they should be by now anyway) to sort themselves out. Still smell the food cooking but not as bad as having to actually cook anything!

I know what you mean about left overs tempting, and how social life seems to revolve around food & drink. Its interesting how strong those things are as an "I want food" trigger - even when I know I'm not really hungry.

Well done again & keep up the good work!

Thanks owup :)

I went to my first social last night and managed to resist. I took a small glass of red wine when I arrived but couldn't drink it so passed it to my hubby! I drank water all night (yuk tepid tap water with no ice) I ate one scrawny chicken bit and a cocktail sausage as there was nothing that didn't have breadcrumbs or pastry on. I forgot my 3rd food pack as well  I had to drink my shake at 1am when I got home (managed half).

The thing that really really annoys me is that I really haven't lost anything much this week. WI day is tomorrow but I've been weighing myself every day and I have only gone down 2lb in total, and 3 days ago I was 1lb less than I am today

I can't believe I am so denying myself everything, and not even losing weight like other people. I'm very pi**ed off today

Susie Slimmer - Why so little lost in week 2?

I just can't believe that in another week (got one more day to go) I've so far only lost about 2.5 pounds this week. I have been completely true to the diet and feel really depressed to be doing this and losing so little. I know I had a fantastic week last week, I guess that's why I expected more but I lose this much on an ordinary eating diet so surely it should be higher? I'm going to the gym tomorrow to see if it helps

Any advice anyone please?

Hi hun, i think 2.5lbs is still a great loss so well done! Dont let it discourage you...you'll probably find you get a visit from the "whoosh fairy" next week ;) quite often following a lower loss comes a "whoosh" in the form of a nice little plump number lol.
Keep up the good work! xx

its still down and your body may comdensate next week with a MEGA loss xxx

Thanks girls, I will hope for that then,

I was invited for a meal out on Friday and did eat chicken jambalaya which is made with rice, but I passed up the cheesecake in favour of strawberry's. And I only had a small glass of wine instead of the usual bottle or two!

Straight back on it on Saturday and even managed a bodypump class in the morning!

I will just pray for a better result this week as I only have 2 more weeks to do before I go away and then will have to stop for 2 weeks and resume in October.

Oh dear! Daughters 17th birthday today and I had some BBQ food and wine. Will try harder again tomorrow!

So far so good today, been to the gym and worked out for over an hour. Only had my shake and soup so far. Bar for dinner with a black coffee I expect :)

Got my first night shift tomorrow so not sure what to do as I will be up for over 24 hours. I think I will have to have an extra soup during the night shift

Hi Susie,

Just read through your thread... it seems the slippery slope has begun for you. I had the same on Lighter Life... starting with the odd tiny piece of plain chicken, ending up in a weekly take away Chinese.

You really must try not to cheat - they may be "little cheats" but it means you are still giving into the temptation and associating food with either 'treats' or something. Plus it will make your life SO much harder - trust me!

I hope I'm not sounding preachy - it's just horrid to see someone starting to fall, and not say something. You need to stop thinking these minor indiscretions are ok if you want to reach your goal, because before long you will not be able to get back 'in the zone'. Once you are out of ketosis it feels ten times harder as well, the hunger can be worse, cravings are harder to avoid and weight loss slows right down.

Again, not wanting to 'tell you off', but as someone that has been there, I just want you to realise that you can't get away with doing this for long.

Lastly...

2.5lbs off is brill! It may not be a massive loss in comparison to week one (you can never match that, so don't try!)... the average is 3lbs a week - that works out to a stone a month...

Keep going, stay strong, resist temptation and you will be at your goal in no time!

Thanks Anna :) No offense taken I needed a kick up the bum ;) It ended up that I lost 3lb last week :D

I will try very hard this next 2 weeks not to cheat as I know that once I had something it made the next nibble much easier. I have a couple of spare packs due to the extra meals so I will have those if I am really hungry or on my 2 night shifts coming up.

But realistically if you are invited out for dinner with 4 other couples, you can't not eat at all can you? It was arranged before I started the diet or I would have declined the invite for the time being. I did go out the night before and not eat anything at all so mabe I felt so virtuous at that eevent that I have in easier on the following day! Hahaha look at me making excuses :wave_cry:

Hey -

Not suggesting for one second that it is easy to get around social occasions, but it's just about weighing up what is more important.

Will missing a few dinners matter in the greater scheme of things? Once you've got to your goal weight you can go out for dinners to your hearts content. Plus I am sure your friends will be happy that you are there to spend time with them, laughing with them etc, the fact you are meeting for dinner doesn't matter, it's just an excuse to get together. You eating isn't what they are bothered about, it's your company they like!

I was never brave enough to take packs with me - to ask restaurants to make up soups etc - the idea of that made me feel like a total weirdo, but taking a bar with you and nibbling on it with a glass of water is easy enough, and you can join in with them all during the espressos!

There are always excuses you can come up with, for example you have really bad tooth ache and won't be eating, or you haven't felt very well so had something light before you went out. To avoid being plied with alcohol, you can always say you are on antibiotics!

When I started LL, I had a 21st birthday night out after one week, and a full on wedding with all my fave foods on the menu the week after. Wasn't easy, but I stuck to it and went and sat in my car to eat my 'bar'.

Just stay strong, keep your goal in mind and why you are doing this.

:)
